Everything. The trulli room itself was what we wanted, expected and got. We kept bumping our heads on the beams (brilliant). The shower was an amazing experience it was only 5ft tall under the domed roof. The decor was up to date modern and I suspect not a true reflection on an actual old trulli. It was very clean and our breakfast was brought to us on time and was very good. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. No problems parking or finding the site (always a major concern). About 2 miles from Alberobello but parking near the centre was easy. What a fantastic place a truly magical town.

    Cannot find a fault.

We thought we were going to stay in a Trulli cottage, but were placed in an appartment.. Our mistake.

We spent two very enjoyable weeks relaxing and exploring central Apulia using La Trullessa as our base. The accomodation was first class, clean and comfortable, and the location suited us well being just outside Alberobello in the quiet and beautiful countryside. A half hour walk or a five minute drive gets you into the centre of town and a half hour drive to the coast at Fasano takes you to numerous small beaches. La Trullessa has its own bakery and shop and that meant fresh bread every morning and the chance to try out delicious desserts. The area is relatively untouched by English speaking tourists which is all part of the charm but a good phrasebook and a smattering of Italian is useful, although the locals are very friendly and happy to help.

If you are tall mind your head as Trullo dwellers were small . You get used to it after a couple of days.

The staff was amazing, super friendly and welcoming. Nothing to complain about. J&G

The trullo itself is not very suitable for tall people.

Quiet. Good wifi. No flexibility to book in early when we arrived off the early ferry from Bari. Reception know no English at all

Was meant to be a two bedroom apartment but was really a one bedroom with a sofa bed, not what we booked

We had a small Trulli, trying to experience the authentic ambiance of a Trulli. Everything was good and comfortable. Breakfast was rich and fully provided. We loved the experience. The hosts were hospitable, and the setting is gorgeous, among fields of olive trees and hills of old stone works. Absolutely positive!

We had to remember to avoid some of the low arches in the room, because we had the smallest of the trulli. And for more variety of food (there is one trattoria down the road) one has to go into Alberobello and we did not want to get lost in the dark. It is a challenge to negotiate the little streets in some of these old towns.

Apartment was comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed breakfast that was brought to our door. Free parking.

Heaters took awhile to heat up the apartment.

The rustic apartment was delightful! It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The outdoor patio area was great along with free parking.

I thought I was going to stay in a Trulli house. They are next to the apartments.

Loved the place: perfectly clean, well-decorated, all furniture is brand new. Located in peaceful place among fruit trees. There's a huge parking and playground for children. Excellent breakfast with pastries from La Trullesa pasticeria. And indeed Pierro - welcoming and friendly. One of the best places I've been to.

nice garden with olive trees around the trulli

It was quite difficult to find this place (searching by address in GPS) - 3 km from Alberobello. Unfortunately we did not realize that the accomodation we booked was just an appartment, not a trullo and there was no trullo available. So we missed the trullo experience that we had been lookin for. The breakfast was brought to the appartment (coffee in paper cups and croissants)

The only negative thing-the absence of kettle.

Alberobello is so unique that we felt like in wonderful world. It worths to drive the way down under. La Trulllesa Holiday is a little bit out of Alberobello (only 5 min. drive) but a very quiet and nice place for the travellers with a car. There are two different kinds of rooms. Trullos and regular suites with a very nice yard. You should consider this difference while you are booking your room. Unfortunately we stayed in regular rooms but the served breakfast in yard was so nice that we were consoled not to stay in a Trullo. The receptionist can understand very little English but he is a perfect host and helped us very much. Don't miss the bakery on the front corner of the reception. Without doubt, we would stay here again.
