everything was old, the bed was poor quality. no service at all. place had better times
I ve travelled all across the world and it is the first time that I have such a bad experience. I am reading the other comments and I am wondering if I stayed in the same hotel with all the others. Bad behaviour and arrogant owners. No english at all and no informations about the area etc. They weren' t giving back to us our id's and passports before we pay the room the fisrt day!!! No copy of them or just writing the informations of them in a paper as all the normal hotels. One bed broken. No hot water. The worst breakfast I ve ever seen. For 4 persons 4 slices of bread. 1 slice (honestly) of salami per couple. Something like marmelade. Something like juice. Difficult to find it even with gps. The area is near the "strange ladies" area if you know what I mean. We bought something to eat from outside to eat and they were looking at us like aliens. Washed (!!!) plastivc forks and spoons. The only good think was one good lady (was cleaning the rooms and serving cafe) who was the only one who new english. Unfortunately was our last destination in a 20 days eurotrip. Everywhere that we booked it was perfect. But cause of this hotel our nerves were broken the last day. I am really mad for this...
Very friendly owner and staff. Excellent breakfast. Clean room and hygienic environment. They transferred us to the city center on our demand. The lady owner of the hotel let us used to phone to call Rome with no charge.
There were helpful in driving us to the site of Pompei and to the train station for free. There was a large breakfast provided but you didnt get any choice in what you wanted, it was just put on the table.
Once we returned from our siteseeing trip to Pompei we found ourselves in this B&B were the staff didnt speak hardly any english and no bar was provided as advertised and nowhere to eat nearby. The B&B is placed on a busy road with no pavements, it was getting late and we only found one pizza place but had to walk past a few ladies of the night on the street corners. We had our food while sat in our bedroom and checked out of the B&B a day early as there is nothing to do at nightime and you felt a little awkward being there.
The family who run this hotel were wonderful - they went out of their way to assist us in enjoying out time in Pompei, one of the guys even drove us out to the town to go for dinner to save us getting a cab which was so kind. The breakfast was huge, we arrived very early on the first day, expecting to just drop our bags off as the room would not be ready. However, we were actually treated to coffee and pastries while they readied our room so that we could refresh before our visit to the ruins. The room was simple, which suited us fine as we had no intentions of hanging around inside while there was so much to see outside! What the hotel may lack in style and pomp it really made up for in character and warmth. A real find!
It was very hard to find as the map shown on the booking.com website showed the hotel in the wrong place (2 roads with the same name near to each other!) so we arrived somewhat hot and bothered after trekking for around an hour with heavy luggage.
We felt very good at Villa Pompeiana: the staff was very friendly and multilingual, the rooms were clean and breakfast was delicious and very consistent. The atmosphere there is relaxed and cheerful, the guests are of all nationalities, and the price of the accommodation is very good.We definitelly recommand Villa Pompeiana Rustica to all turists of Pompei.
The owners were really nice and helped with our bags and made us a cappuccino upon arrival. Even gave us a ride in the direction of town as we were walking the wrong way. Breakfast very big sets you up for a day of exploring.
