The small and cozy hotel is a good choice to recover after the intensive Italian sightseeing marathon. It's much better choice than a hotel located in airport.

The hotel was so kind sending explanation how to reach it. And they are to explain better how to get there. We spend some ammount of time looking for it.

Located in an alley - felt unsafe at night. My first room was a single with barely enough room for one. Not even a chair to sit on or a place for my suitcase. There was an electrical problem so I was moved to a larger room up a flight of stairs (no elevator) where the door leaked rain water onto the floor next to one of the beds.

It was 45 minutes walking to the airport, the room was nice, we had a good night sleep before our flight.

The breakfast had only sweet stuff like croissants, flavoured yogurt, sweet bread.

Staff was not helpful with resolving air conditioner problems or excessive noise (the hotel is very small and is situated in a neighborhood - someone in the house next to my room was using a loud power saw into the night and the hotel staff just shrugged that off as not a problem). Very poor service.

Stayed here our last night in Italy. Proximity to the airport (FCO) is excellent.

It's a little hard to find.

The staff really cared for or needs, taxi, late arrival. etc.

Staff was excellent and very helpful. Hotel was very close to Rome airport which helped as we had an early flight. Nice restaurants were close by.

It was very close to Fiumicino airport. Nice little walk along the river bank in the morning.

Very strong sewage smell in the bathroom (toilet was rocking and loose on its mounts). Wifi didn't work for me either in the room or in the office right beside the wireless router (the only place in Italy it didn't work in 4 weeks of travelling). The staff couldn't figure it out. Satelite tv didn't work, but no staff to fix it because they all left after 10:30 pm. Lightbulb missing in one of the bedside table lamps.

It was reasonably close to fco, pleasant facility and walking distance to the sea. Facility could be just fine with a little effort - but most of the small things (amenities) were lacking.

Summary: we were bodies filling beds with a charge-card in hand. In a hospitality business, this hotel offers little hospitality. Front desk was sweetly inept, initially put all three of us in one room THEN checked the reservation (which clearly listed 2 rooms), but only when we questioned the arrangement. Description of services on the web mentions breakfast and shuttle service to FCO but isn't clear that breakfast is included - shuttle to airport sounds included but is definitely not.The front desk was pretty defensive when we mentioned it, so it;s clearly happened before and feels like a hidden charge. Not a deal-breaker, but an annoying surprise. All charges (including the shuttle fee) were collected at check-in and that's odd, but OK, until it turns-out that the front desk isn't open until 10am. My bedside lamp didn't work and I tried other outlets before realizing the bulb was out. Phoning the front desk was more than I wanted to handle at that point. Dogs barked throughout the night. Breakfast is adequate and the basement room where it is served is OK, but it's one of those rooms that amplifies and reverberates every sound.

We stayed there to get to the airport on time in the morning, after travelling from Firenze. The hotel served this purpose well as it is located very much near the airport. It is also located in an area that seemed nice to walk in (as a last night in Italy walk), but it was Sunday so everything was closed. With advice from the staff, we took the car to the near by Parco Leonardo (a huge shopping center) for last minute shopping. So the location is excellent. The room itself was very big, with a kitchenette (which we didn't use since we were there only one night) that looked good (new, clean). The bathroom and the entire room was very clean. Bed was good. (Not that we used it a lot but) best TV we had in a hotel room in Italy. Staff was helpful. Parking around is free and there's plenty of it. Considering that this night was also the cheapest night we payed for in Italy, making this our surprise of the trip. We'll definitely recommend friends to go there the night before a morning flight back home.

Well, the breakfast could've been more luxurious... It was pretty basic. Coffee+Pastry and some bread and jam. But served it's purpose.

It' very closeby the Airport but it's quiet so you can sleep with no problems

We used the Hotel as an airport stopover. close to Fiumicino Airport and only a short ride away. Close to some really really good and budget eating places near the port. About 5 minutes walk. Room was clean and tidy, small by Australian standards but normal by Italian standards. Staff understood enough English to get by and overall a good decision to stay there. Place is small enough so not big crowds. Breakfast was typically Italian and there coffee machine was excellent!

Don't forget to pre-book the Hotel shuttle otherwise you have to pay for taxi. Unless it is a Fiumicino company you will be charged about double ($30 euro compared to 15 Euro(

The hotel is an excellent place if you need a place just-to-sleep and do not plan to actually live in teh hotel. The bathroom is OK, however the shower is very small. The room has a card with WiFi password, the connection is good. The breakfast oggers you a good coffee, croissants, etc., everything you can need for a quick breakfast before your flight.

The only thing that was good was the location to the airport.

We had problems that day getting to Rome and came in very late. Our track phone would not work and I could not let the hotel know we were going to be an hour later then we thought. The man at the desk was very rude. I understand we came in very late, but that was not our fault and there was nothing we could have done about it. Being next to an airport this hotel should know being able to keep schedules are not always up to their guests. The room was so small one of our suitcases barely fit. If you are looking for a place to stay by the airport that is just a room and a bed, this would be a good choice. I would not say it was good for families, just singles.

Small local Italian hotel. Little English spoken. Booked as overnight stop after arriving by air late. Had emailed to say this and had a welcoming reply. Rooms small but had taken this option. Comfortable bed. Small ensuite but ok. Air con good as hot weather. Breakfast basic continental style. Cheerful receptionist sadly had flu and not there next morning. Had not understood my card charged so left cash with maid. Email to say we had paid twice and hopefully we could call in on return. We did and money repaid without difficulty. All in all a very friendly place, good value and would use again if needing to stay in Fuimicino. The town is a small port at entrance of river leading to Rome. Only saw north side. Commercial areas scruffy but waterfront obviously being improved and stylish in parts. Good fish restaurants. We had fun but Italy were beating Germany 2-0!

Hotel La Villetta is a budget transit hotel close to Fiumicino Airport. Rooms vary in size and breakfast is self serve downstairs. Nothing wrong with the hotel, it is good value for the money. However, reaching the hotel can be expensive. Taxi is the most convenient and costly. The Hotel Shuttle Bus (shared with other hotels in the area), is cheaper, but the hours are limited. The Public blue bus runs only once an hour,and costs only €1.20. The Green Fiumicino city bus runs regularly and is free but stops on the edge of town with a 15min. walk to the hotel. All of these run from different spots outside the Arrival Hall from the last T2 sign to the end of T3. If you can work out your transport, Hotel A Villetta is as good as it gets for the money, Fiumicino town itself is good place for a meal and q wander., A true fishing town.
