Convenient location to travel across southern Sicily if you travel by car. Wonderful old villa with spacious rooms.
Building,Pool and staff were wonderful. Our room number was A1 and so was the room. Great base for visiting south of Island. But you will need a car as hotel very remote.
The breakfast was very basic, pastries were not fresh, for Sicily this is not good as country famous for pastries. Beds very firm and WiFi not always working.
the location and very friendly staff
The room was clean and staffs are friendly. The hotel is surrounded by the farming field and quiet.
Our beds had very firm cheap mattresses. You can feel the springs on your back and it felt like sleeping on the wooden floor so I had very bad sleep. The restaurants/shops are not nearby so you need a car. The most inexpensive room is really tiny. Wifi only works at the main building’s ground floor. Breakfast is ordinary. The hotel restaurant food quality is pretty basic for the price so it is better to eat at outside. We did not have hot water for the shower when we arrived. Towels were clean but quite old and thin. This hotel price is pretty expensive for this quality.
Lovely small hotel with friendly staff. Good breakfast and wonderful swimming pool.
The location and furnishing.....!
A too smal shower place...impossible to enter for big persons. The noise from the air conditioner.
The pool was brilliant One of the members of staff was very helpful and went out of his way to help us Food was excellent
Our bed was extremely uncomfortable Even though I requested the use of the bikes when booking we were told they had not been serviced and so we could not ride them. We did not have a car and so one day we asked about lunch and were told there was none so we starved until dinner when we had to book a taxi into town to get food.
Beatutifully restored house and fantastic pool are, easy reach of coast and towns.
Had an appalling meal the night we arrived and breakfast was very poor, only 1 member of staff to cope with everything. 4* rating but plastic cups! room was large but air-con hardly worked. cleanliness could have been much better especially around pool area. Some traffic noise and approach road very dirty and bumpy. Wifi only at reception.
Old, clean building, big pool, possibility to swim till 22 pm, good breakfast
Doors of shower were broken, hot meal was cold, around only hipodrom.
only 2 people staying no lunched offered no area for sitting on the ground floor in comfortable chairs little hot water until a school party arrived 3 days later
The Buildings and surroundings
The rooms were quite basic and as such do not correspond to a 4 star location. 3 Starts would better match the site. Restaurant was also quite basic and so was the food
It is, superficially, a traditional Sicilian Villa and there is a pool with plenty of surrounding shady areas if you do not wish to sit directly in the sun.
On arrival we were given an upstairs room, overlooking a roof. We asked to be changed and were moved to a room by a pool (theoretically a nice room). In the room, plug sockets were hanging from the wall and the hairdryer fell off the bathroom wall when you tried to use it. We arrived in the late afternoon, after a long drive, so wanted to eat at the hotel if possible. The 30E half board option is the worst food we had in Sicily. We had a drink by the pool, the tray was still there two days later. It claims 4star accommodation - not on your life! We have stayed all over Sicily, in a wide range of accommodation. It has to be the worst in terms of quality of accommodation and quality of food.
Lovely old farm house in beautiful setting.
We were too early in the season and they were clearly not ready . The rooms were cold and some of the fittings did not work, lights, TV etc. but I am sure these will have been put right in good time.
When we arrived to the hotel we were advised that the "ferragosto" celebrations were going on. What we didn't know is that it meant having live musis non stop until 1am at the front of our room. We would have never chosen this hotel if we had known
