Offering fast service to Venice and the whole lagoon, Murano Palace overlooks the Rio dei Vetrai canal, in Murano.

Set on the peaceful banks of Giudecca Island, the Hilton Molino Stucky is a former flour mill refurbished to become a unique hotel.
Score from 1387 reviews Very good
A classy hotel on Murano, which is very quiet in the evenings. So it's good if you want some relative peace and quiet but don't want to be far from central Venice. Very handy for the airport as well by Alilaguna ferry, hotel shuttle or water taxi.
The bar and restaurant are very expensive, with punitive surcharges for room service, and there aren't many other options in Murano in the evening (at least not in February when I was there). The wifi was slow. There seemed to be a problem with the capacity of the free shuttle - people were being told that there were no spaces every time I passed reception.
The modern contempory design, beautiful room and facilities, staff were attentive and helpful, location was perfect from the hussle and bussle of central Venice.
Hotel restaurant too expensive and should provide Nuvo Crusine and an alternative traveller option of local Italian dishes. Maybe time of year but not many places to eat open at night, but those few who were, were excellant and affordable
- free and fast shuttle to airport and venice - fast and stable wifi - great big shower - tv channels and widescreen big tv (all possible channels)
- poor breakfast (coffee bad, sandwiches were often out and there was little choice in general) - bed had a little hard boxspring feathers that made noise - location, to get to venice is still complicated, lengthy and expensive (if you miss the hotel shuttle or cant take it for whatever reason)
We had a great stay in Murano. Our first impression when arriving to Lagare's reception was wow! Staff was very friendly (always smiling) and did their best to speak in our own language. Since this was our first time in Venice, they dedicated us enough time to explain us about vaporettos and main attractions on both Venice and Murano. We will definitely return to Lagare in our next trip to Venice.
All was very good
No tissues in the bathroom
A lady at the reception most of the time was talking on the phone, trying not to pay attention to 'life' customers..
shuttle service is excellent.
the view is not good.
Every thing was perfect
The staff can improve focusing on client, can be more precise it is not enough to repeat the same things as a record
Everything was great - particular mention for the size of room, the décor, and the Wi-Fi: the first hotel I've experienced where a single log in was all that was necessary for instant access throughout our stay
Nothing at all - except that the secret of Murano is now out there - a wonderful place to stay.
The shuttle services to airport.
it should be mentioned that shuttle should be booked in advance
We loved everything! the staff are a young and enthusiastic team who are welcoming and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located for the water taxi and is near to shops and very good restaurants. super comfy beds and two pillows each! cannot wait to return!
I liked the decor of the hotel. Very modern and accommodates the guest nicely
It was low season on the island and it pretty much shut down after 3pm. There is not much variety for activities and restaurants post that time.
Brand new hotel with great rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely bathrooms. Very comfy beds. Free WiFi Extremely good breakfasts. Free shuttle to Venice mainland - water taxi.
Free shuttle only goes to Venice on 2 round trips at 10am/10.30am and 6pm/6.30pm. Could do with one later in the evening, even if just one way back from Venice mainland so guests can eat on the mainland. Not a huge problem but a nice to have. We bought a 3 day pass on the waterbus (Vaporetti) for €40 so it was easy to travel backwards and forwards. Not sure if the Vaporetti always run if the tide is high so we ate on Murano each night as we didn't want to get stuck on the mainland and not be able to get back to the hotel.
Only one restaurant open in the evening, and the menu is the same every nite and it is not very good and it is very very expensive. The hotel also has a restaurant but again same menu every nite and very very expensive as are the drinks, pot of tea for 2 people 10 euros. No tea and coffee in the rooms Do not try the Spritz veneziano, it is disgusting and tastes like medicine. Alcoholic drinks at the hotel are very expensive, better to drink at the little snack bars. Every shop on Murano is a glass shop there is nothing else there. Get a vapporrto water bus ticket and go up and down the grand canal, it is brilliant (just like our buses, you get on at a stop) do not be conned into getting a private taxi, the vapporttos are brilliant. Do not bother with Harrys Bar, it is like the back room of a working mans club and the drinks again are expensive.
Airport transfer, hotel ambiance, service, comfort, design
staff, location, appearance
Noisy, thin walls, wood floors, echo all noises. bad design as families located top floor- thin walls and resonating floors when children running up/down unit stairs all day/night. Staff tried to help but not responsible for bad design and laxadasical parents.
The rooms were spotless, well lit and well organised. The style was sleek and cool.
The view from our window looked like the back of a Home Depot store or a construction site. The toilets design was a little too modern and lacked basic items such as tissue and an extra roll of toilet paper. At times the staff acted a little aloof.
the hotel is modern well designed featuring local glass. Dining room lovely with excellent breakfast and excellent food and service for the dinner. I liked the location and near vaparetto stop. I choose this because it was quieter than Venice. I liked the pickup at the airport, and staff were helpful.
nothing I didn't like
Th La Gare is Way from the hustle and bustle of the main islands and the waterbus is right outside. It is a lovely place to return to after a long day of sightseeing. There are lovely little shops and restaurants lining the streets closeby. Our room was quite large and very well appointed. We had the best sleep in the most comfortable bed. The staff speak good English and all were pleasant and willing to help. This hotel also offers a free shuttle to and from St Marks, the train station and Msrco Polo airport and believe me, if you are travelling with Luggage, this is luxury.
The hotel restaurant was overpriced. We were charged just under €4 for table service for a coffee which cost just under €2 if you stood at the bar. The table was less that 2 metres away! The A La Carte menu was also expensive. There are other restaurants in the area, so don't let this put you off staying at this lovely hotel.
The location is excellent. The rooms very clean. Bubble bath. Hooray. So rarely seen. Some staff helpful. Airport shuttle useful but hard to book. We had to sit outside airport for 1.30 mins
Bath dangerous for slightly disabled person. No grab safety rail or shower mat for middle of bath. Didn't realise have to come downstairs in night for bathroom. Some Reception staff very formal and not very welcoming.
It was clean, fresh, nicely balanced. Pleasant atmosphere.
Pricey as are most of the hotels, but a better value for the money. The question is whether you want to stay on Murano or just visit. Not much to do in the evening there.
The food, the bath products, the bed, the look and feel of the hotel and the staff were all great
cars cant get up to the hotel unless they are really small and the wifi is horrible in every area except the lobby
Free water taxi service, lavish breakfast, comfortable and quality appointments, modern baths, and very quiet rooms. Away from the crowds of Venice, Murano is a charming 15-minute taxi ride away from the more touristic center of Venice.
Water taxi had limited hours and required reservation in advance; vaporetto service is available instead.
