Heruntergekommenes Hotel mit wenig Komfort: schimmelige Badezimmerfugen, alte, abgenutzte Sanitäranlagen und Teppiche, kostenpflichtiges Internet, sehr laute Gegend. Erinnert wenn überhaupt von der Zimmerausstattung an eine Jugendherberge. Niemals!!! drei Sterne!!!

die Lage ist Top, nicht einmal 5 Minuten vom Dom entfernt.

leider mangelst extrem an zeitgemäßer Ausstattung und Ambiente. ein weiteres Minus ist das kein Lift vorhanden ist, man muss sein Gepäck über sehr viele Treppen alleine hinauf tragen. die sanitären Anlagen sind dürftig ausgestattet und sehr eng. die Sauberkeit lässt auch zu wünschen übrig.

Zentrumsnah, Hotelmitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren sehr hilfsbereit!

Location is near railway station, 7 minutes away. Bed is large and comfortable.

The breakfast is poor, but tea/coffee is free during the breakfast.

No lift, had to walk up 6 flights of stairs to reach our room on 3rd floor, which ironically was equipped as a disabled wet room, with a ramp from room to ensuite for a wheelchair. How that wheelchair was supposed to get there I don't know.

The hotel is in a great location- just 100 m from the basilica in the city centre. All other sightseeings are also on walking distance. The staff was very friendly and polite.

The wi-fi was too expensive and the breakfast was predominantly with sweets- bioches, cakes, bread with marmelade, etc.

The location is great. The breakfast was kind of all right for the price.

The price the hotel offered for a nonrefundable reservation was about half the price that was mentioned for the option "free cancellation". We thought this was a fair offer and booked unfortunately. The hotel is a total disaster. Should be renewed from top to bottom. Blankets, carpets, almost everything, also in very poor conditions. Very poor heating on and only between 19:00 and 22:30 and in the morning only for about one or two hours and we were there in the middle of February. As for hot water, every time you turn it on you have to wait a few minutes before it gets warm. My sincere opinion is that this place does not deserve a star and should not be on your list.

The only good thing about this hotel was its location!

Its a very old hotel with no charm in it. Poor shower and I had to wait for hot water. U should pay for wifi and even after u ve to go downstairs coz it work only there. I had heavy language and I had to lift it myself on stairs. Breakfast included only buns, tea and coffee no eggs or sausages or cheese, they had only holland cheese. No fruits or yogurts. So if u re going to spend some time inside its better to choose some other place to stay. And wat is more I left my earrings there and no one is going to give them back.

Location was good. Hotel staff kindly assisted to book our taxi to the airport. Bathroom was nice and clean.

Hotel is in the Historic Centre.  It is old, but conveniently situated. We thought it was an amazing deal at the price we paid. If I could turn the clock back I would however not book there.  The windows open in a ugly dirty courtyard, the room smelled of smoke, the bed was very old and not vey comfortable. No lift! You have to carry heavy bags up many many stairs, as they give you the rooms high up at the back. Not sure if this is because you book over the internet.  Wifi is not included!  You have to pay extra.  In these modern times? E.g. 9 euro for 120 minutes. But once you log out you must purchase again to log in.  Even if you didnt use the  full 120 minutes.  We went out for a walk, and when we came back the hotel door was locked with a sign that says " sorry will be back soon" , and then we waited for about ten minutes before the door was unlocked. This happened  twice on the first evening. The walls between rooms are very very thin! I opened the window for the smoke smell and ended up with all the Florence mosquitos in my room.  We only ate breakfast the first morning. Not nice! After the first night they only changed one of the two bath towls.

Hotel in a wonderful position. Room was big enough, reading other comments I was worried but mine was just the right size. Bathroom is renovated and wasn't bad at all. Breakfast was just a regular breakfast, nothing fancy.

The room was not very warm, with no way to deal with any kind of heater. They will certainly have heater on in winter, it wasn't that cold outside. I wouldn't come here in summer. I personally don't like rooms with carpet everywhere, so I did not like this: floor is dirty all over the hotel (carpet is everywhere).

Hotel La Gioconda has a great location for visitors to Florence. Written in the Directory Booking accurately reflects reality. Within minutes you can reach all the sights of the city treasury.
