Score from 344 reviews Very good
Lovely quaint hotel in walking distant to many sights... Good restaurant close by... Clean, staff helpful...I will definitely stay here again when in Rome!!!
Close to everything, lovely facilities, very comfortable rooms, great views. Helpful staff with advice on just about everything. If you can afford a roof top terrace room, it is a highlight.
The location was good for us - only a few blocks from the Roman Forum and the Coliseum.
I spilled water in the bathroom and wiped it up with a couple towels. I left these and another couple used ones on the edge of the shower where we were supposed to in order to get fresh ones. When we came back, these towels WITH FOOTPRINTS were hanging on the towel rods.
The staff was Awesome!! Lorena and Michael especially
The location was superb. The hotel almost feels like a private home. The day we arrived we were made to feel at home by Michael who arranged for coffee and pastries. Michael was so friendly and very efficient as he checked us in. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good variety of items to choose from. Would stay here again.
I highly recommend this hotel. Wonderful staff and owners. The dinners at the hotel were excellent, and they also offered a lovely buffet breakfast in the mornings. Well worth the money.
I can't think of anything.
The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The location is ideal for the Coliseum and in fact for walking to much of Rome. Room was large and comfortable and the breakfast and dinner superb.
Rates are comparable but still high compared to rates in the USA.
Proximity to the Coliseum and other major attractions. Cool, clean, quiet and very comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Not only is this hotel in a great location, the services, staff and common areas are well above the average.Take advantage of a dinner meal. The food is good and a wonderful way to meet fellow travellers and share experiences
Our room had a fair bit of street noise, possibly as it backed on a different alley than others(room 57)and our stay was over a weekend
Great value with attentive staff and thoughtful decor. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. You will grow to love the huge pad of tear off maps in the lobby that the staff use to direct you to all the sights of Roma. Believe me they know thier city and they will save you both time and money as you get you to and from where you want to go.
The tea at breakfast is awful.
Great service, beautiful property. A view if the Collesium from the darling roof top and the best breakfast in Italy!!
The staff was great. Very hospitable. We had a great experience here. I would highly recommend.
The breakfast and the hospitality of the whole staff.
Can't think of amything
I liked everything! - the staff, the dinners, the location, our room. No complaints!
outstanding staff friendliness and competence-- i arrived a day early without notice and they made it happen. booked reservations, gave advice but just personable, the owoner Jaris in particular but one and all. the group dinner in the courtyard not to be missed. breakfast is well above average -- more choice and homegrown, homemade jams room very comfy-- two luggage racks and one quite decorative !!! huge bed, responsive to get extra pillows etc.shower wonderful. numerous cozy seating areas in lobby area not just big open space so groups could comfortablly gather in several places which were furnished not only tastefully, but warmly. ambiance is just great. walk easily to bus stops to go almost anywhere and tho i hate buses in general and never take, that is the one transportation plus in rome. and you see all the ancient sites every time you go on them.
there was nothing i didnt like. best value for the money in rome and i have been several times and researched in depth
Mrs Khan you should be very proud of yourself with what has been achieved with Hotel Lancelot. Lovely hotel with a true Italian ambience. Lots of greenery growing on the outside walls which makes a pleasant change from mortar. Great staff, and nothing too much trouble. Very informative. Wonderful idea to have guests mingling with each other over dinner. Quality of dinner is of a very high standard, and price extremely reasonable. Think it's more 4 star. Closeness to the Colosseum, Palentine Hill, Forum and Circus Maximus. From the terrace on the 6th floor you can see the Colosseum, and in the distance St Peters. Night viewing is best. If there was a negative it would be breakfast. It's adequate, but then if it were more substantial the price would go up.
Staff Location Rooms were basic but comfortable
Staff. Dinner at the hotel. Location. Just a great place to stay if in Rome.
Nothing to dislike
Great location near Coliseum. Quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff and owners. Good breakfast with plenty choice. Comfortable and clean room. Lounge areas and bar comfortable and well appointed. Free car parking (if you book - limited space)
Restaurant was closed for evening meals for much of August. BUT plenty of good places nearby.
A centrally located hotel, the staff were excellent, friendly and all spoke really good English. The room we stayed in was on the fourth floor and was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Lovely terrace on the sixth floor with views of the city. Lots of choice at breakfast and off road parking which for us was a must. After checkout we were allowed to leave the car whilst we wondered around the city. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to all the wonderful staff at the Hotel Lamcelot, you really are a credit.
The hotel is welcoming and remarkably quiet given its location close to the Colosseum. Staff will provide detailed help and information for visitors in excellent English. Rooms are immaculate and some have wonderful views. A home from home especially for single travellers.
Location, staff, a mini home away from home.
The room was a little small, I would have preferred something more comfortable to sit on in the room, but otherwise the room was lovely!
Excellent location, very helpful staff, very good breakfast
Can't think of anything g
Location was great. Room was excellent, with a view. Breakfasts were a feast. Michael on the front desk, was so informative and passionate about the city. Take his advice, he knows what he is talking about.
Everything. Location was good. Room was spacious enough. Cheap parking in Rome.
