Lanterna Fiorentina B&B

The rooms are light and well decorated. The shower rooms are quite small but well equipped with good showers and plenty of towels and modern sanitary ware. There is a hairdryer fixed to the wall in each bathroom. The Lanterna is well placed for walking to and from the main train station and the centre of Florence. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms and wall-mounted televisions. The proprietress was very friendly and helpful and willing to make restaurant bookings for us.

It was quite hard for us to find at first. It is a large wooden double doorway in between some shops with a plate on the wall which for some reason we kept walking past without noticing. I think this is because we were following address instructions which said it was number 11. However, the numbering in the street was extremely difficult to follow. We were on foot. Maybe a taxi would have taken us straight there! The other minus point is that La Lanterna isn't really a Bed and Breakfast Hotel; it's rooms for rental. The breakfast consists of vouchers that you exchange at the Cruise Bar/cafe across the road. However, it allows you one drink and a pastry only, more a snack than breakfast. Also, the staff at the Cruise Bar were not very friendly or generous about allowing us choices. There was a restriction on some of the pastries (croissants were allowed) and they said the only drink allowed was coffee. Our son doesn't drink coffee and asked for hot chocolate but we were told in an extremely unfriendly fashion that we couldn't have that as it was too expensive! It didn't seem to matter what sort of coffee it was. We didn't bother with the vouchers or Cruise Bar after a couple of tries and bought a cooked breakfast at a Trattoria in the Mercato Centrale. It can be very noisy outside the apartments due to traffic if you want the window open, but the double glazing and shutters cut out a lot of this if you don't mind the windows closed. There is one apartment here that is more expensive (a suite or family room as it has a double bed and a sofa bed) which windows to both the front and back. You could have the windows open at the back here which would be quieter.

We booked 2 rooms a triple and double ensuite, communication with the owners was very good and we were able to book in before lunch and explore the beautiful city, which is but a 5 minute stroll from the hotel. Rooms were not grandeur but were clean and comfortable and more than adequate with a fridge, kettle and most important really effiecient air con. Road noise was minimal and breakfast (cake and coffee) was through a voucher for the cafe opposite which was fine as a start to the day. The owner was very helpful and keen to help where requested.

Not a lot really, but be aware credit card payment is not possible so keep the cash handy for payment.

Good location, close to train station, and most of the main attractions. Friendly and helpful service from Gianna. Would stay there again. Quiet building, good wifi, near by mini-supermarkets

Didnt mark higher for cleanliness only because renovation on the facade of building was being completed, making the room a bit dusty at first.

Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft von Frau Gianna. Sauberkeit des Zimmers und Bades. Lage ist gut, Frühstück im "Cruise" vis-a-vis ebenfalls.

Das Zimmer war schon sehr klein!!! Die Lage an der verkehrsreichen Strasse ist, da die Fenster schalldicht sind, o.k. allerdings darf man nicht lüften, da sonst Benzin-und Dieselgeruch im Zimmer sind.

La cortesia e l'ospitalità della signora Gianna. Le avevo chiesto se era possibile avere una colazione senza glutine, poichè mia madre è celiaca. Il bar dove c è la convenzione con il b&b per la colazione, non aveva prodotti senza glutine, ma la signora ha comprato ben 2 pacchi di merendine senza glutine. Avevo anche chiesto la gentilezza di poter lasciare i bagagli dopo il check out, e ci ha permesso di lasciarli nella stanza dove avevano alloggiato mia madre e mia zia. La pulizia delle stanze, delle lenzuola e delle asciugamani è notevole.

La nota negativa era la connessione wi fi che non funzionava e tv dove non funzionavano i canali italiani.. ma a quanto pare era un guasto solo nella mia stanza.

A internet eh muito ruim. O sinal eh fraco. O café da manhã na verdade se resume em um ticket que vale um café e um croissant no bar da frente. O mais justo então seria considerar que não há café.

A pessoa que nos atendeu deveria saber dar mais informações sobre Florença. Como chegar no Lanterna Fiorentina B&B, como encontrar um local para deixar o carro e como sair para outra cidade. O café da manhã não era bom.

Il B&B si trova a una distanza breve sia dalla stazione che dal centro della città, la struttura è molto carina ed accogliente inoltre la stanza e il bagno erano ben puliti.

останавливались с подругой в этом уютном отельчике на неделю и снимали номер твин с собственной ванной комнатой. отель, а точнее это больше выглядит как апартаменты, очень уютный,находится в пешей доступности от всех достопримечательностей флоренции:7-10 минут пешком до дуомо, 15 минут до галерии уффици и санта кроче. до вокзала smn- 10-15 минут. хозяйка отеля, сеньора джуанна, очень дружелюбная и гостиприимная )))) в номере есть кондиционер,фен,тв. уборка производилась каждый день. завтрак напротив в кафе-баре, немного скромный:круассан и кофе/чай, но атмосфера в кафе очень приятная и цены минимальны, поэтому можно выбрать себе что-то еще.

флоренция имеет очень шумный центр, поэтому ночью лучше спать с закрытом окном. это,пожалуй, единственный минус. если планируете оставаться в жаркое время, то кондиционер, к счастью, есть.

Todo fue segun lo publicado, desde las caracteristicas de la habitacion y el servicio. La atencion de su encargada (Gianna) fue excelente siempre dispuesta a atender nuestras solicitudes, al igual que el bar donde servian el desayuno. Todos muy amables.El lugar super recomendable en relacion a precio y atencion, y muy tranquilo

Excelente lugar, ubicacion, altamente recomendable y lo mejor de todo economico.

La posizione. Si raggiungono a piedi la maggior parte delle cose da visitare.

Lo consiglio vivamente a chi decide di passare qualche giorno a Firenze; comodo, pulito e la Sig.ra Gianna è gentilissima.

La proprietaria è molto disponibile, la camera dotata di aria condizionata, wi fi e pulita. Nel palazzo c'è anche l'ascensore anche se il b&b è solo al primo piano. Il posto è comodo perchè vicino alla stazione di smn e a due passi dal centro. Noi ci siamo trovati molto bene.

Posizione ottimale per visitare la città, a soli 10 min a piedi dalla stazione di S. Maria Novella. La proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile. Colazione servita nel bar antistante il b&b.

La camera piccola ma confortevole. La doccia sprovvista di piatto non è il massimo del confort, sebbene pulito. Mancavano i prodotti da toilette.

Kleinschalig , rustige buurt , persoonlijk , Schoon lage prijs, goede locatie 10min van station ,5 min van centrum.

Kamers zijn erg gehorig , weinig TV zenders alleen wat Italiaanse en Franse , ontbijt is erg karig 1 kop koffie en 1 broodje ,moet worden genutigd aan de overkant van de straat .

Gostei bastante da dona do B&B. Muito atenciosa e cordial. A suíte que ficamos era bem ampla e confortável.

a única sugestão que tenho é sobre o WiFi. No quarto que ficamos no fundo do corredor, não pegava. Tínhamos que ir até a porta de saída para acessar a internet.

A proprietária é bem solicita, o quarto é bem limpo e aconchegante. Sua localização é muito boa, possui elevador, próximo à lanchonete e dos principais pontos de Firenze.

é difícil de encontrar um estacionamento próximo (a cidade possui várias "Zonas de Tráfico Limitado") e todos os estacionamento são muito caros (o hotel não possui convênio com nenhum deles).

La posizione comodissima, si trova a 10 minuti a piedi sia dalla stazione di Santa Maria Novella che dal centro storico; inoltre la cortesia e la disponibilità della signora che gestisce la struttura. Consigliatissimo

Ubicación muy buena,cerca de todo lo interesante y de los medios de transporte que ibamos a utilizar ( estación de tren santa maria de la novella)

El ruido del resto de clientes alojados allí, al entrar o al salir de las habitaciones, se escuchaba mucho el trasiego de clientes. Y es que la habitación con respecto a la calle estaba muy bien aislada, no se oye nada pero con respecto a la parte interna del alojamiento se escuchaba mucho.
