Location and the beauty of this building along with the excellent facilities. A special place for a special occasion. We hope to return one day.
All the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful and spoke different languages.Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast and evening meals on the terrace overlooking the garden and lake added to the relaxed feel of the holiday. The hotel was a beautiful building inside and out.
Finding the hotel using our SAT NAV was a problem as it took us to a lane at the back of the hotel where there is no access. Always go into the centre of Salo and then put the address in again. That works!
The location of the hotel, architecture and design of the hotel was very beautiful and a very good restaurant in the hotel. Nice gardens too and great view of the lake from our room. Very near salo which borders lake Garda, probably 5 mins to walk.
No information about the hotel, area, room service menu was provided on arrival. Usually when you stay in a hotel, there is an information pack as standard and considering this is a four star hotel I was surprised that this was lacking. Prices of food/drink for room service was quite high in the main, the worst of it being a pot of tea for two in the room, 8 euros! Also, to launder and iron one shirt was 8 euros! For a superior double room, I was disappointed to realise that two larger single beds had been pulled together. The bed was very comfortable though.

Nothing, just perfect
Met all expectations. Fabulous hotel and great staff. Breakfest on the patio is the pinnacle staying at the hotel.
The staff and Nicoletta could not have made my stay better. I was traveling with my small dog (check out the hotel on Facebook) and he was treated like a prince. Dined at the hotel in the magnificent dining room and had a truly memorable dinner. I would recommend Hotel Laurin over and over again.
The rooms, nice and spacious. most of the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was served on the terrasse and was excellent.
This was our first time visiting Lake Garda and even with a GPS we had some difficulties finding the hotel. We didn't realise that we had to come off the main road to access the town of Salo. but we shall know the next time.
Absolutely everything - beautiful villa, helpful staff, delicious food, attention to detail in every area, hospitality, view .........
Warning - don't try and find it from a distance via gps! Go to centre of town and then enter address.
Restaurant was really good at dinner Staff were excellent Rooms were good Within easy walking distance to Salo
Breakfast was average The hotel sits on the main coast road therefore it was really noisy if you were trying to relax around the pool area
friendly helpful staff. great breakfast close to the town Stunning building
could do with a shower holder as you have to hold the shower. would be nice to have a notice board informing you of local markets and where bank machines are etc.
position the atmosphere
Too provincial. A lot of work to be done in order to make this hotel 'amazing'. Rooms should be updated to 'international standard' which does not mean 'useless luxury', but small things that make your staying 'unforgettable'. What rooms offer besides maybe a nice view to the bay is very basic ...need to improve the details.
Great location & view Very friendly and helpful staff Beautiful hotel (public area)
Excellent service (professional, friendly staff) Excellent restaurant (recommned Pasta e basta menu :) ) Nice view from terase of restaurant to Lago Nice place Nice pool
The hotel have lots of character and style, although the small double rooms are exactly as described
Not a lot apart from the size of the small double room size
Staff very friendly and helpful; magnificent surroundings; beautiful garden.
Restaurant really good and it's a "Buon Ricordo"
The room was very nice, decor lovely, house is gorgeous inside. The pool was nice. Dinner was good. I was traveling with a child and they were very nice to us both and worked hard to find a good restaurant for us to eat the evening we wanted to go elsewhere.
They didn't have much kid-friendly food while accommodating with off-the-menu suggestions instead. The photos made me think we were on the edge of the lake, but in fact 5 mins walk. But a lovely walk and very quickly along lakeside. Breakfast was fine...there could have been a bit more choice.
The welcome we had was amazing, ravinder carried our luggage to our wonderful room that had a lake view. The breakfast had choices for everyone and the waiting staff were always there. The staff overall were always smiling and very helpful, Nicoletta the owner was sometimes milling about and chatting making sure that everything was ok. Little touches like a complimentary glass of Prosecco each day shows that you are valued and the service is first class. We attended a garden party in the hotel grounds that had live jazz musicians and amazing food. We will be back without a doubt.
Beautiful detail and architecture, convenient location, interesting history, and a fantastic staff.
Classic building with lots of style, Very friendly and helpful staff, Excellent food,
Still trying hard to think of a negative.
From the moment we arrived we were looked after and cosseted. The room was big and very beautifully furnished, the bathroom sumptuous and sparkling white .the staff were exellent and most attentive . We had an exellent holiday.
Apart from the triangle on the loo paper,I can't think of anything that we disliked...
Impeccable preservation of all rooms, furnishings. Lots of staff and all extremely helpful. Restaurant dining and balcony both beautiful settings and good reasonably priced food
Internet access tricky and variable
The stunning architecture, decor and attention to detail. Attentive, friendly staff. Excellent breakfasts on the terrace with Lake views and an easy walk to the picturesque water front and heart of Salo.
This is not a dislike, but just a comment, we stayed in a piccolo piccolo room- it is what it says, small. BUT clean, comfortable and the staffs daily attention to care & detail made it a very pleasant stay.
Lovely hotel and grounds, great big and varied breakfast, location for Salo is perfect and as just a short walk away, on site parking. Genuinely happy staff.
No iron available. Stayed there two years before as well and in the same piccolo, piccolo room which still has the same issue of the shower bring handheld . . . Brings out the designer in you!
the lovely woman at check in offered us an upgrade for a very reasonable price. We had a gorgeous veiw of the lake beyond the pool area. The breakfast was exceptional..the best scrambled eggs anywhere.
