Hotel Laurin    

The parking was overcrowded such that my car was damaged by another guest who didn't report it. Not the fault of the hotel but better management of the parking area would be of benefit. My hotel room was very small and I would not have liked to have stayed there for an extended period, so I didn't consider it value for money.

The service was impeccable. We were well attended to. The location is beautiful. The hotel strikes a very nice balance between old world romantic and comfortable plushness.

My wife and I have not been to lake Garda before and we booked Hotel Laurin when we saw it on the Webb. We had and great stay and would recommend it.

Beautiful old hotel.

The building and location itself was worth the visit - it's beautiful and there's a fantastic atmosphere - but our stay wouldn't have been the experience it was, hadn't the staff been as friendly, helpful and service-minded as they were. Hotel Laurin has our highest recommendation!

Waking up due to loud talk by noisy neibours returning from a drinking-marathon in the middle of the night. Luckily we couldn't hear them as soon as they went into their room, but while they were in the hall it was impossible to ignore.

We chose Hotel Laurin because of the reviews and the photos we saw , and we wanted an elegant, peaceful place to stay in Lake Garda. The beautiful interiors, fabulous architecture and the history make it worth the visit, as do the original paintings around the hotel. Fabulous dining and breakfast facilities.

The first room we were shown was tiny, 'piccolo' and the shower was only a hand shower in the bath. For the price of the rooms and standard of everything else, expected more. It was off season mid March and felt a little bit sterile and cold. I think it is slightly overpriced and appears to be suffering because of this, the hotel was very quiet and lacked a warm atmosphere, despite the very courteous and friendly staff.

Location is perfect and the hotel is a beautiful example of art deco. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed a fine dinner in the evening and breakfast next morning was served on the terrace with a view of the lake.

I was disappointed with my room. It was not the one I had booked through this website but one which was not in the style of the hotel, there was a lovely view and I was told it was an upgrade but I booked this hotel because I am a fan of Art Deco. Spoiled the experience for me.

Just back home from our 6 night stay at the Hotel Laurin, We had a lake view bedroom with a little balcony to admirer the spectacular scenery that surrounded us during our stay. Our only complaint which seems pretty poor was our petite bathroom had no bath in it!!. Despite this we had a great time & as this was our first time in Lake Garda we were glad we had such a lovely romantic hotel to enjoy our break in.

Ms. Rossi, (hostest and owner) was extremely welcoming and acomodating. She did everything to make us feel welcomed and at home. She arranged a lovely dinner for us at their superb restaurant. All the staff was incredibly friendly.

Excited about everything. One of the finest hotels, it is unique and that's it. Very friendly service, extraordinary interior and vintage makes it even better. Words can not describe, you need to see. I highly recommend Dolce Vita room, it spotless. Wonderful dinner and delicious breakfast. Lavender sachet, a gift on departure, redolent in my bag and makes miss the hotel Laurin.

What a beautiful old world hotel! The atmosphere was homely and warm. The view of the lake was breathtaking! The staff was exceptional. The food and breakfasts where great.

The best thing were the staff which were all so very welcoming and professional and especially the owner who couldn't have been more accomodating. Great terrace for dinner and breakfast with view over lake; lovely pool with waiter service; fantastic Art Nouveau building; walking distance to Salo and the waterside and restaurants. I would stay here again - no problem.

The staff were superb - they could not do enough for us and went our of their way to make us feel welcome. They spoke good English and were ready to make local calls to help at any stage.

Most of the rooms would benefit from being updated. It has a lovely sense of faded grandeur

the service was amazing, i had my wedding reception at the hotel 2 years ago and staying there again brough back such lovely memories! the welcome was fantastic and the staff were excellent. The owner is a fantastic hostess!

Cheek to cheek is very small but with the lake view that does not seem to matter!

The hotel has a great location in the Lake Garda area. Very close to a wonderful lakefront promenade and lovely shops.

It was difficult to access Internet in the hotel room.

Amazing! Breathtaking! We were greeted by the friendliest, most attentive staff ever and pampered during our entire stay. This is a hotel we will go back to over and over again! Love, love, love, love, loved every minute of our stay - and can not say enough good things about this property and the hospitality we enjoyed.

On the inside and out, it is a stunning and beautifully kept building. Every aspect of the presentation and maintenance is of a very high standard and look even better than in the photos. The location is easy to find and nicely located opposite the lake and a 5 minute stroll from the lake-front restaurants and shops. Parking is free. All the staff are outstanding. They welcomed our arrival with a drink and a short tour to the breakfast balcony and it's fantastic views of Lake Garda. They were polite, friendly and helpful on every occasion we needed them or passed by them. The facilities and services offered were varied and to a high standard. The breakfast offered was varied, of a very high quality and included in the room price. The evening meal offered was expensive but exquisite.

It felt very classy. I lost a gold earring, emailed them and they replied immediately having found it, and are posting on. Excellent service.

excellent in every way

The hotel building has tremendous charm and history, the staff were incredibly helpful, the service was excellent, there were little details that made a big difference like the welcome glass of Prosecco, the afternoon strawberries in the reception area. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice, healthy options including wholemeal breads, fresh fruit and a choice of eggs (in my experience, breakfasts in Italy are usually very poor, but certainly not here), and breakfast was served on the terrace with a spectacular view over the lake -- perfect! This is a lovely place to spend a relaxing time, with good food -- there's really nothing to worry about, everything is taken care of. I certainly hope to be back!

Parking a little caotic, difficult for eg. low sportscar. A little noisy from The road in front of the hotel. Only got good WiFi connection from The living rooms on The first floor.

First and foremost we wish to emphazise the staff's contribution to our well-being and positive experience. Together they create a feeling of luxury surpassing the hotel itself. It still is a beautiful hotel, and we enjoyed our stay once more. However...

Our last stay was three years ago, and we are left with a feeling that time almost imperceptibly works against the hotel. The rooms is now sorely in need for an upgrade, bathrooms are impeccably clean, but have an old look. The doors to the rooms are thin enough to hear a fly snore in the hallway. The restaurant is still good, but not outstanding, and it is arguable if it is worth the price. Old decadence may not be sufficient to compensate for the loss of decade-long regular customers, when new clients are to be enticed.
