Hotel Continental is set on a cliff, overlooking the Bay of Santa Margherita Ligure. Surrounded by landscaped grounds leading to the beach, it features a fitness and spa center.

Right on the seafront in Portofino, Domina Home Piccolo offers a private rocky beach with a bar. It is a historic villa that now features stylish designer interiors.
Score from 533 reviews Very good
Best Western Regina Elena features a rooftop pool and hot tub with views of the Ligurian Coast. It is in Santa Margherita and has lush gardens leading to a private beach.
Score from 404 reviews Very good
The train station is just a 5-minute walk away and the tourist harbor is directly in front of this basic, yet charming 3-star hotel, set in the center of Rapallo.

Rooms were very good with great balconies with Harbour views, shutters and Sun Shade. The staff were very helpful and polite. I will efinitely return tothis hotel as it is not far away from Portofino, and only 10-15 mins walk from the Train Station.
Breakfast was OK, but nothing special.
Perfect location in front of the marina with nice view over the yachts and boats. Sunrise is directly entering in your bed to wake you up – Incredible. Geographically Santa Margherita is on the west coast and you expect to see Sunsets, yet the hotel is situated in a bay and you surprisingly enjoy Sunrise. Clean comfortable and all rooms with sea view is the best you can want… and in addition Sparkling vine for breakfast. Easy embarkation for one day for Portofino, one in Cinque Terre and one in Genova. Restaurant next door is perfect for local traditional dining.
Wi Fi is not reliable
great location. friendly and attentive staff
average amenities, very poor wifi, rooms, and hotel in general was very dated.
The balcony offered a perfect view of the port of St Margherita and the thoughtful staff opened the blinds while we were out so we felt looked after when we returned from a great walk, cycle & ferry ride to Portofino. Good breakfast options including champagne.
The weather was a little cool for us to use the rooftop pool! Next time.
Great location and perfect sea view. Front-desk staff very helpful and professional. Spacious room.
Perhaps needs some updating in terms of decor. Wi-fi not that good.
The hotel has a great location in Santa Margherita and is only a short distance from Portofino which is much more expensive. There is a town in Santa Margherita which is probably the best in the area with lots of great shops and restaurants. The hotel is comfortable and very pleasant and not noisy at night, despite it's location..
Only that if you take a taxi from the rail station you then realize you could have walked it in 10 minutes and saved yourself 16 Euro on a 2 minute taxi ride.
Location was fantastic and the staff very welcoming and helpful. We had booked terrace rooms which were lovely - great to sit out with a view of the harbour. There was lots of choice at breakfast. We would definitely stay here again if we return to The Cinque Terre.
Mattresses were quite firm but ok but the pillows were very hard. Not a big problem but the wifi was quite slow.
Wi-Fi only in Recepcion
Great location, with private terrace overlooking the marina, close to lots of good restaurants and boat services and served by friendly and efficient staff.
Good location and good staff at reception
Average wifi, not good breakfast, no parking on site
Location Staff Facilities Wifi
Location was excellent 15 min walk from rail station (taxi is 15-20 euros) nice walk by port. Good convenient rail service from Milan. Staff were incredible helpful and friendly English spoken by most. Good fresh well presented breakfast. Bus to Porto Fino and regular train service to Cinque Terre all info available from front desk. Santa Margherita had much more available re restaurants etc., than the wonderful 5 villages so staying at Laurin you can have best both worlds - will return - highly recommended
Hotel Laurin exceeded my expectations - nothing negative will return next year.
it was warm but pool was empty
Great location with excellent views. The room was clean and bathroom was nice. The view was fantastic and the large balcony a bonus.
The staff were a little stand-offish when we first arrived and insisted on seeing our children's passports. We have travelled extensively in Italy and this was the first time we have had to provide our children's passports, which seems unnecessary. Wi-Fi only worked for one device.
Rented a boat across the street. Best day of our travels! Beautiful views. Great weather.
6 euro beach towel rental charge for 2. 40 euro refundable deposit. Did not use towels.
Perfect location, with a great view on the sea & village
Decoration is basic and impersonal for a 4* hotel;
Everything, location was excellent
Bed extremely hard
Great hotel, perfect setting, overlooking harbor. Terrace overlooking water
An excellent location just down the road from the busy portofino but Santa Marghereta is a destination on its own. The staff was very accommodating and gave excellent references for resturants in the area. The view from the rooms and pool deck are outstanding, "Fanbookingtastic" as the tag line of the commercial says.
Location very good
The staff was very accommodating! I highly recommend visiting the Sabot wine bar nearby - fantastic wines by the glass for 5 euro (hotel reception recommended it - well done)!
Do not accept 18 euro charge to park in hotel private garage located 400 meters away during off season. Many places near are available for less.
The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly and the rooms were immaculate. We had one with a balcony and view of the harbour. The entire resort is really beautiful. The resort is very uncommercialised and its great seeing the yachts come, the the fantastic Italian chic and the chatter outside in the restaurants. It is expensive to eat and buy things but we were expecting that. The bus is very good value and a great way to see the coastline - always buy the ticket first which are 1 euro 80. I can't wait to go back.
It would have been good to have a coffee machine in the room and perhaps some entertainment - even if someone playing a guitar once a week.
Good location, near all that you need for a weekend break. Staff most helpful, breakfast adequate, and good selection.
We had a large car and had to park some way off. Is £18 per night also, but if you take a care to Santa Margherita, that is the price you pay !
Location, private sun terrace overlooking the harbor, Staff breakfasts,
Wanted a sun lounger on our private sun terrace. There were many not being used around the swimming pool. We asked at reception and were told that reception would enquire of the management. At that time we already knew that the answer would be a big NO. Accordingly we took one anyway and it stayed on our terrace for the duration of our stay. Everyone happy.
