Staff, service. There is no heat and it was cold. Bathroom needs upgrading. They are charging for parking but the car was outside in the driveway. Too expensive for quality and facilities. No real gym. |

location, location, location.!!!! gorgeous views of positano and amalfi coast. Great large balconies with table chairs and lounges. i thought the rooms needed to be updated . the bed linens were worn, althought the towels were new, the light fixtures were old and cheap, althouth the terraces and balconies were large and spacious. I think the hotel is tired looking. Once five star , it needs a major facelift to bring it up to snuff and rival the other 5*s. Of course it was much less money. |

Free shuttle to main town. The "beach". As per the advertisement on the Le Agavi website, there was supposed to be a private beach for Le Agavi guests. The reason I chose this hotel was for the private beach instead of having to shuttle ourselves into the town to swim everyday. However, the "beach" was rocks, not just pepples and the water was dangerous too swim in. No one from the hotel ever swam or lounged on our "beach". Instead we all paid 10 Euros each to use the public beach everyday. A true disappointment. I would not consider this a 5 star hotel. The decor was from the 80's and the food was awful. I would not go back to this hotel. |

the hotel is situatated in an excellent location and the shuttle is very comfortable. the differt balconies with all kind of vies is wonderful.the hotel is pleasant and the stuff is wellcoming -1/ the room interior is disapointing and not as to be expected from a 5 stars hotel with such a price. (400 eur on sep. ) 2/the "privat beach" as is shown in the pictures on the internet is far away from the truth. 3/not even 1 english speaking chanal on t.v |

The views were spectacular and the staff were extremely pleasant throughout our stay. There wasn't a double bed, only two single beds joined together which was less than ideal. The lack of ironing facilities for the customer to use as opposed to paying extortionate costs for ironing by staff was less than satisfactory. |

The best part of the hotel is the private beach. It's a bit of an adventure to get down there... taking the outdoor 'funicular', down some steps, then another lift....but once you're there, it's the most beautiful and peaceful place to relax, swim and sunbathe. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning. It's only a small one but had everything we fancied - fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cereal, scrambled egg and bacon. Our private patio area was amazing. We had a table with two chairs on the upper level of the patio, and two sunbeds and an umbrella on the lower level. And the view was spectacular! The staff are so friendly, pleasant and helpful. If there was one problem I found with it, it's that the umbrella's on the beach aren't weighed down enough. Ours kept blowing over in the breeze. |

Set in beautiful gardens with its own private access to the beach. The view from the room was amazing and it was very tranquil. The rooms were very basic for a 5 star hotel. There was no safe in the room either. |

Amazing views from hotel room , Fabulous staff - all very helpful.Breakfast good choice and value.Ate dinner at the hotel restaurant- pricey but worth it. Sitting on the restaurant balcony, eating great food with positano lit up below.... fabulous experience .Very romantic.Would definitely return (its a special occasion trip). Decor a little old fashioned ,but kind of suits the place ! Would be better if you could walk into Positano but the shuttle service is so good this really isnt a problem. |

Amazing views but the hotel is very very dated and done with minimum amount of expense. Not good value for money -- it is 3 stars at the most |

The view was breathtaking. I have been in the travel business for over ten years, and this was by far the most disappointing "5 star" experience I have ever had. Though the views were outstanding, so was the price. The hotel is away from town...the hotel has a "shuttle" that leaves only once an hour. People had to wait and wait to get a shuttle into town for dinner, and then back from town to the hotel. The breakfast was fair, the coffee cold. The wine served (on the terrace, with a spectacular view...I will say that) was the worst we had the entire trip. The staff was courteous, but not completely helpful. The first room we were given (classic) was unacceptable. After minutes of complaining, we were given a junior suite. The room was nice, but not clean. It was just a very poor statement for a luxury hotel...and, it is a shame, because it is a beautiful hotel. |

The views from le agavi were unbeatable and staff were willing and friendly to help with all your needs Our room was extreamly disappointing for a 5 star hotel. the room smelled damp and its furnishings haphasard and very dated more like a 2 star hotel ugly furniture and curtains and throws not befitting its hotel status for a very expensive 4 days it was a let down, concidering we upgraded our hotel to "treat ourselves" |

The service was top notch, we were really made to feel that our comfort was a priority - and that applies to all staff that we encountered. There was a particularly helpful front desk manager on duty on the night shifts during our stay - he helped us with information about all our day trips plus he even helped us organise our onward journey to Rome - unfortunately we don't know his full name - we called him "Mr E". Thank you Mr E!!!! |

The location was spectacular and the facilities / service excellent. No gym but plenty of steps. Because the hotel spans the descent of a cliff older / infirm patrons should book the upper levels (1 or 2 ) to avoid a lot of steps , patricularly if the funicular should happen to stop running (as happens occasionally ). Hotel is located some distance from town centre making the shuttle service a must! Freely available SKY channels a bit miserly. |

beautiful ocean vistas, cleanliness of rooms and accommodating staff. Menue delicious Extremely rocky beaches that makes walking or entering the ocean precarious. Hotel did not offer any compensation because its beachfront amenities were destroyed one week before our arrival and unusable. Daily parking fee for our auto of 25.00 Euro |

The view was spectacular. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room has tile floor, dated furnishing and was not the least bit warm or inviting. The mattress was rock hard. I did not like the room. |

The ultimate in peace and relaxation, La Maliosa d’Arienzo is surrounded by olive and citrus groves, located a beautiful 10-minute walk along the Amalfi coast to Positano. |
