Stephanie. She was the perfect host. Bus stop immediately outside apartment. Spaciousness of apartment.
I would recomend Le Cicale to discover the Amalfi cost. Wonderful view from the balcony. Fully arrenged kitchen.
Be ready that the local people are crazy drivers. Problems with parking places.
Location,clean apartment,fantastic view,transport(bus stop front of the apartment),dear host,etc :)
crosstalk (who may be sensitive to it, unpleasant)
Well looked after by the owner great views bus stop right outside great way to keep fit if going down the steps to the bottom every day
Car parking was good, bus lines were good, Ms Stefanie was great. Thanks for the nice flat!
beautiful view, clean rooms, very nice & helpful owner-Stefania,peace and quiet area
-sita bus(last bus from Amalfi at 21.00,no bus schedules at the bus station & bus stops, poor communication with bus drivers-very hard to speak in english
Spacious beautiful apartment. Amazing view. Private parking available. Shuttle services to restaurant and beach. Terrace in every room.
Spotty Wi-Fi Needed an American coffee maker, but we made do with what we had.
Really nice apartment. Great location (but you need a car).
Parking is about 200m from the property; annoying, especially if you need to carry your luggage on a road without sideways. No Wi-Fi! Which is one of the basic conditions for me to book an accommodation. Wi-Fi kind of worked (with dial-up speed) in the first evening, but only on the terrace outside the apartment. Took me 5 min to check my e-mails. From the 4 or 5 nights I spent in the place, only in one day the wifi worked. Since I was expecting some important e-mails, I had to go to a nearby restaurant for the free wifi.
Fantastic views from the terrace. Stefania's personal touch and being available for whatever help we need to locate our missing suitcases from Naples airport. The welcome goodies is really thoughtful.
A bit isolated and the bus service to Amalfi is not very reliable if one is not driving their own car. Also, the bus to Positano is almost a hundred steps down.
We loved the view and the restaurant shuttle service. Stephanie was very helpful. We agreed with the review that you showed us.
I had the impression from a previous comment that you could sit on the balcony and watch the sunset and sun didn't appear on our balcony until well after noon. From our balacony the sun went behind the hill well before sunset. The sound carried from the neighboring room.
Le Cicale is a collection of apartments in Conca Dei Marini, a small town on the Amalfi Coast. Built into the hillside on one of the higher roads through the town, the apartments have views of the coastline and the sea. Overall the apartment we stayed in had a good feel and was a fun place to stay. It felt like a real holiday house, with a large bedroom, a proper bathroom, a patio on the ground floor, and a private balcony on the upper floor off the bedroom. The architecture is in the local style, with white walls, tiled floors and quirky features. Accommodation is basic and somewhat holiday-style, but many useful things were provided including clothes line and pegs, plates and cutlery, candles, hair-dryer, iron, etc. The owner was helpful with details and a folder full of info about the local area. Private off-street parking is available at no charge.
Arriving at the apartments can be stressful if the owner isn't around. We had sent an arrival time as requested, but were delayed by about 20 minutes. The name of the apartments doesn't quite match that given on booking.com, and only the house number reassured us we were really at the right place. Several gates entrances lead from the road and it's not clear which one to follow. Arriving by car, we needed a place to park and the road itself is narrow with blind corners, so not ideal. The apartment parking is off a separate driveway 50 meters away that isn't signposted in any way. We were eventually helped by another guest who came out to help us. Having parked, we set about trying to find the owner, and other guests again told us which apartment was hers. Knocking, we received no answer, so resorted to phoning. Communication on the phone was a bit stilted due to language differences but eventually we told her where we were and she soon appeared. A bit stressful after a taxing drive from Napoli, but we managed and overall I'd stay there again (especially now that I know where the parking is!).
A comfortable apartment with all that we needed for 7 nights. Great view. with parking near by.
Not close to the beach and the Wi-Fi worked only on occasion.
View to die for. Good location. Clean and Comfortable. Free Wi-Fi (a bit temperamental though :-) )
Nice vieuw over the hils and sea.
The lock of the steel frontdoor was from 1952. To open it with the classic key takes average 6 minutes.
The apartment was very roomy. It had 2 balconies with lovely views of the mountains and the water. Stephania was most helpful, and everything was ready for us including food items and wine for us to enjoy. All types of pots and pans were in stock. The bathroom had all sorts of toiletries as well.
Getting to the place is not easy. The roads are winding and directions are not easily available. Parking lot is a bit uneven and difficult to manage on such a busy road.
The apartment was a good base for exploring the Amalfi coast and yet was away from the busy crowds. The view from the balcony was breath taking. Stephanie was very helpful with lots of information available in the flat. There was enough parking space and a little shop just a few minutes walk away.
Older style apartment but the best equipped one that we stayed in 4 weeks of touring Italy. Very spacious with separate lounge, kitchen and bedroom areas. Spotless. Wonderful view from the terrace. The owner was very helpful and provided a welcome tray including bottle of wine, milk, ingredients for a pasta meal plus much more. Very thoughtful. A little shop close buy if you need to buy supplies. Not a large choice but enough to make a meal from. Local restaurants provide a shuttle service which is a wonderful idea considering how windy and narrow the roads are to get there.
A little isolated and a good half hour drive to any town along very narrow and winding roads.
Beautiful view over the sea. Very quiet. Very nice caretaker.
No sun on the terrace in the morning for breakfast. Poor Internet access.
Vey clean, spacious apartment. Amazing views. Great location; we did 3 walks directly from the apartment and took a bus to do 2 more. You could manage without a car once you are there. Small shop close by. Very friendly staff. Poor internet access but they were trying hard to sort it out whilst we were there. Great base and we would go back.
Poor insulation to apartment next door and above. A numbers of time we thought someone was in our apartment and was actually next door. Woke on last morning at 6.15 by someone cleaning upstairs.
Wonderful apartments with all you need for short or long stay. Perfect location just 4 km from Amalfi means no tourist hassles and peace and quiet but still nearby to the best places and facilities. Best if you have your own vehicle but public transport is doable too. Best view in the area
Poor interet access. Have spoken to owner and she is trying to improve it so it may be much better by the time you go there.
that the owner of the apartment was very helpful to us so it was easy to us to now some things in the area
Location balcony looked straight out to sea. Within easy reach of all Amalfi coast as to offer but peacful to return to in the evening.
very friendly host, one balcony (sleeping room) PLUS one terrace, amazing view, very clean
The magnificent views from the balcony.
No air conditioning in the hottest time of the summer is an inconvenient but we still managed good nights of sleep.
