Our stay at le Coccinelle was a very good experience. It is very neat , clean and spacious. The location is good also , close to all the best attractions. The thing that sets Coccinelle apart though are the people. They are very sincere , friendly , warm hearted people and it was only a pleasure meeting them.
We basically had an entire house at our disposal, with two large bedrooms, living room, bathroom, and terrace. The owner was extremely kind and helpful.
There is a house with 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, and a livingroom. And it was all to ourselves! We were 4; but one of the rooms has an extra small bed. So if you are 5, come here without hesitation!! It's very clean, the bedsheets are very nice, the bathroom works very well, very nice towels (and I accidently took one with me, because it looked like one of my mother's - completely white and fluffy; sorry about that. I can mail it back if you want!). The location is excellent. A 15 minute drive to LaSpezia railway station, in a very quiet little town. The staff... Signora Luiza presented us the accomodation and her husband served us breakfast. (yes, there-s breakfast, and even though it's mainly sweets, milk coffee and tea, we added some cheese and is was all we neded). This guy is someting else :) He doesn't speak English, but somehow we undersoot eachother. He's very nice, smiles a lot, very polite, and prepares the breakfast very well. He does a good job not only for good rating on Booking.com, but because that's the way he does tings: well! A lot of flowers and vegetation which you can enjoy while chilling on the porch.
The host doesn't speak English, and one time I found it a bit frustraing. The Wi-Fi only works on the porch. But that's hardly a bad thing because you cand surf the internet while enjoying the wonderful Ligurian air. They need a power outlet on that porch, though.
Really nice region and closed to the touristic attractions. Hosts very nice and helpful. Quiet place and space for parking
Familial atmosphere maintained by the owners. You have the feeling of beeing at home.
Excellent hosts - extremely friendly and helpful. Family run business. They'll do anything and everything in their power to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We felt genuinely welcome there. Something to note: it is advisable to speak at least some italian. English is of little use here...
The Wlan. It really only works on the edge of the outside porch. If I ever return I'll sponsor them a Wlan repeater ;)
We had a wonderful night at Le Coccinelle. We were very warmly welcomed by the owners, and we discovered a very nice and very clean room. We were touched by the generosity and friendliness of the owners. Breakfast on the terrasse was great. I recommend this place wholeheartedly. It is only 30 minutes away from the Cinqueterre villages, quiet, with a spacious double room, at an affordable price.
-The staff was simply incredible. Nice and helpful. -Breakfast is awesome!
-A little bit hard to find the village (once in the village, find Le Coccinelle has no difficulty)
