The bed frame was broken. The headboard came apart from the side rail. Sheets were a little scratchy. So many steps up to the rooms were taxing.
The views from Le Ghiande are breathtaking. It is up in the clouds at times, yet you have a full panoramic view of the sea and boats below at Positano, plus the picturesque homes set into the hillside. Make sure you book a room with a balcony to enjoy the full experience. The flowers and grapes, tomatoes and other plants growing make breakfast on the veranda a lovely experience. Breakfast each day was a buffet with everything one could want including meat, cheese, fresh fruit, warm croissants and home-made jams. Demetri, the server, is very accomodating, providing coffee and tea and directions and suggestions for where to go and what to see. The owner, Salvatore, is also very friendly and helpful with how to get the bus and where to have dinner. My husband and I love LeGhiande in spite of sore legs from the steps.
