Porlezza was a quiet and very relaxing place to stay.
Porlezza was a quiet and very relaxing place to stay. We enjoyed shopping at the local butchers and grocery stores as we cook a lot. The city is very easy to navigate and has a beautiful lakeside location. The locals were quite helpful and mostly friendly.

...a bit of a gem...friendly, peaceful, not over-priced and the scenery is awe inspiring. We left the opposite route against the wishes of google maps. This (left of lake) exit affords a good mountain route but the driver must concentrate on the road...nice route though....which also leads to the highways etc

A rather smallish town by a beautiful and clean/warm enough for swimming Lake Lugano. City center is small but nice, typical old Italian village atmosphere, not much to see in the town itself but very relaxing environment. A small amusement park, Luna Park, is open there June-July, nice for small kids and reasonably priced. Great supermarket (Carrefour), open from 6 AM-midnight every day is near the town centre. The large camping sites in the area are great for meeting other people for all over Europe, mostly families and older people. Lots of nearby towns and cities, reachable by car but beware of crazy mountain roads with hairpins and narrow village streets, that can be very slow to drive in places (but, of course very scenic and beautiful!).
Everything was fantastic:
1.- The hosts are very lovely people that they were worried about every detail which made us feel very comfortable in their place. 2.- The place has a wonderful view, we stayed 2 nights and every morning was wonderful to wake up with a nice view of Porlezza. If you go by car this place has a good location to see around lugano lake and Como lake. Everything was very cleaned, has everything to stay and come with family. 3.- We highly recommend this place!
We had only booked it for an overnight but this could be a good base in the region.
Comfortable large rooms, garden with pool, restaurant just below and few within walking distance, it was really very nice.
The room has a sideboard hiding a hidden kitchenette (we didn't use it) and a fridge (very useful in summer!)
The garden and pool were delightful.
Parking was well shaded by trees, keeping the car cool.
The location and setting of this hotel is amazing. We had a patio area looking towards the beautiful hill. It was quiet and privat. There was a garden area for all guests with a small swimming pool looking out towards the lake and an outdoor shower and sun bathing area. Very beautiful. I recommend checking with the property directly about the quality of beds.
I paid for the hotel and when I have arrived it took an hour to explain to the staff. at the beginning they rejected because couldn’t find my name on their book list. then they told me I should pay extra amount because Booking.com was wrong price. when I went to sleep with the 3 kids sleeping in the car and waiting for me it was 00:40 midnight.
Breakfast was great. It was such an amazing place and the staff was very kind, helpful. I loved Aria, I would stay there again.
One of the best hotels I've stayed at. I have stayed and some very nice ones but this resort is amazing, from families to adults only, it is the best. There are separate areas for families verses adults only.
Quiet neighbourhood, really close to the lake waterline. House was big enough and very well equipped. There were also bbq set and sunbeds. Also really good restaurant nearby with really friendly people and prices. Nearest market is 1,5 km away. Parkplace is directly near the house. Wouldn't change anything.
The location is phenomenal! Tucked into a canyon next to a river, however, close enough to walk to restaurants in the Village. The hotel is adorned with lots of beautiful art, and the hotel rooms are renovated nicely. We had a view of the river and canyon which was very nice. There is a small park for kids.
Amazing hotel directly by Lungo Lago, the facility was amazing. The staff really helpful and they accomodated us in the largest room with a great bathroom as I was travelling with a person on a wheel chair. I can only recommend Hotel Europa to anyone who wants to enjoy beautiful northern part of Italy.
The chalet is decent size with parking space big enough to accommodate a big car.
The chalet is well equipped. Everything we needed was present.
Chalet is a few meters from the lake so its convenient to carry gear to the lake.
Lake is clean and accessible.
Shops inside the village are decent.
Lovely river outside our room which was nice to listen to all night. The hotel is filled with the owners art work which is fantastic.
Nice location within walking distance to restaurants.
The elevator didn’t work and there were quite a few steps involved. The owner helped with bags.
The location of the hotel is really nice. Most of the villas has a great view of Lake Lugano. More than enough private parking spaces. There are a lot of very good restaurants nearby (within 10 mins walk). Couple of suggestions are Il Pinguino (dal 1978) and Trattoria della Vigna.
We loved pretty much everything about this hotel. The location was perfect, with a private, not crowded beach in Lugano Lake, two swimming pools that were perfectly clean and well-prepared for the guests, and great service and food. I think it was also great value for money
Helpful, polite staff; great location; simple, but very satisfactory rooms & in-room amenities; free parking right outside the room. Two minute walk to a great beach with a great view.
Hosts kindly assisted with baggage. Nice spacious apartment with 2 balconies - a short walk from lake and on the bus route to Lake Como. Town very laaid-back.
Hotel is excelently organized. All staff is very friendly, willing to fulfil all wishes.
Infrastructure is very good, only near town Porlezza is a bit sleepy
beautiful view and patio, easy parking, the house was so nicely done with all great furniture, furnishings and comfortable shower, bed, sofa and kitchen!
