They will have many reasons to ask for more money from you! They have breakfast, but no quality. You can not fill your stomach.
wifi, breakfast, staff, near the fish market.
the shower did not function well.
we arrived at midnight and had to pay 20 euros for late check in. there were no word about it in conditions.
Perfect stay! In the middle of everything, close to rialto bridge, the owner came out to meet us and he was really good and sweet and gave a lot of tips we never been to a B&B that gives that much privacy. guest even have a own entree. we highly recommend it. rooms are clean, bed is perfect. and location perfect and the price is absolutely perfect.
walls, doors and windows are thin, so sound pollution can be quite loud. as in every other place in Venice. and the cleaning lady should be sent to charm school. enjoy.
Good location, easy to walk to all areas of the city, close to the market, comfortable room
The website was misleading since it says there is a kitchen but actually there were no cooking facilities and a 50euro fine for cooking on the premises. A toaster, microwave, kettle and a coffee maker were provided.
great staff! very nice and clean! great location near the realto bridge. great wifi, the breakfast is self service but you wake up to a set breakfast table and just help your self, very nice breakfast!
Location is about 30min walk from the train station; taking the vaporetto and alighting at rialto mercato station might be nearer Overall its a good location to the landmarks in venice
Wifi wasn't able to connect in our room and had to go to the lobby area to get it
The location is superb and it is a fact. When you take vaporetto #1 and go to the needed stop at first it is difficult to realize that you are at the center of Venice. The hotel is also difficult to find - you go to the right from the boat stop an across the small bridge. Then turn to the left and here you are. There are a lot of good restaurants around the hotel, you will never be hungry in Italy. Thanks the owners of the hotel, apart from small imperfections it was a good place to stay at! Would recommend to those who are not very picky and what the best money/quality/location combination.
It was cold and wet in the room, but this is due to the season I guess... There was a heater on the wall, but we didn't figure out how it worked. There is no gel for the shower or shampoo. We have stayed at other B&B hotels and had it everywhere, so would be nice to improve this.
Service No heater
silent and piece area
We couldn't sleep well because of the buzzing of mosquitoes in the rooms. We ended up killing them one by one. /the bath room was not clean /the room looks totally different from the pictures on web site /far away from Rialt because we had to go over the bridge with heavy baggage.
Cosy apartment. silent neighborhood.
They didn't check-out the place with us, and it is not honestly right! It probably causes some problems, so it is essential to check-out with the passengers!! Some problems occur, he blamed us, but we didn't know anyyyything about it! They told like we are lying!! hardly worked Wifi No breakfast!!
the host was very kind and location was perfect to see all Venezia by walking.
Good view of main canal Spacious room ( TV bed coffee table couch two windows looking over the canal) Shared bathroom (big) was not a problem Full kitchen Extremely close to Rialto Bridge When we arrived the owner showed us around a few blocks, where to get pizza, dinner and coffee.
It may be easy to miss the reception door just because the name plaque is small but the address number is big enough. We did not go to the breakfast so I am not sure how that is. I think the owner has multiple properties so rooms may vary.
We liked the communal breakfast table as you were talking to people unavoidably and they to you.
The wardrobe door didn't shut properly and was noisy as it had to be slid, or if it did shut the door next to it didn't. The room was OK if you were an overnighter but a bit spare if not. There was no where to sit in it though there was a lounge near. It was all rather 'ordinary'.
The Location is Awesome (Near the Market and Rialto's Bridge) Staff Room was really nice TV with tons of channels Don't be scared by the outsider looks of the building ;)
The Check-Out time is too early The Breakfast is too artificial
The pictures on the website. But its not what I got
It was nothing like the picture more like a run down hostel I got put in a seperate building to the actual bnb. No wifi or fan or toilet paper. Room was filthy bathroom wad dirty. No staff around so I could book out on the first night to move to another hotel. No staff around to complain to or to pay at the end of my stay. Overpriced and disgusting. Worst BnB I have ever stayed at and I have been to 12 different countries. They should be taken off Booking.com they give the site a bad name!
The owner is helpful and generous with information, which came in handy as we didn't speak Italian and really needed directions all the time! Location was excellent - 5 minutes walk to Rialto and 15 minutes walk to San Marco square. We were booked into a double room with shared bathroom but got upgraded to a double room with ensuite! We loved the romantic character of the rooms and how the windows opened up to a Venetian alleyway full of life. We were moved to a canal-view apartment the next day which was equally romantic but felt pretty empty since it was just two of us in a decent sized 2-double bedroom apartment!
It was difficult to get hold of the owner during check out time which resulted in us being late for the day.
Poor breakfast Poor cleanliness (towels were not changed everyday )
Near Rialto Mercator wharf. Walk 5 minutes to Rialto Bridge and 15 minutes to St Marks. Close to bars and restaurants. Kitchen available with fridge and microwave. Piero was a wonderful host.
Location, clean, lines, shower and washing machine all good.
Nothing. Wish we had stayed longer.
The Repubbliche Marinare is in a great location, close to everything but not in the middle of the tourist scrum around San Marco. Piero (the host) was very friendly and generally a great guy. Facilities were more than adequate considering the price, and everything was clean and well thought out. Also an excellent price for Venice (we were travelling in the high season).
Good value for money, great location.
The wi-fi hardly worked.
Staff was unfriendy, hostile, and rude.We felt uncomfortable the whole time. We were made to switch rooms after the first night which we had not agreed to. The room we were originally supposed to have with a terrace was under construction when we arrived. I was billed a few days after I left, already having paid before arriving. This bed and breakfast should be taken of booking.com.
Amazing views which is why you come to Venice. Lots of room and close to transportation.
The floors were filthy and nothing a good mopping would not help. Owner is sign obsessed. Everywhere in the apartment were signs with rules and fines listed - not very hospitable.
Do not book this "b and b".. The pictures on the internet give a completely different picture to reality! We booked the double room with shared bathroom. For over 12 hours there was no toilet paper, there was old wet hair on the bathroom floor the whole time and the shower had only two working holes out of the nozzle. I felt cleaner not showering for the two days. Breakfast was dry and hard crossaints and funky tasting milk. The main factor that ruined our stay was that the place is infested with mosquitoes. There was no mention of this from the manager, who mind you, is never around - I don't blame him as he would probably be getting a mouthful more often. My partner and I got eaten alive by the mosquitoes overnight. Another example of the poor service was when we arrived, I rang the doorbell and he told us to wait two minutes. He then took fifteen minutes to come greet us with barely an apology. We asked for a map of Venice and he said he did not have one. I could go on but I think you get the picture. I did not pay a cheap price for this room and hence expected a lot better. I hope the manager can read this and improve the accomodation. I am confused as to how others have reviewed positively.
