Hotel Le Rondini  

Hotel Le Rondini is a small Hotel located perfectly for Turin airport. The member of staff on reception spoke excellent English, was very polite and extremely helpful. The rooms were large, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The room had a large ensuite with a good shower. The beds were also very comfortable. There was secure underground car parking at the Hotel which was an added bonus. Breakfast was continental style with a very good slection of things to eat. Overall this was a lovely Hotel which clearly has very high standards despite only being 3* and it undoutedly offers excellent value for money.

Although this hotel is difficult to pick fault with, the only slight criticism I would have is that in our room the air conditioning was quite loud and not that effective, despite adjusting the settings. As a result the room was a little warmer than we would have liked. That being said it did'nt stop us getting a good nights sleep.

The staff was amazing. They helped with a number of complications that arose from being separated from friends in another part of the city. I left a phone in the back of a taxi and they even helped me get in touch with the driver to return it. They stayed up late to check me in after hours- over 2 hours late!

Good value; convenience to Turin Caselle airport; free parking. Denny and Andre at the front desk were very helpful. Also the Londrini restaurant nearby had great food.

Location is a bit difficult to find, but signs were posted at roundabouts. You need to have a car to get there or drive into Torino.

We stayed at Hotel Rondini mainly because of its proximity to Turin airport as my sister was returning to Australia from a 3 week stay with us in Italy. Andrea, master of all trades (front desk, table setter, table clearer, gardener) , met us with a friendly greeting, gave all the required information for our one night stay. The undercover parking was great as there was a lift to bring our luggage to the first floor where we had our two rooms. The rooms (my sister's, my husband's and mine) ... the whole hotel was beautifully renovated. There was a mini-bar in our room, lovely views of the Alps from our balcony, and we enjoyed a substantial continental breakfast. It's only a five minute walk to the local restaurant which supplied us with a fantastic dinner.I definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.

Very kind personnel. Always eager to help and listen. They could not be better. Very appropriate if you want to rest a little bit before taking an early flight in the next day. The hotel atmosphere is very pleasant and very easy to reach the airport. There is a nice and typically Italian restaurant just some meters away from the hotel. Free wi-fi available in the rooms. Good breakfast.

The air conditioning system in the room was a bit noisy. It can disturb the ones who have difficulties to get to sleep.

I had the front desk clerk book me a taxi for 5am to get to the airport. The airport is roughly 5 miles from the hotel. The clerk mentioned it would be around 20 to 22 euro for the trip. However, he said it could be 50 euro. I asked that he book a private car for 30 euro. He recommended the cab since the airport was so close. Well, I was charged 45 euro ($67 US) to go the 5 miles. The taxi driver charged me for the time it took him to drive from downtown. Couple this with the hotel being out in the middle of nowhere with nothing good to eat, I wouldn't recommend for foreign travelers. I think this in primarily a hotel for Italian's on holiday looking for a hotel with cheaper rates.
