Room is a bit on the small side (although you don't spend much time in your room).
Giancarmine and Maria are lovely and most helpful hosts, patient and knowledgeable of the area. The rooms are very neat and clean, and the hotel great view towards the sea and sunset with the rest of the coast line in the background. Location is nice, only 110 steps from the main road and pretty close to the small beach (Spiaggia Gavitella) at the end of Praiano.

Great place, with very nice people.

Fabulous location with stunning views of the coastline, clean and comfortable room, and charming and helpful hosts. We really enjoyed our time here, thank you!

Lots of steps down from square but that's part of the general terrain in the area, not a criticism of the hotel itself. But it could be an issue for someone with mobility problems
Warm welcome from owner managers who gave lots of helpful advice re our walking plans and bus timetables. Amazing views from room and terrace. Good breakfasts. Friendly bar service and good value drinks. Mix of nationalities amongst guests. Would highly recommend.

Big room and bath with balcon to the sea, cleaning every day, near bus station.

We liked everything, but if you have mobility issues the steps down from the coast road would be a problem, as anywhere on the Amalfi Coast.
The view from our balcony was nothing short of stunning, across the sea and down to Positano and Capri. The breakfast area has the same view. Peace reigns supreme so if you are noisy or enjoy noise then please don't go there. Gian-Carmine and Maria are such attentive hosts that you feel like the only guests.

We were welcomed late in the evening by Maria who took us directly to the terrace overlooking the moonlit sea and Positano's twinkling lights across the bay. Just beautiful. A glass of chilled wine and pot of tea made us forget the long journey. The bedroom was pristine and cool, no matter that the windows did not face the sea - the terrace was always available and accommodating. Breakfast was super generous and tasty - fresh fruit, cakes, croissants and other pastries warm from the oven. Coffee and tea made to taste by Giancarmine - perfect host. The owners recommended places for lunch or dinner in the town.

The bed was hard and not very comfortable. Reaching the hotel means navigating down some 150-200 steps - not easy with a lot of luggage!
The hotel offers spectacular views looking towards Positano. It's in a quiet area (except for the church bells!), located a few minutes from many restaurants, One Fire beach club, and the main bus stop for reaching the other towns of the Amalfi Coast. The breakfast had a good variety of foods to choose from. Pay a bit extra to get a room with a sea view - it's definitely worth it.

That we had to leave!
The rooms were so clean and airy, and the views amazing. Great shutters and no noise meant our kids (10, 7, 5) slept in - bonus! (Room 6 has good WiFi connection too.) The steps down to the hotel were fine - we had packed all we needed for our two night stay in a small suitcase and a backpack. The piazza at the church on the way down is a lovely place for the kids to run around in the evening. Steps down to the rocky beach below were a bit more daunting, but worth it, and the kids were even keen to pop down for a quick dip on the morning we were leaving. (There is a restaurant and bar by the beach, so you can stay down there for the day.) We enjoyed the table tennis, terrace bar, the breakfasts and the lovely hosts! On our last night we had a fabulous meal at La Strada (8 min walk away from the hotel). Overall, a wonderful way to spend our last two days in Italy!

The owners were just lovely and helpful. After staying in Rome for three day, this was exactly what we needed. Amazing views in rooms and for breakfast. Beach isn't too far, nice bar and restaurants are close by too. We'll be back for sure

The only complaint was one of the beds was a bit hard and creaky so we woke up several times during the night. But not really a big deal or a negative to truly worry about.
Loved the peacefulness of the hotel and surrounding area and the gorgeous view from our room. We. Couldn't leave so pick up pizza from. Down the street three nights in a row so we could enjoy a private dinner with a view. Maria and her husband were so lovely, helpful and hospitable. We felt like such honored guests.

It was a bit challenging to cope with 375 stairs to get to and back from the beach. But it's rather location peculiarity than hotel's disadvantage.
We stayed in this hotel for 4 days. The view from our room was excellent, breakfast choice was sufficient. Special 'thank you' to the hotel owners - Maria and her husband who were always helpful and made everything that their guests could feel like home during the stay.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this location. We were so happy we choose Praiano over staying in the crazy crowded, over expensive Positano. Especially for the sunset views from Praiano, which you don't get from Positanio! La Sirene has the best unobstructed mountain sunset view on the Almalfi coast. Although I have high standards when it comes to beautiful views, I will dream of that visa at La Sirene for years to come. I can't say enough nice things about the owners and staff. We loved them, and they just added to the beautiful hotel and experience we had there. The beach is just down the walk way. Up the stairs is Path of the Gods, and Praiano marina is perfect spot for swimming, kayaking, sunbathing, and lunch. Just up the stairs from La Sirene is the main street with great! restaurants and local shops. Skip the tourist traps of Amalifi Town, and Positanio and stay in perfect Praiano. you'll thank me.

Hotel is in perfect location for Praiano but Praiano might not be the perfect place if you want more choices for restaurants etc. It is a small town - but Positano (15 mins by bus) and Amalfi (30 mins by bus) are very close and reachable from Praiano.
Incredibly amazing view from the rooms and especially the terrace! Have your breakfast in the morning, drink beer during sunset at the terrace and you will very much enjoy it for sure! If you have the chance, get a room with sea view (we stayed at room with partial sea view and it was still breathtaking). If not, spend more time at the terrace :) Staff is also very very kind and friendly! We felt like we are their guests at their own house. We were afraid that it was not close to SITA bus station as we were not traveling by car but it actually takes 4-5 minutes walk (down the stairs near the church). Definitely a place where you want to re-visit.

Be aware that it is particularly difficult to park in the area
Excellent and helpful staff, very calm place with a wonderful sea/positano view. Clean & simple room. The overall spirit of the place is very good

Giancarmen and his wife and Lucca were very helpful and sweet. Made us feel like family.

Only tiny problem is for Wifi you must go to the public spaces.
Maria and Gian Carmine are most welcoming and concerned hosts. They are quiet people and this is a quiet (sirene) hotel. The view is one of the world's greatest. You can pay 2000/night at S. Pietro or for 5% of that the same view. Like everywhere in Praiano stairs are involved- it's built on the side of a cliff. Prices, even on the stunning terrace bar, are reasonable. For cognoscenti.

Bed was a little too hard but bearable!
This is a fantastic hotel, with beautiful views of positano. The staff are exceptionally helpful, the breakfasts were lovely. Bathroom was spotless and a good size, good water pressure.

The location is perfect, the seaview is fantastic - healing - the staff is so nice and the breakfast very delicious.

Nothing. The hotel was perfect - as long as you don't expect to be near the beach. It was a hike to go down to the small rocky beach below the hotel.
Simple, elegant, comfortable, quiet, convenient. The owners live on site and operate the hotel as if it was their own house and you are their guest. If you want to get away from the touristy places and enjoy the genuine Amalfi Coast, this place is perfect. We rented a scooter just up the stairs from the hotel and were able to visit Positano and Amalfi any time we wanted, but it was great to come back to quiet Praiano in the evening. The restaurant near the scooter rental place also serves amazing food and has a great Patio overlooking the church courtyard. You just need to get over the fact that you'll be sitting in cheap plastic chairs.
