Featuring an outdoor pool surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, Le Querciole B&B is set in a 17th-century country house. It is located in Barberino Val D'Elsa, in the Chianti region of Tuscany.
Score from 52 reviews Wonderful
Villa San Giorgio is set in a recently refurbished, typically Tuscan country cottage of the early 20th century, located in the heart of the Chianti area, overlooking the Elsa valley.

In the Tuscan hills, surrounded by the Chianti countryside, Villa La Palagina offers rustic-style rooms and apartments in Figline Valdarno.
Score from 233 reviews Excellent
In the Chianti hills, this stone guesthouse features an outdoor pool and is in the rural hamlet of Salvadonica.
Score from 555 reviews Wonderful
Owner run private property set in the bottom of a valley close to horse riding, great Chianti wine producer and hilltop towns. Short drive from Florence or Sienna. Absolute quiet, large, comfortable impeccably clean room and the most gracious and accommodating host. Hearty breakfast included. Outdoor covered space to enjoy lunch or dinner.
Disappointed the location was on the valley floor and not perched up on the hill with the Tuscan hills view. Also located at the end of a long and very bumpy dirt road. Poor signage and difficult to navigate properly even with GPS. Limited dining options nearby. Pool closed for the season mid October.
The quietness of the surrounding area, the beds were very comfortable, good pool and breakfast menu (would welcome more home made food).
Treacherous road to reach the place (4x4 needed) especially from the country house to Barberino. More emphasis on children friendly facilities (e.g. A step in the bathroom and cushions/booster seat for toddlers who no longer fit into a high chair)
Remote countryside, very quiet and relaxing
The children's play area, tennis and volleyball court all unaccessable , long grass that needs cut.... (this was explained to be due to adverse weather conditions so just shows you cannot trust internet) i had false expectations that it was all organic food but while the dinners may have been, the breakfast lacked organic wholesome food.. Also there was wifi where it was advertised as not having wifi which is the main reason why i chose this resort to have a relaxing time with my children....
Total silent Very nice nature Nice buildings Delicious dinners
* central located in Toscany * price <=> quality * friendly service * familiar atmosphere * dinner typical for Toscany, grandmother's way * owner talks italian, french and english * in the middle of nature
* difficult road (2,6 km) to get to the resort (9 min driving from the center of Barberino Val d'Elsa) * dinner price (35 euro pp excl drinks) *¨breakfast or dinner outside was not possible
Actually, not anything that I van think of.
First, we arrived at the resort after coming down a crooked 2 km mountain road. Having a good car is absolutely necessary here! The owner was very distrustful, obsessive and controlling, which made us feel invaded in our privacy. The room had no airco, no tv, no fridge, and was very humid. Even up to the point that the bed was damp! Bugs everywhere that were not removed by the cleaning. Wifi coverage was very poor and unstable. Mr. Paolo charged way too much for the beverages: 2,50 for a bottle of water (0,30 in supermarket) and 20 euro for a bottle of wine which costs 5 to 6 euro at the farm where it came from! Dinner was good, but expensive ( 35 euro pp) when related to other better restaurants in the area. It was not possible to dine outside of the restaurant. We had a clogged toilet, the breakfast was ok but no differentation at all in the sandwiches. In short, this was a disaster stay, never again!
Far from street, in the middle of pure nature.I saw thousand of firefly every night!
In the middle of nowhere surrounded by vineyards and Tuscan countryside
Paulo is a caring host Degustation dinner very tasty Pool was nice in the summer heat Surrounding scenery amazing Very peaceful, natural surrounds for great relaxation
MUST have own car- located off the beaten track out of town so public transport not nearby (around 3 kilometre walk to bus) & taxi expensive- would have been great to know this before we stayed there.
