Dating back to the 11th century, Leon Bianco is in Piazza della Cisterna, one of San Gimignano’s main squares. During the summer, breakfast is served on the quiet, relaxing terrace.

Score from 135 reviews Wonderful
We loved the rustic charm of the rooms and the friendly welcome we received from our charming host, Gabrielle. The rooms were at the top of a building along a quiet street and were well located in San Gimignano for restaurants, historic buildings and shops. We had a lovely breakfast at a shared table with other guests. These rooms were recommended to us for their charm and we are happy to recommend them to other people.
Great stay for three nights in August. Small guest house with large rooms. No ac so slept with window open but no noise.
The place is great. Quiet, conf, beautiful, with a lot of romantic details. Look like a hotel with a lot of stars... Gabrielle and his wife worked really hard to give us a top experience. The breakfast is great. Thanks for all!!!
Very nice host with warm and gentle reception. Beautifully decorate rooms and romantic setting with nice details (flowers, bottle of wine, hand painted welcome card). Only 4 rooms give family feeling. Good breakfast, coffee prepared by the host on your demand.
Parking is 5-7 minutes away (can't park in the city), so don't come with heavy luggage that you can't carry/roll to the hotel from the Parking P3/P4. However here as well the host will help you and carry it up to the rooms.
We arrived the town late at 9:00pm and lost in the town, the host waited us an hour and came to take us to the B&B. Very kindly service. Room is comfortable, clean and quiet. Highly recommend this B&B.
1) A fantastically well decorated, and eclectic accommodation. So much effort had been made to make the room one of the most impressive we have ever stayed in. You felt like you were in your own home but also in a designer apartment. Even the minor details were impressive. 2) The staff were amazing. Konrad was extremely helpful and easy to approach for advice or issues. He even gave us free breakfast as part of our stay. He advised us on the best restaurants including Cum Quibos and Peruca which were fantastic. 3) Each moring breakfast was served in our room. The staff came in to lay the table, put on some relaxing jazz music and feed us with fresh pastries, bread and cappuccinos 4) Location was fantastic, everything on our doorstep This was a fantastic experience and we would highly recommend this to anyone staying in San Gimignano. Very sad to leave.
The host was very friendly and the breakfast was lovely. The house was nice and clean
Would have been nice beforehand to know where to park because we were driving around a lot and ask for directions and had to do a lot of unnessary walking
Great location in city center of San Gimignano, good bed, very friendly and humorous owner, very good breakfast, great room! Castle-like design complete with armour.
DON'T stay here because of the accommodation, DO stay here because of the host! Nope - that doesn't read very well. DON'T stay here because of the host, DO stay here because of the accommodation. Oops - that doesn't read very well either. Easy ... DO STAY HERE! And San Gimignano is so much more interesting (particularly after the sun goes down and the tourists depart); we should have stayed for longer. We'll be back - and we'll be staying at Le Undici Lune, and meeting Gabriele again, hopefully very soon! One of our most memorable stays in Italy!
Should've stayed for longer :)
We had a generous sized room however with a small bathroom with shower but enough for our one night stay. We were offered recommendations on places to eat and drink which were excellent. Nice breakfast
No air conditioning and no fan was provided to compensate. More expensive than other surrounding b&b's which provided air conditioning.
Very spacious room with great location to everything within the town. Gabrielle went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable! Would definitely recommend the Bed & Breakfast!!
Location very central. Owner very nice and accomadating.
Car parking available outside walls of city should of researched more in advance. No air con which proved uncomfortable in July heat.
The room had a good attention to detail , was very spacious and the staff very considerate and helpful in every way
It was a unexpected heat wave, so without air conditioning it became uncomfortable in the heat as the room was on the top floor.
Great location, in the centre of San Gimignano. Gabriele is friendly and gave us good recommendation on restaurants. Room is clean, cozy and with a good view. great breakfast.
Great, great proprietor. The rooms are outstanding- well furnished, stylish. Excellent location in San Gimignano. Very comfortable beds. Outstanding wifi. Excellent stay all around.
Nothing, it was all good. The hotel is on the 3rd floor, with no elevator. For us, this was not a problem at all, but potentially could be for others
location- right in the middle of town, our host/ hostess - genuine , friendly and caring. ( text before hand to advise of which car park to use) view from room - amazing. Breakfast was lovely,- everything you could want. the whole house was spotless.
The room was very nice and clean. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was very helpful and give us useful information of were to go and eat.
The room was excellent, owner very friendly made us feel like home!! Highly reccomend
Fantastic host, beautiful place
Nothing, can't wait to go back
Gabriele and Sofia, the owners, were tremendous - from the moment we arrived to our departure. Really lovely rooms - great attention to detail and character. Well situated and Gabriele's local knowledge meant he could and did, recommend some great places to visit and restaurants to eat in. A real joy!
Great location in the middle of San Gimignano. The hosts had great restaurant recommendations and breakfast was a yummy Italian style. The room we stayed in had a fab view of the big tower. It was a good sized room and though the bathroom was a bit small it was fine for us.
There is no parking in the town unless you're a resident so you pay to park in the public car park. But this is the same for most of the towns around this area.
Perfect location, conditions and hosts. Highly recommended
the owner was very nice
The shower is very tiny and definitely not worth the score that this place got (not worth the price) All of the nice picture that you see in the description are tricky as nothing prepare you to the size of the shower
Old History Building Friendly care taker
Totally unfit for a hotel accommodation standards in the USA, even at 2 stars level
The owner who welcomed us is a very nice guy
