Central location; best for evening walks after the crowds have gone. Excellent pool table !
It is a charming hotel located in the centre of the town square. The cakes at breakfast, which I was told, baked by the staff were marvellous!
I wished there were a kettle and tea cups in the room. I wanted some tea in the late evening and weren't any.
The location and view from the room
Breakfast could be better.
Really lovely and helpful staff. Parking is really complicated, but that is not the hotel's fault.
I traveled with a friend and we stayed at Leon Bianco because of location and price. We were not disappointed and would go back again.
In the heart of San Gimignano, Leon Bianco was a good option for accommodation to see everything.
-the staff, who even called around to restaurants to ensure we had tables with a view:) -the location, right in the centre -great breakfast -the amazing views from the dining/sitting room and main bedroom of our apartment -the price
Full breakfast; the location of our room facing the main square was excellent.
The hotel is ideally located in the very centre of San Gimignano and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay
We liked everything!
Hotel is located in main square. Walking within the town walls early morning before most visitors arrived was a wonderful experience. Reception staff recommended and booked excellent restaurants.
Superb location, helpful staff, some with good English, spacious corridors and beautiful lobby, beautiful spacious rooms on first floor, comfortable bed, spacious and new bathroom, cleanliness, views from rooms, very nice breakfast with some tables on a terrace. It felt like a family run hotel, which it may be.
Ideally located right in the town square. As you drive through the picturesque Tuscan hills, you arrive into the walls of San Gimignano. An amazing setting within a 1,000 year old medieval town that's vibrant with many things to do and see including museums, shops, restaurants and shows. Truly a wonderful place to stay, we are looking forward to going back! have your camera ready! The staff was wonderful, the rooms are within a structure that transports you back in time. The breakfast is great! ALL GOOD!
Beautiful hotel, Excellent service, Unbeatable location. Book without hesitation
In the square of medieval life
Loved the location, great accommodation, beautiful building and helpful staff.
The location is perfect. The Hotel itself is beautiful and the room had all that one could wish for.
- The location of the hotel was superb and close to all - The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Lisa - The organization of the car parking facilities is great - The rooms were comfortable and my daughter's sofa bed was a double bed, where she would not fall like other hotels who provide very small extra beds. - The overall ambiance of the hotel (design, view, flowers, plants, breakfast terrace, etc...) was an enchanting experience and contributed to us falling in love with San Gimignano
A people (walking) noise that woke us up early in the morning above our heads. It was very noisy and as if the roof was going to fall on us.
A complete surprise to find Leon Bianco was over 1000 years old yet modernised and offered all the comforts of a great hotel. The hotel had location, location, location! Situated in the main piazza of San Gimignano with cafes, shops and tempting gelaterias. The views from our window overlooked the Tuscan countryside and tiled rooftops of the village below. Picture perfect. Parking was not a problem. We drove right up to the hotel, dropped off luggage, checked in before parking outside the town walls, a ten minute walk away. Wished we could have stayed longer. Loved this medieval town and loved the hotel.
Location is right in the main piazza meaning eveywhere in the town is only a short walk. Breakfast was good and served on a nice roof terrace.
As expected the trade off for the location is having to park some distance away but it's worth it!
We were put in the apartment which was just fantastic. The views. My gosh, the Tuscan countryside views from the windows were amazing. It's right in the town center, but it wasn't noisy at night because we had the apartment which faced the countryside, not the square. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff was very helpful. Really, really enjoyed this place.
The location, right on the main piazza, is excellent. We splurged for the superior room with a view over the piazza and it was well worth it. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The cooked and continental breakfast buffet was delicious and well-maintained by staff.
Bedrooms need updating
The rooms were excellent. We traveled with three older sons and had separate but joining rooms located in a private suite. The breakfast was excellent. The amenities were excellent. Would highly recommend for couples I r families.
That we did not have more time to stay there.
A beautiful place, with comfy beds and right on the main square. We had a view over the Tuscan valley and the room was quite although it was a music festival the whole night.
Beautiful location, easy acess to the entire town. Would stay there again.
