First, the staff was impolite, particularly the woman at reception (Barbara?), who didn't even give a "buongiorno" in the morning. During breakfast, they would continuously argue with each other while we're eating.
There were hairs on the floor of the room. The bathroom provided amenities for only one person even though there were two guests. Tacky gold decor. Bathtub in the room rather than in the bathroom. Cracks in the wall. Tiny old TV with 4:3 aspect ratio where the programming today is all 16:9.
Double bed is two twins pushed together. We kept falling into the gap.
Breakfast was mediocre at best. No choices. Rather than fresh juice, little juice boxes, or rather "beverage with a base of orange juice".
Charging 2 euros for wi-fi, which is only available downstairs, just seems cheap. Just make it free. We're paying at least 100 euros a night anyway, what difference does 2 euros make? Thankfully, there's free wi-fi at the Venus restaurant across the piazza.
Nice location, great view of the lake and island.
