Quite far from city center you could have requested for pedestrian lane in front of the hotel. my room was in front of the street...veryyyyyyyyyyy noisy when the other room upstairs or adjacent room occupants flush the water closet in the toilet , the sound can be heard !!!!! i stayed for 3 days and same food during breakfast the hotel advertises of spa facilities in the hotel but none at all. i will recommend the hotel to others but with caution

Location was a bit scary. We had noisy room right on main road. Wifi was patchy and kept dropping out.

The hotel was the best we haved stayed in since moving to Italy. Very clean, excellent customer service from the staff checking in, great location, spacious, and even had a reasturant even though not gourmet but convient and food ok.

We removed the table linen since having 4 children it seems to be more in the way but was approached by the waitresses and they told us to return the linen because their boss would get upset with them. Shower did not drain very well.

Poor Internet accesse, the air condition is not easy to switch, close to street and it very nosy at night

Our room was next to the railway line so its a bit noisy and the temperature control was not functional as it set to high only

If possible avoid this place. The staff is incredibly nice and polite but you will not get any sleep. First tons of teenagers are usually staying here and worse, the train station is so close that you can hear them all night . Incredibly anoying!!

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean.

It was in a poor location - the wrong side of the tracks so to speak. The furnishings were very tired and worn. The breakfast was ok but the cooked food was always cold. The first room we were shown to was dire and outlook bleak, the free-standing shower had a mouldy plastic curtain around it and the bathroom smelt of damp (staff were very helpful when we asked to move). The niose from the trains could be heard although it was said to be sound-proof! The cost of the hotel was extortionate and completely out of proportion compared to the cost of any other 3 star and (even 4 star) hotels we have stayed in in Florence.

We liked the location, price, wi-fi, and included breakfast.. Also the one restaurant meal we had was very good and well priced.

Decorating was too stark and cold. But everything was clean and functional.

I took my sister on holiday as a 'special' birthday gift and it wasn't cheap. The room we were given backed onto the railway line, any closer we'd have been on it, the noise was horrendous although advertised as soundproof. The room reeked of damp, it was obnoxious, toilet seat was cracked, furnishings spartan and grim; wardrobe was an open space on the wall circa 3.5 ft tall, 2 ft wide, so tall garments just got creased, 7 hangers for 2 women and minimal space was laughable. I complained and was told the hotel had 'never' received complaints before! We were moved to another grim-looking room with a wider, but no taller, wardrobe gap. The shower was slippery with a nasty looking red painted floor to it?? With no non-slip mat provided; there was a large ceiling tile hanging loose over the bedroom door. The gym, which is still being advertised on the hotels web site, doesn't exist and hasn't been in place for the last 3 years (we were told by reception staff), by then I'd lost the heart to complain. Breakfast was plentiful but same things every day, not the elegantly displayed food they use in their advertising. All in all 5 star prices for 3rd rate hotel. You need to check out these hotels yourself and ensure you're/they're giving value for hard earned money rather than alowing misrepresentations to continue. I've found the whole process extremely disappointing.

Hotel Da Vinci's customer service was very very good. They went over and above what were expected of them to please their customers. After we left Hotel Leonardo Da Vinci to our next destination, we suddenly remembered that we had left a clock box and the warranty in the hotel room in our haste to make it on time for our train to Rome. As such, I contacted Hotel Leonardo Da Vinci about it, they told me that they have already sent me an email about the matter and they were willing to hold on to the item and ship it to anywhere we needed it to be shipped. It took us awhile to fully answer them as to the details of the shipping because we were on tour and always on the go. Even after two full weeks, they were still willing to ship the item that we left at the hotel only for the cost of the shipping. If that is not a very accommodating staff, I don't know what is. I highly recommend this hotel!

Just to nitpick, if you are the type of traveller who would like to have all the sights of the place you are visiting to be outside your hotel, then this is not the hotel for you. It is about a 5-10 minute walk going to the Duomo from the hotel. So it is not a long ways away from the center of Florence.

We did a 2 week tour of Europe by car. This hotel was the nicest of all, very modern with large rooms. Very professional and friendly staff. They provide free parking and they are located just outside of the ZTL (traffic restriction zone). Very important if you travel by car !! All the attractions are easily accessible by foot. Dining room and breakfast was excellent ! It is near the train station so train traffic at night may be a disturbance but I wear ear plugs to sleep when I travel so it wasn't a problem.
