Leonardo's Rooms is on the second floor of a 1970s building in the center of Pontassieve, 9 miles from Florence. All rooms offer a private bathroom, a tea/coffee maker, and free Wi-Fi. The Leonardo's is 100 yards from the bus station and the train station, with services to the major Tuscan destinations. There are many restaurants, cafés and bars in the area. The guesthouse is simply furnished, and the rooms are uniquely decorated. Some have private in-room bathrooms, and some have a private external bathroom. The hotel was on a 5 minutes walk from the railway station and the trip to Florence is just 30 minutes. There is a free parking within a walking distance too. The rooms we were staying were not what we were expecting. The pictures on the booking.com site showed quite unique and interesting ones. And frankly this was one of the reasons we chose this accomodation. Instead we were staying in completely different, plain not too comfortable rooms. The breakfast is not included in the price.

A really enjoyable experience! The rooms are quite unique in that they are situated on the second floor of a residential building which puts you right in there amongst every day Italian life. The rooms reflect the interests of the owners who travel themselves and are collectors of lovely pieces of furniture and other ethnic items. Maurd and Leonardo were great, have provided a kitchenette with fridge and oven for guests to use and a balcony with table and chairs which we made use of for meals. The rooms are walking distance to the train station with only 20 minutes into Florence. Parking is by the train station and is free though hard to get a park. We left the car there for the entire few days we were in Pontesieve and Florence.

ottima base per visitare Firenze .fuori dalla citta 20 minuti di treno.posto tranquillo per un ottima cena consiglio il maccherone. la struttura non e' un gran hotel ma basta accontentarsi.

Värdinnan trevlig och hjälpsam. Priset; 70€ för dubbelrum m. rel.enkel frukost. Rummet/n två trappor upp utan hiss. Man kan få ett bättre 4-stjärnigt hotell med buffetfrukost för mindre.

conoscevo l'albergo è la terza o quarta volta che vado la pulizia è importante nulla (per pigrizia ) forse le scale, e il bagno in camera anche se quello è molto grande e ci è piaciuto molto.

De entree schrok een beetje af.. Maar eenmaal binnen was het een klein paradijsje op aarde.. Geweldig leuke accommodatie.. De eigenaars waren hartverwarmend en deden alle het mogelijke om het naar de zin te maken.. Super leuk ontbijt op dakterras. Schoon, gezellig en van alle gemakken voorzien.. Een aanrader voor doorreis of stedentrip naar Florence. Trein voor de deur (50m) zonder daar hinder van te hebben. 20 min later stap je Firenze binnen Helemaal niets, tenzij je je laat afschrikken door de buitenkant van het pand

bijzonder vriendelijke eigenaars, goed ontbijt, relatief goedkoop in verhouding tot wat geboden wordt. zeer dicht bij het station. minder geschikt voor mensen die niet meer zo goed ter been zijn door steile toegangsweg en ontbreken van een lift in het gebouw

De kamers zijn ruim en er is een perfect verzorgde badkamer met alle functies werkende!!; ttz warm water direct bij aanzetten voor douche en wasbak, zelfs tegelijkertijd met anderen. De eigenaars doen alles zelf en 's morgens is er 'room service' met zelf gebakken broodjes en dies meer volgens uw bestelling 's avonds ervoor voor een verwonderlijk lage prijs. Er is op loopafstand een treinstation in de buurt voor bv Firenze te bezoeken en er is ook een camerabewaakte parking juist daarnaast. Bovendien heeft Pontassieve en zijn vriendelijke inwoners nog tal van culinaire attractieve zaken zoals, winkels, vleeswaren, kaas, wijn en restaurantjes, aan te bieden. Vriendelijke uitbaters die niet alleen italiaans praten maar o.a. ook zich in het engels u kunnen behelpen. Als men aankomt 's avonds denkt men 'waar is men hier terechtgekomen??' maar na enig verblijf verandert die gedachte. Men moet er wel rekening mee houden dat in zomerse hoge temperatuurperioden dat er geen airconditioning aanwezig is.

Posizione eccellente sia per visitare Firenze (100 metri dalla stazione FS di Pontassieve) che il valdarno/mugello, rapporto qualità prezzo pressoché imbattibile per la zona, possibilità di molti ristoranti di rilievo raggiungibili a piedi a Pontassieve o in macchina nei paraggi. Pulizia encomiabile.

Van de prijs kun je niets zeggen, je krijgt waar je voor betaald. De badkamer een beetje gedateerd, wat nieuwe kit zou wonderen doen. leuk dakterras. We hadden gevraagd om 2 bedden maar kregen een tweepersoonsbed met 1 laken. Parkeren moet bij het station 200 mtr verderop. beetje gedateerd.
