In a quiet location at the south end of the Amalfi coast, Lloyd's Baia Hotel has a panoramic cliff-top setting above its private beach. In Vietri Sul Mare, it is a 10-minute drive from Salerno harbor....
Score from 681 reviews Very good
Set on the seafront in Salerno, the Mediterranea Hotel & Convention Center features a roof garden, 2 restaurants, and air-conditioned rooms. A wired internet point is available at the front desk.

B&B Mini Hotel Incity offers free parking in central Salerno, just 550 yards from Salerno Station and a 2 minute walk from the promenade. It features free Wi-Fi and serves a simple Italian breakfast.
Score from 283 reviews Wonderful
Set in the centre of Salerno, B&B dei Mercanti is just 150 metres from Salerno Cathedral. The harbour is a 2-minute walk away.
Score from 7 reviews Exceptional
A gem of a B&b my room was just 10 metres from the beach with the sounds of the waves ensuring a beautiful sleep. Mario was the perfect host making me a coffee every morning. Rooms clean and spacious and plenty of hot water. Walking distance to the central train and bus station. Would highly recommence this small friendlyfamily run hotel
Wifi only works in downstairs patio.
The location was beautiful, right on the water overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, and the entrance hall/dining area were lovely - like a Mediterranean courtyard. Family owned - the son was very friendly and helpful, and recommended a fantastic restaurant nearby.
The room was NOT clean - there was human hair across the bedspread and inside the pillowcases. The shower was moldy and in need of a heavy scrub. The sink/tap was filthy, and there was a cup filled with dirty water left on the sink. The rooms are very dated (from the '80s, although the owner did let us know this prior to seeing the rooms, although). Also, the mother was not friendly, in fact quite abrupt and rude. We also found it slightly odd that we were at first asked to leave our passports at the desk by the son, then when we looked dismayed (not comfortable with leaving documents), he changed that to making copies of them.
If you like places to be a bit funky, this should be your choice. It's old and at places a bit run down, but that adds to it's charm. And of course the location is superb! Right at the seaside, with the road and the big hotels behind it. We had two double bed rooms with a great terrace and a more basic room at the back. The double rooms at the seaside were definitely better. Two rooms with a shared bathroom. Staff is very nice and when it was difficult to get a dinner nearby, helped us to get delicious pizzas delivered.
Breakfast is very Italian ;) i.e. very sweet!
Warm friendly staff, great location on the beach of Salerno, close to railway station, breakfast included, reasonably priced.
The hotel is small about 20 rooms, the staff is great, easy to communicate with even though not all speak English. It is the only hotel on the beach, walking distance to everything.
Nothing, anything not as convenient as expected is far exceeded by its charm and location,
Marco was a fantastic host. Very welcoming and eager to chat with us about what to see and do in the city and making suggestions for restaurants. The hotel is just a short walk from the city centre. The room we had was a bit small but it was clean and had a great view towards the sea. Typical Italian breakfast in the morning.
Room was a little small. With us and our bags in there it was a little awkward moving around
Sleeping with the sound of waves lapping. Very good at telling places to go in the local area. TIP catch the ferry to and from Positano, do not trust public bus system or you will be stranded for hours as it is so inadequate for the number of people using it. 14Leoni a gem...
I stayed there with my sister . We had a great view of the beach from our window. The staff were very helpful. We could walk to the port to take the ferry down the Amalfi coast and walk to the train station, too.
The beach was OK but there were rocks under the water which made is difficult wading in.
Very friendly owners, you can feel like a family member. Location just on the beach
Really nice family run business. Marco spoke great English. His lovely Italian mother spoke no English but was so wonderful to us. Great location on the beach.
Tiny bathroom. No wifi in the room but available on the patio areas.
The staff were amazing! On our last night we asked for a suggestion for dinner and they insisted on cooking for us instead! Its close to both the train station and dock. The room has air conditioning!
Our shower didn't have a curtain which led to the bathroom being soaked every-time we showered. The place could use some basic maintenance, but the great staff make up for it!
Beach side hotel at a great price!
Dint like the breakfast so much.
Loved Marco and Francesca, very helpful and friendly.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is directly on the beach. Spacious rooms. The bathroom was a little small but clean.
Leoni hotel is located near Salernos trainstation, a little bit walk along the sea. Great stuff speaking English and Swedish, very helpful and kind!!!
Staff friendly but spoke little English. Right on the beach. Close to Salerno shops. We stayed just prior to peak season and this hotel was quiet.
Room was small. Needed a carpenter to fix a few fixtures and fittings in the room. Shower leaked on bathroom floor. In peak season I believe this would be a very noisy place to stay.
The location is great, everything is very close: the shops, the railway station, the harbour, the sea, etc. There is a a choice of rooms and the terrace is nice to spend the evening. The hosts are very nice people, very helpful. The accomodation is worth the price.
The location, the family, the Italian/Mediterranean atmosphere, the comfort, the home, the whole experience
The shower is too small ... but the water's hot so what more can you ask for!
Free parking and sea view.
Typical pure Italian breakfast – croissant with coffee and juice. In case you want to visit Positano and/or Amalfi you have to leave the hotel before 8:00 in the morning so NO BREAKFAST for you – sorry! The humidity in the room was very high. No towel at all for 3 night visit! It was good that we have our own with us. Bath room (1.20m – 1.20m) was very dirty and smell awful. Furniture inside the room was from previous century and the cleanest of the room was totally inadequate for the money we paid. All the socked inside the room were damaged and unplugged from the wall. During the night we were scared to not have an electricity shock when we go to the toilet. Location is very noisy. No WiFi in the room.
Marco and his wife Francesca are wonderful. They cannot do enough for you so you can enjoy your stay. Super clean rooms. Breakfast is very nice and personal on their vine laced veranda. The B&B is right on the water so if you open the window you can hear the surf. The beach is no more than 75' from your window so you can walk around the B&B and be on the beach. Excellent location, Walk to many restaurants and shops, no taxi needed. Sit out on the terrace at night, enjoy the surf and look at the stars ! We have stayed here twice and love it !
There is nothing bad about 14 Leoni unless you expect room service and a 5 star restaurant.
nice friendly staff, good sea front location. low price
small rooms, sketchy shower
Excellent staff! They are very friendly and communicative. We went to the hotel too late on the first day and they suggested some food and drinks, because we were very hungry. In addition, they permit us for the late checkout. Location is good, near to the Salerno train station, in from of the seaside. In summer it should be one of the best places!!! Very beautiful garden inside, with outdoor chairs and tables, as well as balcony with the sea view. Recommend!!!
For us breakfast was poor - a cup of coffee and croissant. But this is an Italian style of breakfast.
The location is good, just on the beach, face the sea. The personnel is nice, restaurant he recommended is delicious .
Bathroom is too small, during shower cannot even turn around. When we came in we found a cockroach.
The staff is super friendly and the localization is very good. The cost-benefit relation is great.
staff is very friendly and helpful - exterior /open space inside hotel is very nice. good parking and location.
