Excellent location, close to the train station at the same time being in the heart of the city. Elisabeth is the great host, very friendly and helpful. Our 5-year old daughter spontaneously called her 'auntie'. Good breakfast in Italian style. Room spacious.
Friendliness, accommodating. We were able to leave our bags for the day.
We liked the room, big and clean. We liked the breakfast with a real good coffee. Elizabeth promised that the noise will stop in monday. We stayed as we didnt have much time to waste it in changing hotels.
We asked for a quite room, we didnt get on time their answer that it is noisy. And we got to the address you have doors (of a regular residence) you climb 31 steps to arrive to this "1st" floor which is like a flat with few rooms. We arrived at late 6pm and we didnt want to stay. So Elizabeth the owner didnt agree to xl before debiting the whole 4 nits. She called Bkng Com and you told her to debit only 2 nits if we go. We were very tired so we stayed using ear plugs. If I go back to Lucca I won't recommend this property.
Our host was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious. The location is great -- near the train station and within walking distance of everything in Lucca.
It was a bit noisy at night -- it's near a main gate to the city and I think lots of people hang out there. They left when the thunder storm started!
Within the walls of this loverly town, our host was very friendly. It was within walking distance to the train station and easy to find. Everything is close by with a shop selling excellent baked goodies across the road. Bowl of fruit and water available throughout the stay was thoughtful and handy.
Shower curtain, after the three of us had showered the floor was wet and so was the bath mat.
* The location inside Lucca's walls * The owner was very friendly
* Breakfast in plastic boards * Wifi was not working
The room is clean, and spacious... Also, the host is very friendly and helpful. The whole B&B gave us a very homely atmosphere.
The WIFI connection was not okay. We need amend mobile IP setting to get connected thru. Also, the breakfast was just average and could be better.
Warm and friendly staff, nice room & excellent location. Great place to stay!
The location was very central. Staff are very friendly & welcoming Very Clean & comfortable Nice breakfasts
Can be noisy but thats due to location which is superb
Noisy and worst breakfast in 2 weeks of B&B in Tuscany. Opposite a lovely bakers but sliced white bread and packet croissants given, no cereals no meat and no cheese, coffee cold so left and ate breakfast out. Wifi free but not available in our room.
Everything was just fantastic. Elisabeth is a great host. We were so sorry that we were only staying one night but we will be back for a longer stay. We just loved Le Violette.
Nothing at all that we didn't like.
We were very pleased that the B & B was easily accessible from the train station. Elizabeth, our host, is a native English speaker and VERY enthusiastic about Lucca and all that it offers. She helped us find some wonderful places to eat and explore. Breakfast was the typical Italian prima colazione, so nothing really special.
Only thing we would have liked to see was more hooks, towel racks and places to put our things in and around the bathroom. Bathroom and shower very small, but adequate.
Convenient for city centre. Nice helpful manager / owner?
Noise at night and in morning. A bit scruffy.
Loved Elisabeth. She is very engaging and energetic. We felt very safe behind 3 locked doors. Enjoyed the free breakfast.
this is our second time to stay here. we love it. It is close to the train station which is nice. good breakfast and Elizabeth is so helpful.
nice, clean, quiet b&b close to train station and sights.
It was perfect!
- cosy rooms and very friendly and helpful host - quiet room with short walking distance to city and railway station of Lucca -possibility to use kitchen and fridge
WiFi free connection, the position very close to the city centre and city wall
neither bidet nor heating system in the bathroom, very poor breakfast
