Hotel Le Volpaie is a beautiful, convenient base for exploring Tuscany. Just a 20 minute drive from San Gimignano and Volterra the hotel has its own gardens and pool. Relax by Le Volpaie’s pool with a cocktail while the children play on the playground or sit out on the terrace and enjoy the countryside views. The village of Castel San Gimignano is located right outside the hotel and bikes are available on site, allowing you to explore the surrounding area with ease. Family-run, Hotel Le Volpaie has just 15 rooms, located in the main building and in the outbuilding, situated in the gardens. All have modern facilities such as LCD satellite TV and free Wi-Fi access and some have their own balconies which enjoy exceptional views of the Tuscan hills. Hotel Le Volpaie can organize city tours, wine-tasting trips, horseback riding excursions and even cooking lessons upon request. Location was great for all the Castles and Medieval towns. The siute we had was perfect for relaxing and entertaining , Views were not aS advertised but it did not really matter Restaurant was not in operation

Served good breakfast and capuccino in the evenings, nice pool, well situated for touring central Tuscany, but limited choice of other restruants in village The beds were very hard and uncomfy, The rooms had metal grilles over bed room windows and doors with an internal panic alarm, which made us apprehensive, We did not think our room was value for money, as it was expensive

Een gezellig hotelletje. Kamer was schoon en redelijk ruim. Klein terras maar wel een mooi uitzicht. Aan de voorkant van het hotel loopt een drukke weg die flink wat lawaai geeft. Jammer dat je niet buiten kan ontbijten. Ontbijt is heel erg goed.Elke dag een gekookt eitje, vers fruit en zelf gebakken taarten staan er ook op het buffet. De eigenaars spreken alleen italiaans maar zijn zo servicegericht dat zij al weten wat je wil vragen voor dat je het zelf weet. Mooi schoon zwembad, alleen wel lawaai van de weg, dat is jammer. Hele vriendlijke mensen met een mooi hotel. In de buurt zijn leuke restaurantjes. Zeker een aanrader!!

L'hotel è molto pulito, gradevole e silenzioso, I proprietari sono cortesi e disponibili. Fantastico il balconcino della camera per potersi fumare una sigaretta senza dover uscire dall'albergo. Per quanto riguarda la posizione è stata perfetta perché a metà tra San Gimignano e Volterra, ciò ci ha permesso di raggiungerle con circa 15 min ognuna. L'uniche pecche sono: il frigobar non fredda, la colazione è fantastica per chi ama il salato e scarsa per chi ama il dolce, la camera non ci è piaciuta ma solo per una questione di gusto. Il corridoio di accesso alla camera sembra quello di un ospedale ma questo è poco rilevante.

The breakfasts were superb with a selection of fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, breads,and local jams that were the best in a month of travels in Italy.The room was large, clean and quiet. The location is about 12 km. From San Gimignano so car required but there are restaurant and bar in village for dinners. Pool was still open and spacious. Staff were helpful.

Impeccabile gestione familiare, tende verso le 4 stelle. Colazione spettacolare sia per il dolce che per il salato. Camera e ambienti comuni (reception, ecc.) confortevoli e curati. Parcheggio esterno riservato gratuito. Wi-Fi gratuito. Posizione comoda per visitare i dintorni (fra cui ad esempio San Gimignano e Volterra). Frigobar fornito solo di acqua (naturale e frizzante).

L'espace piscine est très bien Le couloir desservant les chambres ressemble à un couloir d"hopital. L'hotel se trouve au bord d'une passante et le repos autour de la piscine est très bruyant
