“It was an overnight stay. There was a very good ensuite with an excellent shower, wonderful breakfast and pleasant and polite staff. Please note I rarely give excellent as, in my opinion, it is an ideal. I would have given very good had that category been available.”

A fabulous hotel. Service was first class - friendly, helpful, efficient and prompt. The hotel was beautiful - very elegant art nouveau style in excellent condition. Breakfast was varied and interesting - and ample. Good value for money. Very convenient location - main attractions very walkable.

We have been in Hotel Liberty before and found all our good recollections confirmed. A truly wonderful hotel, very friedly staff, a beautiful room wth great bathroom, nice lobby where you can easily spend hours. Good location (close to via Etnea, very good restauants around) and good services (free wireless etc.). One of our top favourite hotels world-wide.

This hotel is clean, beautiful, and the service was impeccable. The breakfast was wonderful. The location is great for walking about the city, seeing the sights and there are great restaurants everywhere. Don't be put off by the graffiti as you approach the hotel. It is all over the city and seems to be a favorite pastime of Catanians.

The hotel was very elegant and beautiful. The room was amazing with a wonderful high painted ceiling. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Although the room was lovely the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Overall I thought the hotel was lovely and I was truly impressed by how beautiful it was. Hard bed. Also a charge of 8 euros for a tiny glass of fresh orange juice and an extra charge for hard boiled eggs? There was a tv in our room but of the many channels available only 3 were in English, they were all news and bbc world use was unwatchable as the reception was bad. The selection of pay films on offer was very poor.

We found the hotel down a scruffy sidestreet but once we were inside impressions changed and were very favourable. They welcomed us with a reviving drink and nibbles, parked the car for us as my wife is disabled and offered us a choice of rooms. The whole attitude of the staff and management was friendly and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. They tried at length to get opera tickets for us but we should have booked prior to leavivg the uk. They listed all their favourite restaurants for us and gave us maps and directions. We ate locally 200 yards from the hotel at a family restaurant that they recommended that filled up at 8.30 with all the locals. Food was good and prices were low. Breakfast was "continental" in nature but cake and lots of fruit were available. I would recommend highly: you will not be disappointed.

An absolute jewel in a city that is a bit ragged around the edges. A brilliant and very helpful staff and a beautifully appointed hotel. The city has some exquisite architecture, and good shopping, but like many overgrown places, one has to be willing to look for the pluses. Catania is one of the two airport towns in Sicily and the Liberty Hotel is an oasis of elegance, coming or going.

We stayed in an extremely comfortable suite and were very impressed by the staff professionalism and facilities. Although the hotel appears to be in a less salubrious part of the city, we felt very safe and the hotel is very convenient for walking to attractions in the olf town. Catania itself is fascinating and we believe that it is somewhat unfairly represented in some travel reviews, It has an edginess but much history. We arrived at the bus station from Noto, and found it impossible to locate a taxi, although the staff had given us clear instructions as to how to do this. But this was almost certainly the problem of the bus system rather than the hotel.

Excellent Service and Staff. The whole presentation of the hotel was some of the best we have seen however and did not give the impression of a large hotel were this type of decor is usualy found and therefore was more personal. Very well presented and nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff. They booked us tours arranged a hire car for the next week and also printed out our future hotel bookings in other Italian hotels. We arrived early for a 3 day stay and as our room was not ready we were offered breakfast free of charge.

Very central. Short trip from airport and close to shopping, restaurants, city attractions and activities. Staff very helpful and always available to assist within the hotel or for advice when venturing out. A quiet, comfortable and very efficient hotel. Room was very clean, pleasant and spacious. Definitely recommend it as a base to stay in if visiting Catania. Bar very expensive! & much of the menu appeared to be "brought in". B & B is very good, but best to eat and entertain out (at the many good bars and restaurants nearby).

very friendly , helpfull, good english speaking personal at the reception desk , it is in the middle of the centre , so a lot of very small streets before you get there but it is wirth looking for it , very nice , warm hotel , beautifull bathroom , very nice bedrooms , the entrance is beautifull . free wireless , near to nice little restaurants . op de bookingsite staat 4 km van de airport , dit is niet helemaal correct , het is verder maar geen reden om dit hotel te vermijden !!

The staff were charming, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The decor is superb in public areas and the rooms. The location is nice and quiet but convenient for both the city of Catania (much better than anticipated) and nearby attractions such as Mount Etna; Siracusa and Taormina. Not a thing.
