Lido Palace Hotel is right on the promenade in Santa Margherita Ligure, a 5-minute walk from the bus station. It features a restaurant, bar and fitness center. Guest rooms and suites at the Palace are spacious and elegant. They all feature a minibar, satellite TV and air conditioning. Most offer sea views, and some have a balcony. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. A generous breakfast buffet is available daily, and includes cold meats, cheeses and fresh pastries. The La Ghiaia restaurant serves local fresh fish and seafood dishes. At the fitness center, guests can relax in the Turkish bath, and book massages and other treatments. The gym features large windows overlooking the sea. Portofino is just 2.5 miles away and can be reached easily by boat from the harbor nearby. The Lido Palace Hotel is in an ideal location in Santa Margherita. The public beach is directly across the street with gorgeous coastline panoramic views. The train station is a short walk downhill to the hotel and there is every convenience that you could desire within walking distance. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in answering our many questions which ranged from where to mail letters, walking trail information, train and boat schedules, etc. The absolute best part of our stay at the Lido Palace Hotal was our room with a balcony overlooking the beach. The view was spectacular both day and night. One of my favorite Italian vacation memories will be the time spent relaxing on that balcony with my husband and a glass of wine watching all the sights and sounds of Santa Margherita. It was all good!

As far as I am concerned the only redeeming feature of this hotel is it's location. Very outdated decor and furniture . We stayed in a Junior suite which had a very peculiar layout and a cupboard which was locked with a padlock and chain! Very peculiar! The noise coming from outside was very loud and relentless, not a place for a relaxing week end. This hotel is rated 4 star , my opinion is that a rating of 3 star will be a generous one!

Staff were happy and helpfull,we were upgraded at a good price to the superior suite.My only possibly negative was that breakfast was a dissapointment.Juice bar was not fresh pastrys tired no cooked breakfast.

The junior suite with a full balcony overlooking the beach + harbor was wonderful. The property was immaculate + upscale with a very good assortment + quality of breakfast choices. Even with the windows closed + draps drawn, the street noise was somewhat disruptive when trying to sleep. Could not get a wifi signal in the room + had to check on emails from the sitting area next to the lobby.

Location is perfect, directly across from the beach and an easy walk to the center part of town. The ocean front rooms offer a delightful view of the seashore! Parking is available with advance reservations and is nearby in a guarded lot. The internet connections were slow, but that may be a result of the system and not the hotel's problem. Cost of parking was high.

Excellent location, the suites was great. Great location to the beach. They advertised a gym, but it was never opened. They advertised their restaurant, but their restaurant was only open for dinner once. One of the lady at the front desk, should be friendly as her colleagues

Location. Not at all what we expected. Room was not comfortable and very old. We were placed in the back of the building which was extremely noisy till early morning hours. We were not able to relax. Staff not very helpful. Overall we were very disappointed with this choice.

The location;it was situated just by the sea and the view was nice. Regarding the transportation means, the bus stop and the ferry was just outside the hotel. Very spacious room. Nice breakfast. the room was not modern at all; too old furniture, very old-fashion. The parking costs 30 euros per day..very expensive!

The Lido Palace Hotel was fantastic. The location was amazing and the service and staff were extremely nice and accomodating and made sure to see to our every need. I highly recommend staying at the Lido Palace Hotel and will certainly stay there on my next trip to Santa Margherita.

I loved the poition of the Lido Palace across the road from the beach. Its central location so shops and restaurants was fabulous. Even with double glazing the bedrooms were noisy at night. Out room backed on to the street behind where there were all night parties 2 nights out of our 4 night stay. I ended up sleeping on the pull out in the front lounge which was much quieter even though it faced the main street.
