Lido Palace Hotel  

Staff were happy and helpfull,we were upgraded at a good price to the superior suite.My only possibly negative was that breakfast was a dissapointment.Juice bar was not fresh pastrys tired no cooked breakfast.

We found out this hotel for last minutes by booking .com with comments. The comments were right. The location is very good , in front of the ocean, town....etc, very good location.They have a private parking spot thats help us well. All staffs are very kind, helpful, speaking good French, English, always welcoming the customers....etc. Free Wifi, welcoming our dog, recommend us nice restrain...etc. We will really recomend this hotel.

It was a bit noisey at night, since they are located in the town. We can hear the noise from the next room.But with all services, locations...etc...can be accetable for these small things.

Very friendly, helpful, perfect staff. Very good place, close to rail station and ship port. Beautiful sea view from the balcony. Free internet.

Street noise

Not at all what we expected. Room was not comfortable and very old. We were placed in the back of the building which was extremely noisy till early morning hours. We were not able to relax. Staff not very helpful. Overall we were very disappointed with this choice.

The location;it was situated just by the sea and the view was nice. Regarding the transportation means, the bus stop and the ferry was just outside the hotel. Very spacious room. Nice breakfast.

the room was not modern at all; too old furniture, very old-fashion. The parking costs 30 euros per day..very expensive!

Our suite was few steps away from the beach, it was a sea view suite and I loved waking up in the morning with the sea just 10 steps away.

Misleading,this is a 4 star hotel .On there home page they inform you of there services, but they do not inform you that some of the services come at a COST.No flat TV,no SKY,no private room for the use of there computer and to noisy.

The sea view was great

like everything in SML its over priced,the breakfast was poor for a 5 star rated hotel at 5 star prices

The hotel rooms are great as you have a small lounge area as well to relax in. Fantastic view of the sea. Hotel immediately opposite the beach and close to all restaurants, shops, buses and ferry.

The location overlooking the sea was excellent and it was close to all that Santa Margherita has to offer. The breakfast was plentiful and varied and the room was large.

I asked for a room with a sea view but didn't get one. We didn't find out until we arrived. They should have told us earlier as we expected one. Friends we met there booked through booking.com, paid the same rate and got a room with a sea view even though they didn't even ask for one! The furnishings in the room are old and tired. Our bed was hard and lumpy and the TV was so old that all the numbers/symbols on the remote control had rubbed off so you didn't know which buttons to press! Definitely time for an update—especially considering the price! Fresh toiletries were only supplied on the first day (we stayed for 3 nights) and when I asked for more soap, the staff seemed very surprised. I've stayed in much nicer hotels for a lot less money.
