The ideal destination for an exclusive stay in the stunning Gulf of Tigullio, the Lido Palace Hotel is a 4-star hotel situated in the centre of Santa Margherita Ligure and along the promenade of this well-known Ligurian city.
The outside of the building, in Liberty style, matches perfectly with the interior which is totally renewed in modern style. Warmth and intimacy, in an elegant and modern environment, with magnificent sea view on the wonderful Gulf; these are the features that make Lido Palace a suitable place for holidays and business travel. The hotel offers 54 breath taking rooms (6 suites superior, 3 suites privilege, 35 junior suites and 10 double standard rooms ), a brand-new American Bar, a well-known restaurant " La Ghiaia " where hotel guests or external guests can enjoy excellent cooking (Ligurian dishes and fish). The quality and simplicity of the food harmonizes with an accurate and cozy environment. A meeting center, a 300 square meters concert hall and a parking, are also part of the hotel.

location,

i did not think it was justified at being rated a 4* hotel, compared to 4* hotels in ireland, junior suite was similar to a package holiday apartment.No sky satelite tv, no hot breakfast only cold buffet, lobby area in hotel was tiny,no balcony,

The position

No guest laundry or fast [less than 2 -3 days!] laundry service for guests travelling lght, not even an iron available. One desk clerk said nearest laundromat was Rapallo, another said nearest was in Genoa! Our room was odd, up stairs--looked like it might once have been a store room. Cupboard doors stuck, . Bed pretty ordinary. Agree with previous comment that this should not be a "4-star" hotel

Beautiful views of the bay and very centrally located

I feel 4 star is being generous-the facilities and room were not up to the usual 4 star critieria that I have experienced in other countries.
