Right on the seafront in Portofino, Domina Home Piccolo offers a private rocky beach with a bar. It is a historic villa that now features stylish designer interiors.

On the picturesque promenade in the heart of Rapallo, Hotel Vesuvio has fantastic views of the Bay of Tigullio. Your room is complete with a balcony and has a beautiful view of the Ligurian Sea.
Score from 244 reviews Excellent
The hotel is close to everything worth doing in town. The beautiful beach is steps from the hotel. The bus to Portofino and Rapello is right across the street and the train to everywhere is a block away. The breakfast is also very good.
Nothing bad to report
Grest location beautiful view, friendly and helpful staff. It was all we expected and more
The balcony overlooking the sea was wonderful as were the staff. Very comfortable rooms with special extras.
Not a thing.
Location Breakfast View
Some staff members more helpful than others No swimming pool Wifi spotty
Location and view were excellent.
Street noise was loud.
Minutes from the train, right in front of the water, 2 mins. from restaurant and the hotel is full of charm and class. Do I need to say more. We did upgrade to a room with a balcony (recommend it) - this room was fresh and spacious (I understand the basic room was pretty average). I would say, the rooms were expensive but we still enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Yep, we could have spent a week here...
Location, location. Staff was friendly and helpful when needed. They helped us decide when and how to tour Cinque Terre.
Wi-Fi was very slow.
Great balcony, spacious suite that was clean and comfortable with friendly staff all in all a great destination. This is a place that I would recommend to a friend
very average wifi speed
Wi-Fi might be faster
The view Friendly, helpful staff Convenient location for walking to town The comfy rooms
We had to leave!!!
Located right in front of the beach, excellent customer service by front desk and housekeeping made our stay memorable. Details like fruit plate, quality bathroom toiletries and delicious breakfast helped.
We wished our balcony fronted the beach but that was our doing in selecting a room. Everything else was perfect.
junior suite was on 5 levels and difficult to live in. sadly double bed was to singles together and not very comfortable. we actually used the pull out settee in living room to sleep on. Facilites in the suite were very good
Great location. It was easy to walk to restaurants and points of interest and the ferry to Portofino. The public beach was across the street from the hotel. Our room had a great view of the sea. Irena at the front desk was helpful. She resolved our problem with the smelly room described in the negative column. The breakfast was included and it was very good.
We booked a non-smoking room. The room they gave us (which was designated as non-smoking) reeked of smoke. There were ashtrays everywhere, and a sign on the window warning guests not to toss cigarettes from there. We requested a room change. The first clerk (not Irena) said the room was fine, the ashtrays were for chewing gum, and there would be an extra charge if we went to a different room. The information booklet about the hotel amenities had several items in the Italian version that were omitted from the English version. Each hallway serves two floors. One has to walk up or down stairs to reach a room. The door opens to a sitting room, and there are steps leading down to the bathroom. From the bathroom there are steps leading up to the bedroom, a very odd configuration.
Good location with room overlooking the sea.
Location is right in the heart of Santa Margherita and so its proximity to everything is very good. It is also opposite a public beach in the sense that you do not have to pay a fee to use it. The view from our top floor hotel room was absolutely amazing.
Everything except the view and the location. The mature receptionist on check-in was pretty rude, super blunt and unhelpful. The younger receptionists were more helpful several days later. The room was about as basic as they come and if it wasn't for the view and the location would probably about one star. We didn't bother with breakfast everyday because it was so limited. Again the breakfast staff pretty much ignored you as you came in, sat down and had breakfast and left.
The Lido hotel is right across the road from the beach. Beautiful view from our little balcony of the water, promenade and the coast. The amenities in the room were great. The bed comfy and the bathroom whilst tiny had fluffy towels and toiletries. Handy hint if arriving by train : we got a taxi to the hotel as we had 2 large suitcases. Minimum charge is 15 Euro and we were only in the car for three minutes! Ask hotel for directions for walking. It is very close to train station.
We phoned reception and asked to have some ice bought to our room. We were charged 4 Euro ...! It was apparently a service charge. We have never ever in our years of travels been charged for ice being bought to our room.
cost of parking; quit noise for sleep
Very helpful staff. Always smiling and ready to answer any question. Excellent location right on the beach. The junior suite with sea view is super impressive
Everything was perfect
Location was fantastic, Oceanview room was great, more like a studio suite, split level seperate bedroom. Fabulous view over beach and entire waterfront! Staff were nice.
No coffee or tea making facilities in room. Breakfast only starts at 0730, not good for early departures, also breakfast strictly continental, cold boiled eggs only? No Ironing in room available and no one ever answered the phone when ringing from the room.
Staff, room, view, little soaps
Perfect location, close to the beach, the town and the habour. The staffe was very nice and very helpfull with all our request. The brekfast was nice and again nice staff in the brekfast resaturant. The rooms are a bit dated but with lots of space and the view was stunning (304), and every thing was spotless clean.
The bathroom is a bit small. The price of parking on site i high (but it is in the city, so it is prety standard).
Amazing hotel with a great location, friendly staff, very spacious rooms, plenty of parking spaces
Nothing at all
Rather old bathroom facility especially shower curtain. Wifi doesn't work well at all
