Located just 50 yards from St. Mark's Square, Hotel Noemi is a family-run property in the heart of Venice. Its rooms have 18th-century Venetian décor with elegant furniture and refined fabrics.
Score from 324 reviews Good
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was located very well.
We had a room with a view over the canel below. It was a gondola pick up point so there was lots of activity. Noise was not an issue. It was very close to St Marks Square. We only had to take our cases over two bridges to get to the water taxi. There were also many lovely restaurants close by.
We were on the third floor so there were around 55 steep steps but the man at reception carried my wife's case for her.
The location was excellent, being a 5 minute walk away from St. Marks Square
The room was very small and very dated. The bed was rock hard and the room was very dark and dingy
Central location and friendly, helpful staff.
Like the rest of venice the Hotel Lisbona is full of old world charm, It's location, five minutes walk from San Marco Sqaure puts it right in the middle of Venice's tourist district, in an area, loaded with designer label stores (ideal if thats your thing), if not it is a great location to start your exploration of Venice. The Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful, we had a standard double room with a small balcony that overlooked a canal at a point which also happened to be one of the Gondola hire jetty's giving us an excellent view of the Gondolas as they came and went, sometimes with musical accompaniment, the room was clean as was the bathroom, breakfast was fine with a variety of cereals, meats and cheese as well as sweets. There was some noise from the canal, but it stop us sleeping. over all I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here and would certainly stay there again if I am lucky enough to return to Venice.
location and canal view was awesome. The gondola station was right outside our room window.staff was helpful.
breakfast was not value for money at all.The carpets had a musty smell in the entire hotel.
Location, little balcony over canal
Ok, you read all the bits about, the rooms are small, the stairs are tall and all that...stop grumbling..this is Venice and the place is lovely and old! Loved the location and the staff were great. Appreciate them and they will appreciate you. Location is top of the pops and the price fits.
The stairs were not fun but I knew they were there before I booked so why grumble. The staff and location and the "Venice feel" made up for it 100 times over.
Friendly staff location
Location, and loved balcony over canal, lovely view.
The breakfast was very nice. The rooms were cozy with Venetian fabric walls and marble bathrooms. If your room overlooks the canal it is very pretty. And the location is great with a short walk from St. Marks Square.
The biggest negative with this hotel was that it operated like a bed and breakfast. The staff requested that you turn in your key when you leave the building. Our flight was delayed so we arrived late to the hotel and the staff member seemed annoyed that we kept him up. I got the feeling that if you went out at night and came back at 1130 something you might be locked out of the hotel. Just be aware of this quirk if you plan on booking. The staff members in general seemed a little stiff and not super friendly. Also the wifi was pretty expensive at 3 euros an hour for slow-moderate speed.
This hotel is amazing -brilliant location just off st marks square. The staff were so helpful . It cost us 600 euros for 5 nights -cannot recommend this place enough
It was easy to get to. The location is great and close to the opera house. The staff were nice and helpful.
The room was nice but small. The area makes up for that though. Oh I forgot about the stairs ..hate stairs. The staff did carry our bags up for us, that made it better. .a lot better.
6 square metre room????????and this includes the wardrobe. That was shocking. 40 stairs to room with no lift?????? Breakfast - what breakfast? Bar - where????? View - some other hotel wall from the smallest room I have ever been. Bathroom - pathetic. If the soap fell in bathroom, it was impossible to pick up - I think it was 500mm x 500mm Very noisy all the time. This is not a hotel???????My servants room is 5 stars compared with this. Spoilt my holiday the moment I entered this hotel. I have photos should anyone to see them. Email me on email@example.com TV - ancient stuff here.
Location right near St Marco Square and on a canal, we could watch the Gondolas go by from our small balcony. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was continental but plentiful.
* location * canal view
* size of the room and bathroom : very, very small
Overlooking canal with gondoliers serenading tourists and the constant flow of water traffic. Location to water taxis, gondolas, St Marks Square, cheaper eating, high end fashion.
Climbing the many stairs to room but good exercise considering we were celebrating our 60th birthdays.
Poor atitude and poor facility.
Location right in the centre with canal view and gondoliers signing below our balcony window.
Very very tiny bathroom
Great location-- 3 minutes to San Marcos Plaza, great canal view with gondolas outside the window. Decent European breakfast. Old, Venetian décor (appropriate for the location). Great honeymoon room on a budget (if that exists in Venice).
No free WiFi. No elevator and long, steep stairs (we were two flights up). One receptionist was helpful and recommended a few things when we asked (perfect English, as he was from the U.S.). The other one tried to be helpful, but often times wasn't (perhaps a language barrier). At one point, I called with a question about how to work the in-room hairdryer and was told, "no, no, you can't use." After a confused exchange, he sent someone to help. The maid seemed a bit annoyed, but hey, maybe I would be too if I got the same question all the time.
Could not get a better location. Staff very friendly & helped with all questions about sightseeing, transport, etc.Very comfortable beds & quality, traditional decoration throughout.
Would have appreciated complimentary water or be able to purchase large bottles.
Perfect location! We stayed in a canal view room on the 1st floor and… wow! Waking up in the morning to the gondola boys singing was something incredible. Breakfast selection was great, wifi was fast although it came at a cost. The staff were all super friendly. Email through and ask for a lower floor room as the hotel has no elevator. Would stay again if we are in Venice, thanks for an amazing stay guys!!
The location and staff were nice. We had a balcony room so it was nice being able to over look the canals. The only real plus is this place is a short walk from San Marco.
Room was right on top of the gondola station, we had read a review about being able to hear Gondolers singing below, well there's only 2 in the entire city that actually sing and they weren't below, instead you hear Gondolas crashing into each other and the Gondoler's conversations. When we were there it was also scorching hot and our AC didn't work when we first go there, after getting it sorted out it blew just enough to take the sweltering heat out but that was it. The actual room had cloth walls? and old comforter, my wife got terrible sick from her allergies we think from the dust in the walls. Also the room was super tiny, which is to be expected in Venice, but with the heat+allergy problem it made for an interesting trip.
Fabulous location. Only a 5 minute walk from St. Mark's Square vaporetto stop so good for transport up and down Grand Canal. Good variety of food at breakfast. Our room was right on a canal and had a small balcony which was great to watch the gondoliers. Very friendly staff. Minibar in room.
Room was noisy because it was on a canal right beside a gondolier stop. The gondoliers shouted and laughed with each other all day which was charming at first but not later on in the evening. We opened our windows and mosquitoes bit me through the night. Only a small breakfast area (only 5 tables that sat either 2 or 3) so if you went for breakfast when it was busy you he to wait for a table. But... this hotel is such great value so don't let any of this put you off. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. Wifi cost 3€ for an hour.
Location, location, location. 2 min walk from Marco square. Rooms with canal views. Friendly staff, charming rooms with character. Great breakfast.
bathroom had damp smell, shower curtain dirty. Not huge issues though. would happily stay again.
