Svårt att hitta o om man inte vill stanna på hotellet o äta middag måste man köra bil en halvtimme till närmsta by. Maten ok men inte super

First, Daniella, the manager, was amazing...gracious, helpful, caring, just lovely. She helped us plan our daytime excursions and also with a problem retrieving train tickets. The food prepared by Simone was likewise, amazing. A treat after an adventurous day exploring the Tuscany area. At dinner for three out of the four evenings, there was friendly conversation with other travelers as well as the owners, who happened to be in residence while we were there. On the fourth night, we were alone with a private fire lit romantic meal. Good wine was an important aspect in planning our Italian vacation and Livernano did not disappoint in that regard. We stayed in the Baronal suite and every feature was exquisite. The weather during our whole trip (the week after Easter) was very cold but we were cozy in our rooms - the bathroom seemed to have heated floors, and the bed was wonderful. The long drive (mentioned by others and in the "didn't like" portion of this review) was only a minor adjustment to our plans. Instead of hurrying off each day to see two or three of Tuscan's sights, we, instead set out for Siena on one day and Volterra on another with the third day spent in nearby Radda and the winery that is part of Livernano, Casalvento. In a way, the relative isolation of the inn made us take a more relaxed attitude and we believe it paid off in the end with a more luxurious vacation.

This absolutely did not keep us from loving our stay at Livernano, but the inn was a bit off the beaten track as mentioned by others. In the end we wished we had allowed ourselves more days so that we could have time to visit other areas. Each excursion took a bit more time than we expected.

The location, though not easy to find OR to get to, was completely worth it once we navigated the Italian mountain side. BREATHTAKING scenery and ambiance...my wife and I would love to come again...WELL worth the time and money...

The room was a little cold...very much like a castle might be. :)

The complete and utter peace and quiet the beauty of the buildings and countryside the friendly and amusing staff

Getting lost - it is hard to find and even though staff has tried to get the gps thing to work - they need to try harder and get it on the gps maps.

Very quite location. Each morning when we got up there was mist in the valley which you could see castles through in the distance. Wow. We have traveled lots, been to italy 6 times, this is a very nice spot. Dinner one night was great. Room we had was large and very comfortable.

The yiung girl in the morning tried very hrad to foam milk for our morning cappaiccino but just could not do it. Road was very rough and getting to hotel, we loed the adventure of this but some may not. Do not drive a low sports car to this hotel.

The staff was so helpful and friendly. I loved that it not only included breakfast but also had options to pre-order dinner.. It was quite a drive out of the place to the nearest town so it was so nice to settle in for a lovely and relaxing dinner after each day of sightseeing. The food was wonderful as well. The rooms were spacious, attractive, well-appointed and relaxing. We really enjoyed them as well as the very beautiful grounds.

It was very hard to find with no signage from the main road (not to mention that the directions provided through booking.com were incorrect to begin with as to what exits to take off of the main highway). We were so frustrated and had to make several calls to Livernano to help with directions but those are hard to follow without specific landmarks to be looking for (just an unmarked turn off the pavement onto a gravel road). We spent at least two extra hours of our time trying to find it as it was getting dark. I was ready to give up. I'm glad we didn't and was ever so grateful to get there at 8:00pm and have Simonet ask us if we wanted dinner. Finally we were able to relax and unwind! Other than the ability to find it problem, we loved our stay there. It was great!

We had mentioned it was our 25th anniversary and so when we arrived we were thrilled to see beautiful red roses with red wine and red candles for us to enjoy in addition to red hearts on the bed and red heart balloons in a vase.

After we booked a suite through your site we received an email from Daniella of Livernano saying there was an error and the suite we booked was unavailable that we would be allotted a different room at a discount with beautiful views and a bottle of wine on the house. On arrival we were told that we had a nice surprise, they were able to work majic and that we were given the suite that we had initially requested. We met 2 other couples there for the 1st time that were thrilled with their suites and we walked through each other's rooms to compare and I realized their suites were elegant and opulent while our suite had an additional bedroom that would not be used as we were just 2 of us, but in addition to that was comfortable but very plain in comparison. None of this bothered us at all. What we were not told on check in was that on check out we were expected to pay for the room at the price that was 1st mentioned on your site without the discount that was promised. Daniella was off that day and when we questioned about the bill she said that was the price we had agreed to initially and if we were not happy to let her know. We did not want to make a scene and ruin what otherwise was a nice time. Someone else in our stead would not have accepted that. We were not thrilled that this was not told to us before as the difference was a couple of hundred extra euros. It was the principle and lack of communication that bothered us.

Everything! Location in rural Tuscany, beautiful old villa smartly converted and appointed, excellent food, surrounding countryside, amenities, but most of all DANIELLA! The manager, Daniella, made everything better, more special, tastier, more beautiful. Can't say enough good things about her. She is the best of the best!!!!

There was absolutely nothing we didn't love.

Loved this hidden gem! It was difficult to find, but well worth the efforts. The rooms were fabulous. This was by far the best stop of our Italian travels!!

Livernano is a piece ofheaven on earth. Danielle is a wonderful person who cares for her guests, and is full of useful tips and advice. I have seen earlier reports that complained of a lack of airconditioning, but our room was equipped with modern aircon although it wasnt necessary for us to use it.

Excellent country castle with great staff and a fantastic restaurant. Plan to eat at the Inn and share the fixed dinner. There's enough for two and it is truly a gourmet feast. You will be happy you chose this wonderful place.

Long, rough drive in but worth it.

My daughter (10 years old) and I had a wonderful vacation at Livernano A little bit far from the nearest city, but the silence there compense the distance The staff was absolutely friendly and the place are fantastic! Good breakfast, and amazing dinner Great and peaceful pool, that was antastic for my daughter, a great "finale" of each day traveling around We will come back for sure!!!

From the wild boar and deer running across the road, to the idealic views across the valley to the amazIng meals served, this place was truly a perfect Tuscan retreat!!.... As for the staff Daniella, Simona and Chef - they couldn't be any more helpful. Well be back for sure!

Perhaps changing the towels every two days instead of every three days.

We stayed here at the last minute on our honeymoon as the private villa we had booked was a bit of a disaster. All the staff at Livernano welcomed us like family and they upgraded us from a room to the most amazing suite. We honestly have nothing negative to say about this place and we are pretty fussy! The suite was decorated in a lovely Tuscan understated elegant way and was very luxurious. The grounds and pool are beautiful. To us this property represents the real Tuscan countryside. The food is amazing and we ate there nearly every night and couldn't wait to see what chef was going to prepare (it is a set menu). This property is down a country road (gravel) which could put some people off but we found it added to the quiet charm of the place and it is still in easy driving distances to all the towns Tuscany is famous for. We want to thank Daniela and all the staff at Livernano for making our stay in Tuscany on our honeymoon so memorable. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful views and nice rooms, good views from the pool, and good wines at reasonable prices

The air-comditioning broke during the night and the power went. This happened twice during the previous day also. There was no-one to fix it and it was impossible to sleep due to the high temperatures. There was a wasps nest at the pool, uncomfortable to have so many wasps around, dangerous for some people! I booked this place as a gourmet hotel. The food was very poor, many people didnt eat here (despite it being a very dangerous fire- road drive to the nearest restaurant, most people ate out after the first night!!). The food was stodgy, expensive and often unpleasant.

Exquisite inn in Tuscan wine country. Great food. Sister winery gives wine tasting and tour of winery. Less than half hour from Siena, so good location for driving around that part of Tuscany.

It was in a beauitful location with wonderful views. The rooms were spacious and comforable. The staff were kind and attentive. We just loved spending our time there. The food was yummy too!

Adoramos o hotel , pois a acomodação é ótima ,super limpo , super confortável, muito charmoso. Tudo feito com capricho . a recepcionista Daniela é muito agradável. Um lugar lindo e especial !

Pars chegar no hotel é muito dificil , digo encontrar o hotel realmente é muito , se tiver um mapa muito bem feito pode ser que fique um pouco mais fácil. Mas o mapa que nos é enviado nao é o suficiente para chegar . Mas qdo se esta la , nao é longe das ciadades da região Chianti , é perto !

Mitarbeiter super freundlich, besonders Daniela, aber auch der junge Mann im Service war überzeugend. Zimmer (in unserem Falle Suite) war stimmungsvoll, schön eingerichtet, geräumig, gemütlich. Einen Abend haben wir im Hotel das 4gg Menü genossen - herrlich. Auch Wein, Grappa, Kaffee und das tägliche Frühstücksbuffet - wunderbar. Können wir nur weiterempfehlen.

Wenn es regnet (was es leider teilweise tat), ist man etwas von der Außenwelt abgeschnitten, da in der Nähe wirklich hauptsächlich Landschaft ist. In die nächstgelegenen Orte Radda bzw. Castellina sind es zu Fuß rd. 1 1/2 bis 2 Stunden, je nach sportlicher Ambition. Den sehr schönen Billardraum im Livernano (der Tisch steht wirklich gerade, auch wenn man das in dem alten, schiefen Gemäuer auf den ersten Blick nicht meinen möchte) haben wir leider erst am Tag unserer Abreise entdeckt ...
