Boasting views of Lake Maggiore and a peaceful location, B&B Lago Maggiore is 500 metres from the lake shores and from the centre of Cannobio.
Score from 230 reviews Wonderful
The family-managed Albergo Sempione overlooks Lake Maggiore, and is only 165 ft from the pier of the ferries for the Borromean Islands. Most rooms offer views of the lake.
Score from 301 reviews Good
Large common areas, privacy, large balcony for sitting out. Good for sleeping. Massimo was a great host, very helpful on sights to see. Refrigerator and microwave in the common area was very useful.
Hard boiled egg at breakfast to provide protein would have been nice. Breakfast overall was great.
Excellent view from a balcony
It's pretty difficult to get to the location if you don't have a car.
they dont have a privet bathroom and if you dont see it when taking order its a shame... and brakfast is poor anlesse you add money. when ordering- there is not a way to cansell and price for what you get is high
This B&B was just as we had hoped for. It had a lovely large room/bathroom and a terrace with views to die for. A nice chilled bottle of wine fro Massimo's fridge was just the perfect start to our stay. Breakfast was heavenly with a large selection to choose from too. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.
The host was really welcoming and went out of his way to make us comfortable. The rooms were clean and spacious and an extra cot bed was provided for our young child. The breakfast was delicious and plenty to choose from. We also got some great advice from the staff about good places to eat in the local town.
Nice location (great view), a bit far from the nearest village. The owner is an extremely kind host, giving us useful suggestions about the area.
Our host and breakfast.
Driveway entrance and drive to town
The owner is really nice and the room was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. I also liked the gated parking which was easy access. I will definitely stay there again.
Given it's a bed and breakfast, I wasn't overly excited to share a bathroom, though it was very clean, spacious, and never had any problems. It's also not safe to walk to the city center because part of the road is very narrow for cars to pass. It's also a long steep hill back up. But, take your car and you are I'm the city in five minutes.
The owner is very attentive and provided us with all info and tips we needed. The view from our balcony was all you could wish for. Perfect location, if you got the car.
The ceiling is low, goes under an angle so it'd be a bit uncomfortable for tall, older people or if you have back problems. Otherwise, the place is the best!
