Chi ha visto 'Pane e tulipani' non ha bisogno di altre parole. For tourists: this is one of the last 'locanda' which still exists in Venice. Don't miss it.

Great if you want to get into the heart of Venice. An upstairs room in a well run family hotel. Clean warm comfortable bed. Bathroom warm and clean. Need to be familiar with the directions, its a strait forward 200m walk from the station; but in Venice a good map and knowing what to expect is necessary.

In venice it is all about walking. There arent cars, taxi or buses. So once you are good located, it's the best thing. The hotel is Like 12min walking from the station santa lucia. There is a market near, bars And restaurants. You can reach piazza san marco in 20 min, in the path you Can already see attractions Like the Ponte di Rialto. Venice it self is an attraction. The hotel is very clean And organized. There is a sink in the room. The bathroom was shared, but very clean as well. I would stay There again def.

Very nice and friendly staff. Free wi-fi available. Very good breakfast, and AMAZING coffee! :) We couldn't find it! But I suppose this is the general problem in Venice :)

The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was a bit small but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was tiny but clean with a very good shower. We could hear a bit too much the noise of the shower in the shared bathroom next to our room. It is a pity that the WiFi is available only in common spaces.

The rooms were very nice. The furniture was old, traditional, but fully functional, so this was very nice and I liked it. You can find a bit noisy when people are passing the hallways, but after a whole day of walking in Venice you should fall asleep quickly. The breakfast is indeed quite small, but you want more I think you may ask and you shall get.

Even though we arrived in late night and the hotel has curfew hours, the owner was so kind to guide us through the venice in the night via phone and to wait for us. :) It was clean and friendly.

The reception staff was very helpful. The shared toilets were well-kept despite the rooms on our floor being nearly full. There was no air-conditioning, so it was not such a good idea for a summer trip as we had to leave the windows open and were bitten by bugs in the night, though the temperature was manageable. The hotel was quite a walk from the train station where we arrived, and it was hard finding it as Venice's streets are complicated and most street signs had faded to the point of being unreadable.

The owner is very pleasant. The hotel is reasonably located We booked this hotel about a month before we left home and paid quite a high price, (although it was one of the lowest at the time). I think Venetian hostelry is lazy. Because they know that they have a steady stream of customers, they don't make much effort. The room was basic and functional but not inviting. The breakfast was a couple of rolls and a coffee - if that is enough for you then fine, otherwise I wouldn't bother. There were a lot of signs everywhere which would have been neater if they were put in a Welcome Pack in the room. We returned to Venice a week later but chose somewhere more reasonably-priced.

Close to both a vaporretto and traghetto stop. Many restaurants closeby. Manager replaced burnt out reading light bulbs immediately. Breakfast was pathetic, not included with the fare, which we didn't know and were not informed of, and expensive.

It was 200euro for 2 nights and it was lowest price :-( But so poor - room without toilet, no breakfast, nothing. Smell is so bad in room, all socket was broken. In Rome for less price we had 4stars Great hotel in the middle of the town. It`s not worth money at all!!!

Very authentic place - location is great, hosts (I don't write personnel, because it seems it's a family run place) are very friendly and welcoming Overal price level in Venice hotels and what you get for it. Breakfast was extremely poor (although what can you get for 3 Eur...)
