Characteristic, little Locanda Art Deco provides easy access to public transportation in a quiet part of the San Marco district of Venice, a convenient 5-minute walk from Italy's most famous square.
Score from 209 reviews Very good
Hotel Rio is located in the centre of Venice, just 250 metres from Saint Mark’s Square. Free WiFi access is available in all areas.
Score from 22 reviews Wonderful
In Venice's quiet Dorsoduro neighborhood, Hotel Messner is just a few steps from the Salute water bus stop. It features classically-furnished rooms and a varied breakfast buffet.
Score from 640 reviews Good
B&B Lion Morosini is in a 12th-century building in central Venice, half a mile from St. Mark’s Square and 330 yards from Rialto Bridge. It overlooks the famous Grand Canal.

Great location, value for money mix up over if breakfast was included but agreed for us to have it.
No one on reception after 11.00am
Friendly staff, good breakfast and great location.
Air conditioner is centrally controlled and turned off at night, so it got very warm and stuffy.
Excellent location, extremely close to Piazza San Marco. Quiet area, clean and large rooms, helpful staff.
Bathroom is a bit too small
Location, 5 minutes from San Marco square. despite that it was very difficult to find it. It took us about half an hour. friendly staff
Breakfast is very (very) poor. Toasts, cereals with milk, and tea/coffee. That's it. bathroom facilities are dirty, there was a problem in water sewage in shower. the room itself is very tiny. No room even for exercise:((
Location is perfect. You couldn't ask for a better location. Fairly clean. Staff was helpful.
Tricky to find. The shower did not drain well so the floor was inches deep within 30 seconds.
Central location Great staff
Great location within 5 min walk to plaza and Basillica. Lots of food options near by. Very clean and well run. Right near water taxi stop.
Great location, close to San Marcos square and Doges Palace.
Hard pillows, a bit noisy with what seemed to be a restaurant just below us.
-spacious bedroom and bathroom - staff is nice - not far from the city centre
-not so clean inc. the bed sheets and the floor - no air conditioner--so we have to open the window all night so we can smell something from outside, not good during summer
Although the hotel was a bit difficult to find, once there it turned out to be quite convenient. The room was unusually large for Venice.
The breakfast was unusually skimpy and unappetizing. We live in Italy and know what is usual, and this breakfast was well below the usual standard.
Close to St. Mark's square and the water bus stations.
Not very hospitable. No reception on duty unless they knew the time you were arriving. Not enough bathroom supplies and no one around to assist you. Not a very welcoming entry. No lift to assist with heavy luggage to the second floor. No one on duty for check out. The picture on Booking.com is misleading as the rooms are old and not well maintained. Bathroom shower needs replacing in the room we stayed in.
It felt like a home morethan just a hotel
Good staff there. WIFI is good. It is easier to find the hotel when ask the locals working in the bar around. Breakfast is good.
Not very clean in the bed. Found some hair in the bed.
Clean and friendly; location is fantastic
Breakfast is poor
Central, quiet location very near to the very busy St Mark's Square and district, friendly staff
Same basic breakfast every day more or less - needs a bit more variation and choices over a stay of a few days.
Location is perfect, just few steps from San Marco Square. Our room was very big, decorated in Venetian style. WIFI worked fine in room and everywhere.
Difficult to find the hotel at first time.
Location is perfect, don,t expect a Holiday inn with all facilities, it´s more a bed and breakfast.
There´s nothing we did not like.
the only thing i liked about this horrible place is that i did stay there for only 2 nights
1) location like in horror film 2) there was no actually personnel. only to serve breakfast, give keys and take them out. 3) loads of dust and hair on the floor 4) price - if even it was for free i would not agree to stay there 5) the street is 1 m width (it is normal for Venezia) but in the opposit building were some ventilation fans working so loud so you cannot open the window in the night to breath some fresh air. disgusting place.
The receptionist mas very nice, and would tell us every thing about the city and how to get around the canals. The room is very comfortable, wifi works very well, and the rooms are very quiet.
wifi only works for one device, breakfast area was a little small.it was hard to reach on foot if you are a budget traveler and arrive in venice from train or bus.
Very polite and hospitale owner or representative Selena She arranged late accomodation out of the pointed out peceipt schedule, very helpful The location of hotel is perfect- it is real 3 ' from San Marco I recommend it
Location, the decoration of the room
The breakfast was until 10a.m., and we started eating at 9:50. At 10:00 the ladie started to take away all the food, and we had to hurry and get everything else we wanted. Besides, the staff was talking very loudly all the time we were having breakfast. The ladie was complaining about someone's child going to school and the girl was the only italien. The place and the location are really nice, but those attitudes from the staff were very rude and unprofessional.
I liked this hotel.because it is near center of venice and it is clean.the staff is so friendly :)
The staff is so kind and friendly. Because we suffered the rise period of water. And we don't have waterproof boots. Luckly the staff send 3 boots for us so we can go out. The location of the hotel is hard to find but it doesn't matter. The staff will come to the station to pick you up.
I stayed at the Locanda with my moter and my cousin for few days. The place is very clean, the location can't be better, super clean and the staff AMAZING!!!My mother had a health problem while we were in Venice and Selena the hotel manager went with us to the hospital and help us with the hospital registration and all!!Thanks Selena for everything! I recommend Locanda Cavanella for everyone!
