We had a few drinks and dined under the lovely alfresco pergola; the prices were very reasonable for drinks and food and the quality very good.

Rooms were not very airy and bit dark.

We did not have any high expectations, but the hotel was very cosy and had a nice restaurant. Good food and nice people!

We booked two rooms, and both of the bathrooms had defect shower heads (they did not stay in place while showering). When we booked the two rooms, the total price was Euro 75, but when we checked out and paid it was price per room, so the total price was Euro 150. This was something that I did not see while paying, but found on our booking comfirmation afterwards. Maybe we can get this refunded somehow?

It's a really romantic place with a special Italian style. It has a very good restaurant as well. The railway station is just 20 minutes walk, and man can take the bus to the hairbour easily.

Very pleasant and friendly staff. A good evening meal. The hotel is characterful, not for those who like style and luxury, but an authentic taste of Italy,in this 17th century building. Fabulous old doors and a surprise in what appears to be a down at heel area. If you have a large car check your height and width and proceed slowly into the car park with someone to guide you. The staff will help and we got in with a Peugeot 806 (just!!!) The overhang is very solid.

The cancellation policy (4 days before is a bit too much), but then again without it would not have experienced this hotel, which on balance is good. The morning bread was like wood, but the breakfast was OK, apart from that.

The people running the place are very kind. There is a nice restaurant with great food at reasonable prices.

- A fridge in the room would be nice - the shower was not working properly - the room didn't have a window (only a roof one)

The room was nice. It was quiet and peaceful. The courtyard is beautiful.

The service was not very helpful. The location is really out of the way, and it was not immediately clear how much of an issue this would be. It's a 30 minute walk with rolling luggage, the path to the hotel is bumpy, and it's not near anything else. It was hard to find, and we had to ask several people for directions. It was so much out of the way that it wasn't on the tourist guide map. We're comfortable walking long distances, even with a fairly brisk pace, but considering the distance, they should really offer to pick people up from the train station or should help provide some other mode of transportation. It's just not that convenient to get to. Going back to the hotel at night did not seem safe at all (considering the graffiti and run down surrounding area), so taxi is probably your best bet. The taxi ride at night was over 10 Euros.

Hotel is nice and can be found easily. Staff was nice and friendly and gave proper information regarding the visit to the Cinq Terre. There is a pizzeria near where to take dinner. Breakfast was correct.

Localization: considering the town is not a very nice town, coming back to the hotel by night by walk from the train station is not really pleasant. Also, for the parking, better not to have a big car.

Free parking on site (almost always available), kind reception desk clerk who gave us some useful pieces of information.Very nice continental breakfast (try out the croissants!) :)

Locanda Dal Moccia is an old typical Italian house, quite dark but in a nice way, nice woodwork and elegantly tiled floors. There is a very pleasant garden, completely shaded by vines for breakfast and dinner, not for sunbathing ! Breakfast and dinner were always very good indeed. But the best thing about L D Moccia is the atmosphere, all of the staff are fantastic, especially Fabio the chef. They are obviously all good friends and this makes it a really happy place to be. Would be very happy to stay there again.

There is some noise from plumbing etc from other rooms but this depends on how considerate the other guests are. Noisy people can make it annoying to sleep, but the next night can be no problem at all. Most houses/hotels with stone or tiled floors are noisy if people where hard shoes above your room.
