The lack of elevator
We were able to have a great experience on the porch, which was our favorite memory of the trip in Florence. The staff recommended us to dine at the porch which we very much loved. The staff was very helpful and kind.
Railway station and tourist sites all within easy walking distance. We had a lovely double room with en-suite, which was cleaned and made up every day. The rooftop terrace is worth the climb up the spiral staircase for the amazing view.
We liked the location, the breakfast, the helpful staff, the comfortable beds, good showers, clean, great panoramic view from the roof of the building and great view from the breakfast table.
No lift because it was prevented by law but the helpful staff carried the bags up the three levels.
What ever you ask the staff they would provide, I asked for an iron, they provided without hesitation, asked for water, and a place for the beer they provided without hesitation, good breakfast and clean.
its on the forth floor, with the bags it would be very tiring.
very good cafe over the road, Percy was very helpful organising entry tickets to Uffizi and Academia Galleries, beautiful view from breakfast room, clean bathroom, easy walk from station, historic building
stairs were quite a climb after a busy day - but to be expected in such an old building
Central location in Florence made it easy to walk to all the sites. Kitchenette saved us money by being able to cook our own meals it very fun as well!
The air conditioner in our room was not working properly so it was fairly hot in the room.
Staff was very friendly and helpful even providing special food for dietary restrictions. The accommodation were very comfortable and roomy. Good location to all the main sites. View from rooftop balcony was beautiful and relaxing.
The bed was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great.
The bathroom was quite petite. There would be more room if you got rid of the bidet.
Staff was very nice. At check- in we were shown to our room and everything seemed right.
Stairs, no lift, which it's okay buy not specified in hotel description. The air conditioning in our room was working when we checked in, went out to eat and when we got back it was completely turned off and we couldn't get it to work. We were told if we needed anything to just knock on the managers office door. My husband tried more than several times and nobody ever came out. We spent a very uncomfortable night in a very warm room. The WiFi did not work for the first 6 hrs we were there.
Lovely spacious room with a very comfortable bed, feather pillows and lovely cotton bed sheets - bliss. Air conditioning which you could control yourself. Beautiful old furnishings. The ensuite was extremely clean although a little dated. Wi-fi connection was good. Fantastic views from the roof terrace if you could negogiate the spiral staircase. Would recommend to family and friends, would stay here again.
Only dislike which we knew when booking and could not of been changed was the several flights of stairs up to the hotel. Compensated by the views though from the roof terrace.
Good location Very good view on Duomo
No elevator Weak breakfast Toilet outside of room
The roof balcony is surprise. Very good breakfast!
Bathroom is too too small
Great location within a short walk to the City centre. Staff are very friendly, the room comfortable and good breakfast. We appreciated being able to leave our bags on the morning of departure to do some last minute exploring.
The room was noisy at night with the buzz of the city.
It is quite good, especially the staff are really nice. Even though there is no life , the staff helped us with the luggage. The breakfast is realllly good, the room is clean. It is nice to stay there. The only one thing is the bathroom is out of the room , sometimes it is not that convinience.
Tbe rooftop seating
Entrance is a bit unclear and you have to carry your baggage up the stairs
Excelent location huge room and very friendly staff. The view from the terrace on top is magnificent
No parking...but that's how it is in Florence...
This hotel was in a perfect location in the heart of Florence. The staff was great and made us feel very much at home. We absolutely loved the roof top sitting area and met some really great people.
Good location, terrace view amazing, if you are lucky, reserve the room which has kitchen:) helpfull staff
Great location and staff. Breakfast was good
room 3 (where we stayed) had a separate bathroom across the hall. Wasn't a big deal but a bit inconvenient. Also you constantly had to enter new passwords for the wifi
Convenient location for trade fair
67 steps no lift not mentioned on details Horrible smelly bathroom. Breakfast v basic and ran out of rolls/salami which had to go and replace Old fashi
It is in an excellent location close to the train station and lot of shopping and restaurant. Great view of the duomo and excellent breakfast. I will highly recommend to anyone visiting Florence.
The room we were in has the bathroom outside the room which is a bit inconvenient. Other than that, it was an superb choice.
Good breakfast, fabulous staff, (they will help getting your luggage up the stairs) great location, (we walked the whole city from her), roof top terrace experience
Seventy steps, no lifts but this is a heritage building with restrictions on renovations. Don't even think of hiring a car during your stay, traffic is horrendace in the city with no parking.
For the most part the owner was helpful and friendly.
Very old building in a grungy part of Florence - the hotel is not in the shopping heart and at night walking back through some of the streets near the hotel is an interesting experience. The wi-fi was unreliable and did not work consistently. The air-conditioning was inadequate - each day we stayed in Florence it was 35C + and we expected the cooling system to be at least on a comfortable basis. Unfortunately it was not. The room was hot and the bathroom resembled a sauna.
