We love the lication close to the train station and great restaurants and bars, also close to sights
Lots of stairs to reach the apartment, minimal breakfast
Very good location for walking to all sites.
We stayed for 4 nights in Room 5 at the start of our honeymoon in Italy and we enjoyed every aspect of Florence from this base. The hotel gave us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco when they heard we were honeymooners and we got the room for very cheap based on a booking.com deal. Access to the roof terrace day and night was great, beautiful view of Duomo and San Lorenzo market. Excellent food in the market building and great leather bargains in the grounds surrounding. We truly enjoyed our stay.
People working there were extremely hard working, friendly, and helpful! The location is great as well: close to the train station and just a short walk to the main attractions of Florence. Would definitely stay here again if I make a future trip to Florence!
A fantastic B&B with an incredibly friendly owner/staff. Perfect location, good price, very clean and confortable room, and a beautiful terrace on the roof.
The B&B is on the third floor without any elevator. It was not an issue for us, but should be kept in mind.
Good location ( Near the railway station about a 5 minute walk).
Bathroom is not good.
Location, Comfort, Breakfast, Terrace, Bathroom, Room size, Extra Class Service . Definitely return to your hotel! Grazie mille!
the location was perfect, 5 mins from the bus/train station, 10 mins from the duoma. good breakfast and very clean rooms. really helpfull host.
A long way to the top!!
Located in historic Florence, this hotel is within walking distance of almost everything we wanted to see. The owners were very nice, the beds were comfy, and the room was clean. Breakfast was not lavish but was enjoyable.
The exterior is not well marked, making the hotel difficult to find. Fortunately we took a taxi from the nearby railroad station, or we would probably not have found it without a lot of wandering around. This is not a neighborhood where my 38-year- old daughter and I felt comfortable walking after dark. The hotel has no elevator, requiring quite a hike up several flights of stairs to get to your room. However, the owner kindly assisted us with our luggage both checking in and leaving.
The room, cleanliness, location, breakfast and service were wonderful.
After walking and sight-seeing all day, 4 flights of stairs were very challenging for us...even with the owners help with luggage. No lift.
Breakfast and location
Location close to everything right off of Nationalize from the train station. Turn the next corner to the Mercata and you will find wonderful outdoor restuarants. Nice breakfast room. Assortment of bakery with cheese, meat and hardboiled eggs. Room 5 only has skylights. Large room. Nice tile floors.
As with many B&B's in Italy it is on the 4 floor without an elevator. Luggage will be carried up and down. Stored our luggage for the day and then carried it down.
We had a wonderful 3 day stay here. I was concerned about it being on the third floor, but Percy helped with our bags and was exceptionally helpful and friendly, as was Chiara. The room was comfortable and featured a small kitchenette and sky light. We purchased food at the nearby Central Market and cooked dinner there one night. The included breakfast was plentiful. The highlight was the access to the rooftop where you could take your wine and cheese in the evening to sit and enjoy an incredible view of Florence!
This is a historical building dating back to the Medicis so there is no elevator. For us, the excellence of the accommodations more than made up for the stairs, especially as Percy assisted with our bags; but it could be a problem for some guests.
The location is fantastic. It is just a short walk to the duomo and other sites. There is also a small store across the street to purchase snacks or drinks. The staff was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed in an expensive hotel in Rome the day before and this place made the one in Rome look dirty. The room was very clean and the linens were new. The view from the rooftop terrace was amazing!!!!
Breakfast was a little sparse, but it was still good. Be aware the rooms are on the top floor and the only way up is stairs. Someone will help with the bags, but my mother had a hard time because of bad knees. If you have a handicap this may not be the place for you.
we liked the location, staff, breakfast room with GREAT view
our own room number 5 which had no access to natural light. Also be aware that you have to climb 70 steps to the 3rd floor (NO LIFT!)
Good location, close enough to station and all the main sites, local restaurants & market, Clean and comfortable room with nice breakfasts & a good view of the Duomo. Friendly & courteous staff. Good value for money.
Think we could have had a better room, we were just off the breakfast room with a strange semi en suite bathroom arrangement.
The room was lovely, the bed very comfortable. Percy, the manager, was very helpful, carrying our bags up and down the stairs. From the breakfast area you could see the Duomo over the rooftops. The room was nicely decorated and air conditioned (small room air conditioner)
I guess I forgot that the hotel was 3 floors up (69 steps to be exact) which was difficult, but Percy carried our bags up and down for us. The breakfast was serviceable at best, just filling an empty hole. They could have more fresh pastry, instead of cellophane packages of commercial pastry. The bathroom separate from the room which was weird and the shower very small, but the room was on the modern side. The location was far from historical attractions when you are walking but, as in the title, this is what you get when you pay 140 euros for a room in Florence.
The staff went out of their way to help us. Everyone was very friendly. The room/bath are very good and clean.
The shower is quite small, but we managed!
Couldn't fault anything, great views, great value for money and excellent location !
Clean, spacious, tremendous views, great location
no elevator, parking is 150 m away, no place to stop in front of hotel to unload
Loved the antique furniture in the large rooms...gave it a great old world feel. Amazing (but small) roof top balcony with a view to die for. Great breakfast.
It is a haul up the stairs to the 3rd floor with your luggage, but worth it. We did ask for help printing out directions to our next destination and discovered that they printed it out on recycled paper that had another travelers passport copy on it. Made me nervous that maybe our passport copies where being used as copy paper too.
Staff most helpful and willingly assisted with carrying luggage. Breakfasts good with nice views of cathedral.
Situated on 3rd floor with no lift. Also room we had overlooked noisy street. Even with windows closed and air con with ear plugs night street cleaning was noisy
Staff were very helpful @ friendly. Great continental breakfast. Lovely clean room. Lots of information provided re places to visit etc. close to everything- shops, restaurants, railway station, bus routes.
No lift to hotel, which was on the third floor - but we knew that before we booked it, however this information is not noted on the site, it was purely by looking at the reviews that we found this out.
The room itself was fine, it was clean and comfortable.
Very hard to find. I asked the owner for directions which he sent me - in Italian, so that was no help. The problem is twofold, all the properties in the street have 2 numbers (!!???!!) and the only sign that this place is even in the street is a bread plate size plaque stuck on the wall in amongst 3 other plaques. We spent a lot of time walking right past this property. The second issue is steps, lots of them. There is no lift and this property is on the third floor of a very high ceilinged building. The location is central but in a very "iffy" area, lots of unsavoury looking types around and whilst the concierge is very nice, he speaks very little English.
