location, the staff, wifi, refrigerater,
room condition (placed in the half basement, so the room has some smell & the floor without any carpet ) long check in time & no reception, breakfast only a bread & a cup of coffee
staff (Lisa) met us at the accommodation and we were explained everything we needed to know for our 3 night stay including places to eat, laundromat and best way to see the sights. It is walking distance from the train station and easy to find your way around.
The place had no reception area which wasn't a problem, just a bit unusual. Our room came off the common room which was a little noisy at times when people were checking in, and going to and from their rooms.
Nearby train station to cinque terre. Very helpful staff.
Not very comfortable bed
Host is kind, nice, and well supports the travel. Will come back here again if i travel there.
Breakfast is shabby.
The staff was very welcoming. Though the breakfast was out in a cafe nearby, it was no problem. We got useful advices for having dinner and spending time in the town as well. A nice option having hot drinks from machine for few coins.
Only window in the room was very high over an extra door but it was compensated enough with the light and air conditioning. Can agree it wasn`t too easy to find the hotel - we missed it the first time passing by.
The location is excellent to visit the Cinque Terre, near to the train station (5 mn walk), near to the walking area of the town with many restaurants.
High ceilings, spacious bathroom, plenty of closet space, good air-conditioning, great location near the train station, and they allowed us to store our baggage after check-out until later in the afternoon when we were done exploring Cinque Terre. Very nice staff, but her English was just a little difficult to understand.
The wi-fi was out the weekend we were there and couldn't be fixed until the next week. So that was inconvenient. The shower could have been cleaner. A guy might not mind, but most girls probably would have minded. The breakfast was a coupon for one of two nearby cafes for a little coffee and a pastry. That might be ok for Italians, but as Americans we would have preferred a much bigger breakfast, especially with a day of hiking through Cinque Terre ahead of us.
The host was very helpfull and available to give us all the hints abut the place. Just need to call in adavance to announce our arrival! Very convenient and simple!
The included breakfast is thin but good.
- close to railway station (2') - close to boat station (10') - great people (thank you Eliza!) - clean - right at the beginning of the walking area - great location with restaurants and shops
- breakfast is very poor - noise from the street
Easy to find, wonderful location, good explanations about the region.
Elisa is very nice and she introduced all details to us. The restaurant she recommended is perfect. We arrived La Spezia at 9am and she is waiting us outside the hotel. The location is good as it close to the train station, the room is comfort and clean. The breakfast is okay also.
We loved how close it was to the train, and how easy it was to find.
The staff was friendly
Almost no natural light, the room is basically in a basement on a noisy street and the breakfast consists of a piece of bread with a coup of coffee.
A very nice hotel. Very clean, cozy and comfortable. A good location: 5 minutes to the railway station, 15 minutes to the seaport - so it's a perfect good place to stay in order to visit both Cinque Terre and Portovenere and don't forget about Spezia itself - it's rather interesting town too. Special thanks to Elisa, who organized a very welcoming and friendly meeting for us and even made short walk with us in order to show cafe and shops near the hotel. Note: it will be well, if you notify Elisa about the time of your arrival by phone or at least by e-mail - the hotel hasn't got regular reception. All in all, I can give it 10 points of ten to this hotel with pleasure. Perfetto! Grazie!
Breakfast includes only coffee with croissant. Sometimes it was a bit noisy. Seagulls on the Ligurian coast are too loud :)
Location is great, very close ti the train station. Clean enough.
The air conditioner was a bit loud.
Location convenient to train station and to town.
I didn't realize there was no staff on site. With no cell phone and limited access to email, I might have struggled to get my room. I was lucky to arrive when someone was there to receive me. Also, I spent three weeks in Italy, but this was the only place where my credit cards (two cards, with two separate accounts and two different banks) did not work. Please fix this!
Liked the location relative to the train station and the walking street
Lack of view
The Locando del golfo was a very pleasant surprise for us. The room was very clean and a 5 minute walk to the train station and 10 minute walk for boat cruises for easy and quick access to the Cinque Terre villages.
Not much in La Spezia itself, but it is very easy to get to Cinques Terre with the hotel's proximity to the train station.
too noisy as it close to street
- Breakfast. - Dark in the room. - Small room.
The staff was incredible!! Very personal and sweet.
Near the station Comfortable
Elisa was very friendly and did a great job at assisting us with our stay in La Spezia and visit to Cinque Terre. The fact that she spoke English was a bonus. The location was about 200m from La Spezia Centrale station.
Good location, easy to find.staff is helpful,a very pleasant stay.
The location was very good, not far from train station which is a 20 minute ride to Cinque Terre and very convenient to restaurants and shopping. We took a ferry to Portovenere and spent a fabulous afternoon. La Spieza is a lovely town that I would highy recommend to anyone.
The breakfast coupon was good for a cup of coffee and a small pastry.
