Locanda Del Sole

Excellent and friendly service in a brilliant central location. My husband and I were only in Rome for one night but would definitely stay at Locanda del Sole on another trip to Rome.

There is nothing not to like.

Location was so convenient. We walked everywhere. Loved being near Piazza Navone. Lots of restaurants and shops close by. We stayed in the smallest room but every amenity was provided with good taste and thoughtfulness. Mini fridge was stocked with drinks and snacks at no extra cost. Bed was the most comfortable we have found anywhere in our travels. Very clean and nice linen. The room was so quiet it was hard to believe we were in a big city. Best of all were the hosts, Marco and Emiliano. They were so helpful and gracious we felt like we were guests staying in their home. They took so much pride in their B&B and in meeting all of our needs and spoke English which was helpful to us. Great recommendations for restaurants and helped with train tickets and arranging to see the sights. We were so pleased with our choice to stay there and look forward to returning. We would probably choose one of the larger rooms. Breakfasts were very good selection of cheeses, boiled eggs, meats, pastries and fruit. Wonderful coffee too. A winning choice!

Room was small with no real sitting area but adequate.

The location was absolutely fantastic walking distance to most major attractions. The owners of the hotel couldn't help enough, with booking taxis and attraction visits etc. Rooms were beautifully decorated and the bathrooms luxurious. the Mini bar was full and the contents were free which I found a nice touch.

Excellent location and lived upto it's reviews online. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. The minibar is free - we tried to warn them but they insisted! Very helpful and organised tickets online for major places so we did not have to queue with everyone else and walked straight in.

From the moment we stepped through the door we knew we had chosen the right hotel. The atmosphere was so inviting and the staff friendly. We were there to celebrate my wife's birthday, and when we arrived there was a lovely bunch of red roses on the bed - such a wonderful gesture. We were constantly looked after, and always felt at home. Anytime we went out of the room, we were offered a delicious Cappuccino (their speciality - highly recommended). The staff were also very helpful with tips of places to see, places to eat, and how to get there. They are also directly opposite restaurant Alfredo, the inventors of Fettuccine Alfredo, and well within waking distance of the main sights of Rome. Thank you so much to owners Marco and Pierluigi Sole, and their assistant Emiliano for looking after us so well.

The location is excellent for main tourist attractions and is reasonably quiet. The owners have a great attention to detail and cannot be faulted for their genuine desire to provide a first class service. They can be relied upon to provide useful recommendations for restaurants and tours. The rooms are elegant and comfortably furnished. Drinks are available throughout the day and from the free minibar.

The personal service was excellent and the room was beautifully decorated. We were made to feel really welcome and there was nothing our hosts wouldn't do to make our stay special.

There isn't anything that I did not enjoy about my stay!

The room was spotless, the staff were very welcoming, helpful and eager to please.

The most important aspect of this boutique bed-and-breakfast establishment is the devotion to the well-being of guests by the owners, Marco and Pierluigi Sole, and their assistant and friend Emiliano. These three men pay every attention to one's needs, going out of their way to smooth paths and ensure the happiest of experiences in Rome. We will not forget them.

The staff are incredibly friendly and the rooms beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. It was great that the rooms were cleaned every day and towels could be changed like a hotel. The wifi was very fast and the loan of an ipad was brilliant.

Marco and his staff made our stay in Rome fantastic. They took care of all our needs including our airport transportation, hiring a private guide to local sights and even showed up at 5:30 a.m. to make sure we had breakfast before heading to the airport.

The service, location, quality, and most of all the attention to every detail was outstanding. We were very impressed with our stay here and would recommend Laconda Del Sole to anyone who is looking the best.

From the start, Marco was super helpful. Even before we arrived we had excellent service. They arranged an airport transfer for us, made several museum reservations for us, and provided helpful information on where to get a massage after a long flight. Even after two of our flights were delayed, getting us there hours later, they still managed to arrange our airport pick up. The location of the B&B is perfect. It’s within walking distance to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Tiber River, Spanish Steps and Via Del Corso. Marco recommended some restaurants to us and we had a chance to eat at Alfredo’s across the street. Divine food! We were so glad he told us about it and were thankful it was right across the street on our one rainy day in Rome. Our room was just lovely. We stayed in the Ghirigori room, smaller than the others, but my no means lacking. The room was beautifully decorated and had 5 star hotel amenities. A welcome bottle of wine, daily basket of fruit and a mini bar refreshed daily and provided for at no additional charge- what a treat! The bed was very comfortable, the rain shower was delightful, and the rooms were spotlessly clean thanks to Rossanna. Even though it is the smallest room, we felt we had plenty of space and didn’t consider it a “small” room. All the rooms have been recently renovated and everything feels so nice and new. Breakfast was prepared meticulously by Emiliano. He was such a sweetheart and took such great care of us. According to my husband, Emiliano made the best cappuccino he tasted in our 12 day trip to Italy. The breakfast room is adorable and Emiliano goes to great care to make sure he sets everything up in a visually appealing way and in the quietest way possible when he knows some of his guests are still sleeping. He also arranged for our laundry to be sent out and returned the same day, a welcome relief. I can’t think of anything I would change about Locanda del Sole.

Fantastic! Best hotel in Rome.

Excellent personal touch from all of the staff. They booked our trips to the Vatican & Colesseum which made it easy for us and saved us time. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definately stay here again and recommend it to family and friends

From arrival to leaving the staff were 100% lovely. Location central, so clean, so friendly, generous hosts, lovely mini bar included, chocs with every cup of coffee, stylish room with fab en-suite and ultra quiet room to sleep after a hard day of walking.

The taxi driver from the station way over charged us (30 Euros instead of 10) was the only negative for the whole trip. Nothing Locanda Del Sole could prevent as we picked the taxi up from the railway rank.

En 1 mot : Exceptionnel Tout est parfait, l'accueil (en francais) dans ce "petit" hotel (4 chambres je crois) est des plus simple, familial, et rempli de conseil (carte de rome, n° de telephone 24/24 en cas de probleme), chambre magnifique, tout inclus (mini bar, chianti, corbeille de fruits ...), petit dejeuné, tres conviviale et chaleureux. Et une situation geographique idéale (30mn du colysée, 15 mn du vatican). Ils sont deja au courant (hotel tenu par 2 freres), mes futurs sejours a rome passeront par chez eux !!!

нужно предупреждать, что отель, а вернее пансион, переделанный из обычной квартиры находиться в обычном подъезде жилого дома, а о том, что здесь отель свидетельствует только золотистая табличка 10х15 см и надпись на кнопке звонка.

Оооочень приятный,комфортабельный отель.расположение идеальное-от всех достопримечательностей пешком 5,10,20 минут-экономия на такси 100%,ни разу не воспользовались.завтраки первоклассные,кофе просто бесподобный.в отеле всего три номера-тишина и покой :) все очень внимательные вокруг и доброжелательные
