Close to shopping and cathedral Nice room Loved the roof terrace That this is not a hotel, but more like living in a flat in Milano:)
Good location, friendly people, clean and cosy flat.
When you get there call the owner on your mobile for the check-in. I pressed all the door bells and spoke to everyone in the building before I figured this out. :))
It is not a place to stay It is a JAIL :(
The location was good. Breakfast was provided at cafe nearby which was nice- just coffee and 2 croissants which are enough
The unit was abit dark
Very friendly host next door, but could so with offering a wider selection for Breakfast. Good location for access to public transport and local attractions
Poor finish quality to furnishings and fittings - did not seem to fit the relatively high price tag of the rent. Also, the roof terrace needs sprucing up.
il personale è eccellente Grazie, Roberto!! I've stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed a lot around the city. The restaurants recommended by staff are all very nice. The bar next door is nice as well.
There are some mosquitos(^^;) It should be ordiary, though.
Great location, self contained apartment that was quite spacious.
Proximity to centre. Charming building. Roof terrace. Adjoining rooms to form enclosed private suite. Good quality bed linen and comfortable bed. Very friendly staff in Café below.(only croissant and 1coffee included - 2nd coffee charged)
Waiting for someone to arrive to book in despite emailing ETA to the Locanda and Booking.com. Third bed was a very hard put you up. No written information at apartment re breakfast or checking out or any local information, though Marina was helpful regarding this and also sorted out our niggles regarding shortage of glasses, pillows, and towels. Lovely coffee machine but some milk cartons would have been useful.
Beautiful rooms, terrace on the house, beauftiful bathroom, large fridge and coffee machine in the room
The cleaning ladies knocked on our dour at 9:15! When we went to have breakfast about 30 min later, and came back after 10 min, it was not possible to have another private and relaxing time in the room, because they didn't bother to leave. The 'free' breakfast consists only of a cappucino (or similar) and a brioche, which cost about 2 Euro if you buy it yourself. Fresh orange juice was not included. A bit ridiculous to call that free breakfast. As Locanda al Duomo is not a hotel, there's no lobby, and no safe place to leave luggage until the afternoon. Which was very inconvinient, because at Stazione Cadorno, there's no baggage deposit facility, we had to go to Stazione Centrale.
The location was perfect, the staff was very nice and eager to help, the beds were confortable and at night the neighborhood was very quiet, so you can have a good night sleep.
The water from the shower either comes out freezing cold or burning hot.Taking showers was painful! 0(
Location very good.
I asked the staff if they would hold my luggage while we toured the city on the day of our check in - they said they would. Came back to the room to find my suitcases left outside the room - sent an e mail to company and didn't even get an acknowledgment. I paid £500 plus. No facilities other than tea and coffee. Breakfast was a a few sweet pastries in the cafe next door -would have preferred something a bit more substantial. Disappointed at the service for the vast amount of money spent
Excellent service, elegant PR lady, walking distance from La Scala & Duomo, cosy room with hi-end luxury details, friendly room service.
Thanks for everything！ My parents are also satisfied with it！
Apartment lovely and location excellent.
Person meeting us seemed under prepared as did not know we booked the apartment and how many was staying and gave no info where to leave the keys so left tthem in the door.
Norma was GREAT! Cool old church next door and street below. Close to the Duomo and shopping.
The cafe below - rude server.
Location and the property manager (owner?).
1. Noise from the street. 2. No restaurant for breakfast. We were told the cafe downstairs was the place to eat, but only one coffee and a croissant for each person. We had impression from the cafe that we were not even welcome to have that limited breakfast there. 3. This is no hotel. There are maybe one more room next to ours, thus no front desk to check in. Because I didn't let the owner know prior to our arrival (it is hard to gauge the exact time when your travel involves with a few different methods of transportation even though I had known that I had to arrange the checkin time), we had to find a way to call the property manager and wait for her to come and open the front door for us after more than 13 hours on the road to get there.
Excellent advice for short stay things to do (thank you Norma). Very nice apartment in walking distance of either Duomo area as well as Brera quarter.
The extra beds were too short for our children
