Very central location.
Wifi Friendly, helpfull staff
Hard to find, 3 different places with the name locanda in the same street
Very central location, close to all famous sights.friendly and helpful staff.
Great location,Cinzia was great as she arranged for an airport transfer for us upon arrival. The 2 boys from Bangladesh were excellent workers. The one booked our cab and when it was late he waited on the street with us & kept checking with the cab company!
There was a night club right near the hotel & you could not get to sleep til the wee hours as it was loud. Cinzia chastised one of the Bangladesh boys in front of us, something about he called the wrong cab company...she could have been more professional about this & not done it in front of us (guests of hotel). The boy patiently waited with us and was concerned when cab was late...we were very impressed with him. WOuld not stay here again because of the night club noise!
We chose this hotel specifically for the location, and could not have been happier. It's perfect - just a few streets away from Piazza Navona and surrounded by amazing cafes and restaurants. Super central and walkable to most places. A lot of people complained about the noise in these reviews, but it didn't bother us at all. We had a corner room over a very busy bar, and with the window open, yes, it was loud, but it was part of the ambiance! With the windows shut you could still hear a little bit of outside noise, but nothing that prevented us from getting a good nights sleep. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Bed was comfy and shower was small but clean with great pressure. Great value.
Not a con - but there is no lift so just something to be aware of if you struggle with stairs. Locanda Navona is on the second floor so one flight of stairs didn't bother us at all.
You couldn't ask for a better location Helpful staff Very clean and quiet WiFi was fast Coffee/Tea and snacks in room
Room was small but again, the location more than made up for this
We liked everything about this place; - The room is big enough and comfortable. A.o. double windows (very quiet), mini fridge where you can store some things you bought. - Attentive and friendly staff. - Nice detail were the coffee and tea facilities, cookies, chocolate and free bottles of water which were all replenished daily. We even got a bottle of wine on the house :) Of course the location! In the middle of centro storico, close to Piazza Navona and some nice restaurants and bars. -Wifi reception pretty good, even in the bar downstairs
Nothing I can think of....
Everything. The neighbourhood (with both Pace and Fico) not only house some excellent restaurants but provide easy access to everything from the Vatican to the Forum. This will continue to be my preferred location in Centro Storico.
I didnt like the fact that I had to leave.
Great area close to what I wanted. Great area for restaurants.
Our stay at Locanda Navona was perfect. It's location and charm helped to make our experience in Rome so very special. It's the perfect location for accessing all the main tourist attractions by foot. And less than a minute walk to Piazza Navona (the best piazza!). The hotel lobby is located one flight of stairs up from the street and there's no large sign with the hotel's name on it, so it was a bit confusing to find, but when we got to the room we were as impressed as any other hotel we stayed at on our trip. Room was large, bathroom was modern and clean. Wooden shutters let us peek out on the street and watch the activity, and then you could close the large modern glass doors to shut out the street noise (which wasn't much) for sleeping. Staff was great and very helpful. Can't say enough. Will definitely book here again.
Nothing, everything was perfect.
This place was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The staff were very helpful in every way. From our window we got a real sense of the day to day activities of Italians lying in room. At first we were concerned about the noise from the street. However, the double set of windows and doors really soundproof the room. Sleep was never interrupted because I'd noise from the piazza. As well the location was ideal for exploring the major sights in the centre of Rome.
The only point to mention is that it would be nice to have access to breakfast in the morning without having to go looking for places which might be open in the area. In fact we discovered during the last couple of days of our stay that there was shop just below us which served excellent coffee and croissants. Maybe a voucher area arrangement could be made with the owners of Locanda Novana. All the other places we stayed in in Italy had such an arrangement. Otherwise, all was great with this location.
This hotel is in a great location close to Piazza Navona. Many restaurants and shops are right out the door and almost all Rome sights are within walking distance.
The room overlooked the street where we could see all the activity of a Sunday evening. Liked the friendliness of the desk manager who was so helpful. The room for 3 was very spacious, spotless & comfortable.
The hotel was difficult to find because the only sign was a small brass plaque on the wall of a building that was also occupied by other B&Bs. Also it involved many stairs, which was difficult with luggage.
My wife & I spent 8 nights in late Sep'14. Room 105 was great. Walk everywhere (10min to Vatican City,30min to The Coloseum) SML supermarkets right there.100s of bars & restaurants at your door step. Very friendly & helpfull staff. Very clean & comfortable room.
Nothing that spoiled our stay.
The staff is wonderful helpful and willing to advise the rooms are clean and the location Is the best Real value for your money without a doubt
Location, location, location!! In the heart of the heart of Rome but owners have gone above and beyond to ensure a quiet night sleep! Food, atmosphere, Piazza Navona at night on your door step, Pantheon and Vatican a 5-10 min walk, Colleseum a short bus ride! Staff outstanding!
From the minute you arrive and your bags are taken to the first floor, you know you have come to the right place. The owners are friendly and obliging, the room is large, light and airy and the location is 50 metres from a lively happy piazza. If you like the noise of the vibrant atmosphere below, you can leave your window open. If you don't then the triple glazing will shut out the noise. If you want to eat locally there is a choice of at least thirty restaurants to choose from immediately below your room. If you want to go further afield most attractions are within walking distance. I would be happy to return to this hotel any time.
Everything was just right. There was nothing to criticise about this place.
Locanda Navona is only a few steps from the Piazza Navona so is in the heart of Rome. There is always something going on outside although is quiet when necessary for sleeping.
There are stairs & no lift but not really a big issue, very friendly staff.
The staff were excellent and it was in a great location
Only the stairs to get to the room
Location, Location, Location. Great staff great people.
The flight of stairs to the lift. But staff were there to assist
Entry hall stairs need upgrade. Initially a bit disconcerting! Ln could add an optional breakfast package fixed price at a local restaurant.
Location Staff was very friendly Room was clean
Wi-fi was unstable, and a lot of noise from upstairs when trying to sleep
We loved the location of this hotel. The restaurants and shopping downstairs was a treat. The piazza down the street was so much fun. And we walked to all the attractions we came to Rome for. We couldn't have asked for a better place or location. We would definitely go back.
The location really can't be beat. And I was really pleasantly surprised by how new the place felt. Very, very, very clean, well designed, and super charming. Friendly, helpful staff.
Please be aware (I was not) that there is no "hotel entrance" to this place. It takes up the second floor of a building that houses other things. You have to ring a buzzer on a big door that will most likely be closed and not look anything like a hotel entrance. And don't look for extra frills here. It is a fantastic place to stay...but not if you are used to normal westernized hotel perks. You'll get a super cute, super clean, charming place to stay. That's what you should expect here.
Staff was very helpful and the location was fantastic....close to Piazza Navona ...and within an easy walk of many tourist sites.
The room was on the small side, but very typical for European cities.
