Location was very good. Breakfast simple but adequate. Good place for city break.
Sound proofing between rooms poor.
We had the best room at the top as shown on photograph so we can't comment on other rooms. Ideally located by the fish market and not far from Rialto Bridge. Breakfast was adequate. Owner recommended a local restaurant which turned out to be superb and reasonably priced.
Four people were told at breakfast to keep their voices down as there were people sleeping in rooms whose doors open onto the breakfast room.
Classy, and excellent in every way, 5 star
Good location, spacious and cosy room, helpful staff.
The best location, near everything. The owners go the extra mille to help and make the stay very pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel.
Friendly staff even carried the bags upstairs responded to requests
Stairs many and steep and no lift
Fantastic location - just a minute from the rialto mercato vaparetto stop. Lovely room, nice breakfast. Would go back.
Locanda Poste Vecie is a great place to stay! The hotel is a hidden gem in the middle of Venice. The staff was very helpful and accommodating!
There were steep stairs to carry our luggage; no elevator.
The friendly and helpful staff, the delicious breakfast (with unlimited cappuccino), the beautiful architecture, the modern and comfortable bathroom, excellent location, the free fast WiFi.
The thin walls let you hear the screaming match from next door. Its location right next to the waterway means you get awakened by the occasional drunken loud gondola.
The staff was very polite and the location, albeit hard to find in the beginning, was very good. The breakfast was good as well.
Checkout is a bit early (by 10 am) and is a bit of a challenge to find the hotel in the narrow streets. The biggest letdown though was the lack of hot water. The water was at best relatively warm, certainly not hot enough to take a shower. This should be addressed.
This was one of the largest rooms we stayed in during our 3-1/2 week to Europe and it was a relief not to be tripping over one another and our luggage! Clean and elegantly furnished. Lovely little breakfast area allowed us to enjoy some cereal and fresh fruit which are hard to come by elsewhere in Venice. Owner was very pleasant and kindly arrived at the property at 10:30 pm to check us in due to delay in our arrival.
If this wasn't my sixth trip to Venice and if I hadn't already stayed in the area around Rialto, we might never have found the place. However, same could be said about most apartments in Venice and the owner did provide detailed instructions by email. When he says go down the "very narrow street" he means a 3 foot wide gap between two buildings! Also, Alilaguna line from airport stops on the other side of Rialto, so you have to drag your luggage up and over the bridge. If you come on the vaporetto from train or bus station, you will stop on the same side of the canal and it will be easier to deal with your baggage. Pack light and arrive early!
Great Staff, great location, Clean!
If you travel with lots of bags go to the first floor.
Water is not hot enough.
Great location near Market and easy walk to just about everywhere. Very comfortable and pretty good value.
Everything about this place and it's owners is fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was great!
The air conditioning takes a long time to cool down the room
The owner was very kind and nice and the location was much easier to find than i thought.
We followed the directions to find Locanda Poste Vecie without any problems. Maurico was extremely helpful and made us feel welcome and well cared for in every possible way. A map of where you are and recommendations of what to see and do and where to eat while you are there. Breakfast every morning was fresh, varied, and tasty. Our room was clean and had everything we needed.
close to centre
very hard to find
Location Character room on top floor Friendly owner and staff I am told excellent value for Central Venice
No communal areas
We took a water taxi from the airport and were dropped off very close to the hotel. The hotel is off of a very narrow alleyway, but that is not a problem at all. We didn't have to slepp our suitcases over any bridges. It was literally a two minute walk from the drop off place. Breakfast was complimentary and delicious. I wish we were able to stay longer. A very nice place. You will not be disappointed.
The lobby is tiny and the rooms are all up stairs. This is really not a problem, because the owner graciously brought our bags to our rooms.
We could hear people walk above our room. Restaurant downstairs washing dishes at midnight. Not good for sensitive sleeper.
having to walk through the fish market to get there
very friendly owner and location was superb (very close to Rialto Bridge), so all in all perfect for our needs
Excellent location near Rialto Bridge..fantastic view of Grand Canal from room..good breakfast
My daughter and her friends had a fantastic stay here. The staff were absolutely lovely and the room and breakfast superb. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Locanda Poste Vecie very much.
