Featuring a heated indoor pool and a rooftop bar with 360° views out over Florence, this ultra-modern hostel is a 10-minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella Train Station.
Score from 2737 reviews Very good
The 7 Santi is a friendly hostel located near the Artemio Franchi soccer stadium, and just under a quarter mile from Firenze Campo di Marte Train Station.
Score from 1295 reviews Good
I could honestly recommend this place for people with limited budget who would like to stay in the city centre. The location is really good! - few minutes walk from the railway station and all interesting monuments. The rooms was clean.
Noise form the street ( that's the disadvantage of the good location). Bathroom was cleaned once a day and unfortunately other guests were not able to leave the bathroom clean after ther visit so it got dirty quite fast.
Cool little apartment-turned-hostel. Not the typical hostel, but it can grow on you a lot!
Pretty hot at night, but it was also July in Italy. Bed was pretty uncomfortable. The bathroom was decent, but water from the shower would leak all over the floor.
It's located so close from important places.
I reserved to stay in Locanda Rocco but when I arrived there they took me to another hotel that is called Ottavino, It's ugly... And I never receive an email asking me this change or sth like that. Also you have to pay if you want to have WiFi
It was a clean place to sleep.
Split into two buildings across street from each other. No sense of community. Bathrooms tiny. Old worn out feel. It was ok, but the competition is moving past them in a hurry. Staff was efficient but not enjoying their work, just competently doing their jobs.
The location of this hostel was fantastic.
1. Bathroom not clean, light broken , very cramped and little airflow. 2. Matresses springy and uneven made for a terrible nights rest. 3. Power went out one night. 4. TV in common room did not work. 5. Wifi connection weak
Location is good. There was a washing machine.
The room and bathroom are filthy. Hair everywhere on the wall of bathroom, wet floor, the lights are very dim. The room did not have an AC(which is fine) but the only window in the room was so small and facing the inside of the building complex, so almost no ventilation. It was incredibly hot in the room. Half of the common area is outdoor, and it is useless when it rains. Rain pours over the couches and the next day you can't sit on them cuz they are all wet. Wifi worked intermittently. After the check out time(11:00am), you cannot linger in the common area, which I think is absurd. I returned all keys and moved out from the room so that the next person can check in. I was planning just chill there for an hour or so until my train time. They kicked me out from the lounge. The managers are nice when you check in, but they turn into different people if you try to use one more bit of their facilities. They probably didn't want me to use electricity for one more hour (I was charging my laptop). I like to travel and I've been to many hostels in european and south/north american countries. and this is so far the WORST hostel I've ever been to. Location is good, but that's the only thing.
small Italian house
the toilet's lock doesn't work. I saw people can get in while someone is pooing ! (The second toilet near the kitchen) The wifi is totally poor, limit devices can connect. The air conditioner is only for decoration
Wifi was not everywhere. Bedsheets were not changed daily.
Good atmosphere and location.
Very noisy outside with bar in front of sleeping room.
They said leaving our luggage there would be a 2 euro deposit per bag. When we were leaving and asked for our deposit they claimed that it is not a deposit and sorry but we lost our money.
great location,clean sheets,nice stuff
not so clean,old equipments
Perfect location, hostel recently refurbished and very clean. Staff extremely helpful and nice. Highly recommended
The only thing that is okay is the location.
Please be really careful when chose this hotel. The room is really hot, there is no hot water for shower, there are only two shared bathroom on one floor which is not enough for like 4 or five rooms. There is one shower room in our room, but it is only a small room for shower, not a bathroom. The shower is just beside a bed, and when someone is showering inside, all the others can see him, since the doors are quite transparent. Also, the WiFi charges, if you need to deposit your bags, they also charge you. Basically everything charges. The staff at the front desk is not patient at all. We see him argue with other travelers about the breakfast. When we wanted to deposit our bags, he asked us to pay. We gave him money, but he threw it back and threat us that if we don't pay, he could not guarantee that nothing will be stolen. But we did not say that we don't want to pay. We understand they want to earn money, but not with this bad attitude. This hotel is a huge disappointment and I think with this money, one can definitely find a better place. All the other hotels and hostels that I've stayed is better than this one. Again, be careful!!
It was a basic room, clean
No air conditioning, no bathroom soap
Good location, helpful stuff. I was actually led to another hostel nearby, and that hostel was good. And really cheap prices for beds!
The lock to the door of my room was not easy to open.
Close to train. Cheap room.
If you don't mind looks or comfort, this is a great place. Wifi didn't work.
The dirtiest hostel I've ever seen
a great location in Florence, closed to the train station, and everywhere is easy to walk to
Not far from train station
You have to check in actions the street at hotel Tuscan. While they do accept credit cards you have to pay the city tax of 2$ by cash. Which is weird cause I didn't have to do that in venice. However the other hostel I'm staying at now had the same thing. Also couldn't find a outlet in room to charge my phone probably wasn't one.
This is value for money if you don't mind things being 'tired'. Enjoyed the banter with the Albanian night manager (slow night train from Rome arrives @ 2.00 am)
The street noise, if you have one of the back rooms I think it would be quiter
Location. Was next to train station and the sights we wanted to see.
The bed was broken. However i did sleep well!!
Location was very good
It is noisy
Location was good and the hostel was safe. Upon arrival staff were very friendly and helpful.
Initially I booked 3 nights but booked another to make a total of 4 before I arrived. When I checked in I asked if they had both been received. At this point I was told yes and that he had arranged for me to stay in the same room rather than having to move. At midnight on the fourth night a different staff member entered the room where I was in bed asleep and told me I shouldn't be there. I explains what I was told at check in and he told me that was wrong and I'd have to move rooms now. I simply refused as I had been asleep and thought it was wrong to ask me to move in the middle of the night. I also explained that room service had attended that day and changed the there beds of those who left that morning. My bed was made the same as every other day I'd stayed, indicating room service knew I was there and knew I was staying another night. This ruined what would have been a good experience. The bathroom floors are also wet and dirty a lot of the time due to the layout of the bathroom. There is no social aspect to this hostel. The kitchen consists of only a microwave and a kettle.
I do not like the place.
I have to say that it is not very easy to find the place for an Asian because of the different way in constructing a city, but it is very near to the train station.
The cosiness of the hostel was great. The fact that there was free wifi and showering fascilities that were rather private once you closed the bathroom door.
The fact that there was no kettle or stove, and basic cooking utensils, wasn't so great.
