Ercolo the proprietor was exceptional. He could not do enough for us. He set up tours to vineyard, winery, castles etc. Which were unique and extremely interesting. Food was excellent and he was extremely worthy advocate of his region.

Hotel was clean, but a bit tired. It does need some updating,but this is a house in the hills of Tuscany and being rustic depens on your wants. Ercole charm and constant attention to his guests made our stay memorable.

Staff were nice although when you take you take in account the negatives that impression is lost.

Our room was smaller than a Paris room however this was a tiny village with not many attractions in the middle of nowhere and with 2 people and bagagge (nowhere to put our cases) and the prices felt like Paris. There was no room to move or sit. The bathroom was smallest I have ever seen. The light was very poor. Website misleading:photoshopped? Admittedly the apartments were charming, we were a group so we were able to see all the rooms, however there were only a few of these and the price of the rooms did not reflect the vast difference in the standard oveall. And our room was particularly small and the same price. Given this I think the owners should have been upfront about the room size. For one person it would have just been okay, not 2. The common area downstairs was dark and pamphets and junk had taken over all availbale space. Not all welcoming and conducive to relaxing. given the size of our room that left us nowhere to relax.

Small, friendly, quiet hotel in a pleasant town. Nice staff and very relaxing environment and a very nice swimming pool. The food is excellent and will not leave you feeling empty! Like minded guests results in a good atmosphere. We would go back without hesitation.

Well, as it can be veryhot, the room could have been better ventilated but short of air conditioning (which would not quite fit the ambience) maybe a fan or two would be a good idea..Otherwise no complaints..

Excellent helpful staff in a rural village setting. Comfortable room with good views. Excellent breakfast. Nice pool.

The dining room was gloomy and needed brightening up. The evening meal was very expensive for what it was.

Beautiful village, lovely walking in the hills surrounding the town, and the owners are excellent cooks and hosts.
