Staff friendliness, the venue itself is clean and lovely, the range of food at breakfast is phenomenal, the shower was excellent. The location just outside of the city is extremely convenient. We hope to return again. The owners made us feel like family.

To our taste, the mattress was a bit too hard. Some cushioning would be helpful for sleep comfort.

excellent location, in the hills with no neighbours and (far) away from the buzz at the beach of Senigallia. (rental) car is very convenient because of this. great pool (with sun beds), excellent, friendly atmosphere and staff. great breakfast. wifi worked 24/7. the restaurant on the same venue as the hotel serves fantastic food for decent prices

beds were quite hard to sleep on

This is such a wonderful place. The two sisters take care of their guests in the most charming way. It's like coming home. At the property is also a very good restaurant - exellent food, the most charming staff and service. This is really value for money!

This is truly a find. We are planning to return to Italy next year just so we can visit again. The attention to every detail made for a most enjoyable stay. One cannot say enough about the pleasant and restful atmosphere. The restaurant on the premises was also excellent.

The Locanda Della Strada is run by two sisters who inherited the family home from their parents, who lovingly restored this traditional Italian farmhouse. The welcome is exceptionally warm and one feels that one is a guest in a family home, rather than a hotel. Senigallia as a resort has been sadly spoiled by tourism and immigration, yet, set just outside the town in the beautiful Marche Region countryside, one quickly relaxes in the peaceful environment of the Locanda and its gardens. The building is beautiful and furnished traditionally, with some lovely touches. NOT for those looking for ultra modern minimalistic accommodation but definitely for those seeking to experience the real essence of Italy and exceptional hospitality. Breakfast is a wonderful experience. Everything laid out so beautifully. NB This accommodation is ideal for those travelling to or from the port of Ancona. Just 45 minutes' drive away. A fabulous overnight stop before or after a ferry journey.

There is an on-site restaurant which (we had experienced on a previous trip) which serves wonderful cuisine. We had assumed it would be open but, on arrival, discovered that it was closed for three months. This was slightly disappointing. However, the owners booked us a table at a recommended restaurant two minutes' drive away where we were not at all disappointed. Fabulous. So all was not lost!

A quaint, countryside spot a stone's throw away from the centre, Locanda della Marina was a fantastic spot to crash in while on a business trip. The atmosphere is great and the place is charming, as are its owners. Locanda della Strada della Marina is very well looked after with a very good eye for detail and lots of passion. A gem.

Personable owner with excellent recommendation for a dinner restaurant.

This is really a summer hotel. No other facilities are available in the off season so it makes the stay rather oppressive.

Where to start? Convenient for those travelling to/from Ancona Ferry Port, close to the motorway for access to the Adriatic Coast, yet with an amazing "far-away-from-it-all" ambience. This locanda (guest house) is a small family-run hotel, once a home. The two sisters who looked after our smallest needs have lived there all their lives and were so very obliging. The smallest touches have been thought of at Locanda Stranda Della Marina. It has an authentic Italian feel and is situated in a beautiful countryside spot. We ate in the restaurant where the chef took such pride and pleasure in creating a delicious evening meal with his own special touches. Highly recommended. This hotel really did exceed our expectations.

Very little! The positives far outweighed any minor negatives. The bed was a little hard - but the room so peaceful we slept like babies, so it can't have been that bad!

Beautiful grounds, delicious buffet breakfast, large common room for relaxing, friendly staff with great service, very good restaurant on site, great location 3K from the beaches of Senigallia and 45 min. driving time to Frassassi caves, Umbria, and the Conero Peninsula.

Bed was hard, shower stall was small, and wireless did not always work in our room.
