This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at throughout the world. The hotel is old world and typical Venetian decore with smallish but well laid out and excellently appointed rooms. The location is fantastic. We had a normal room overlooking the canal but to our pleasant surprise it also provided a great view of the lagoon.The staff were exceptional.Warm, caring and genuinly friendly. Particularly Armondo, Rodney, Barbara and Marco. It was as if we were part of their family. We had one small problem with our shower head and it was fixed within minutes. Their knowledge of Venice and the time they took to help us was something we will always remember. We had a bad experience with one of their associate hotels and even though it was not their problem, they went out of their way to make sure things were fixed.

Lovely hotel, gracious staff and perfect location in the city

The location of the hotel was perfect for the opera, shopping and siteseeing. The opulence and decor of the hotel was totally awesome and full of traditional venetian splendour and charm.

on our last night the staff omitted to turn down our bed or fill up the mini bar from the previous day - a relatively minor thing but when you are payng 320 euros per night, service becomes more important. We arrived back to the hotel late after an evening at the opera so it was disappointing to find this lack of attention to detail.

Great outlook - good breakfasts - good & quiet for the location, very close to St Marcos square room service very efficient and unintrusive.

Perfect location. Excellent, efficient and careful service. Good restaurant with nice view. It was our second stay in this hotel and we will definitely book it if we have the chance to visit Venice again.

The hotel's location and ambience combined for a memorable stay. The views out of our window were magnificent. Very relaxing, comfortable, and welcoming.

Great location,right on the main lagoon in Venice. Larger than normal room,with balcony overlooking the waterway. Close to St Marks and shopping. I upgraded to a waterfront the second night of stay. Breakfast had hot as well as cold selections and set in a well appointed and inviting area of the hotel. There was a nice outdoor bar area on the fourth floor overlooking the canals as well .

Air conditioning in room was marginal.

Great location near San Marco square. Very nice rooms. Good service and complementary breakfast. Staff was friendly and professional and helped with navigation, maps, etc.

Tiny bathroom with a very small shower. Other rooms probably have different sized showers but this one was so small your elbows would knock the sides of the shower enclosure. They wouldn't exchange an American Express 100 euro travelers check for cash. The other hotels we stayed at in Italy did this for us with no issues.

The hotel was very clean, good location and good air conditioning.

The room was quite small and we had a cold/warm shower on the 1st day, which wasn't handled well by the hotel staff and was probably linked to a later wake up when everyone esle had used up the supply. The hotel was quite pricey, so we would have expected better.
