View was superb. Room was handsome. Bath was great. Staff was most helpful.

Beds had a bit of a ridge/were a bit sunk in. Could stand better mattresses.

The staff was extremely helpful, the location is just the best you can get, and the small restaurant with a fabulous view on the top floor terrace makes the whole experience just wonderful! Definitely a place to come back!

Although the wi-fi is free, but every time your device goes into sleep mode you'd have to reconnect and enter the login and password (both very complicated odd letters and numbers) again and again! and that drives nuts!... VERY inconvenient and I hope they change it eventully...

Elegant hotel, beautiful furniture. Though the room is quite small, it is very convenient, with good bathroom. Room is very clean. Good breakfast. Nice hotel to stay 2-3 days.

Excellent service, a spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed, good bathroom and shower and a great view over the lagoon, worth the extra. Good quality breakfast of the usual continental type with some additions. The location would be hard to beat.

THE LOCATION, THE STAFF, the manager upgraded our room the superior room was gorgeous but the regular room was very old. It was supposed to be a three bedroom and the third bed was a very small sofa. Our teens are very tall and big. the bathrooms were big. The breakfast delicious

Our review is undoubtedly colored by the fact that the hotel upgraded us to a junior suite. This room had a terrace overlooking the Venice lagoon and we were able to watch all of the ships (and the streaming tourists below) from our private perch. There are no words to describe how wonderful this was. The room was excellent to (although the typical Venice over-decoration was much in evidence with red velvet wallpaper!), spacious and comfy. The location of this hotel is just wonderful - any room would be good and you are so close to everything. The breakfast was excellent also and the staff very helpful.

Location and quality of room

We booked this hotel after a lot of searches on the net. We had read many positive reviews about this hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was spotless (three rooms actually). On the negative side... Breakfast was just adequate and not a great selection. Rooms and bathroom are very small but adequate. We would stay there again!

This hotel is ideally located for access from the airport or train as it is close to the water taxi and vaporetto stops. It is also top quality accomodation with very friendly and extremely helpful staff. The whole experience was outstanding. Close to san Marco Sq.

Our room had a window with a wonderful view of the Rio Dei Greci Canal, the bridge over the Canal, the Riva Degli Schiavoni and the imposing church of S. Maria della Salute in Dorsoduro. The hotel is very close to the Piazza San Marco and there are many shops and restaurants nearby.It is also very close to the Vaporetto and Alilaguna landing stages at San Zaccaria. Our room was very tastefully decorated and very quiet. Breakfast in the Dining Room was very good.

Everything at Locanda Vivaldi was excellent.

Professional staff willing to assist with special requests and personal services. This hotel is the only one that offered free wi fi during our 3 week visit to Europe, which we appreciated having. The only 4 star hotel that provided this service that we stayed in. This hotel has their own pier to facilitate easy water taxi access. A godsend if you have a lot of luggage as we did. But also offers water bus transportation stop adjacent to hotel for convenient access to Venice key points of interests. Easy 5 minute walk to San Marco square areas. Less than 30 rooms, which provides intimate, cozy environment. Quality breakfast provided by experienced wait staff. Their corner superior rooms offer fantastic views of waterfront and provided a great way to experience Venice from your own private setting. Great air conditioning that will keep you comfortable during very hot Venice days and nights. We were travel weary customers by the time we reached Venice at the end of our itinerary and found a much needed oasis in this clean, charming hotel. Great romantic get away location.

Was not really impressed with the regular standard room we originally booked, since no view and seemed very small and dark. But probably still a step above any other " standard" room in Venice when you take everything into consideration this hotel has to offer. Treat yourself to their superior room with double the size and great views. Would have loved to see a bath tub in that lovely marble bathroom, just to make it perfect.

Excellent location with the view over Canal Grande, splendid for a photographer! Only one stairs over a canal from vaporetto. Very polite and helpful staff, luxurious interior and the beautiful room was very clean. Very tasty breakfast with warm bread and possibility to cook your own egg! I'm looking forward to stay visit this hotel in Venice again!

Locanda Vivaldi is a beautiful hotel, set in a perfect location on Venice, within 15 minutes walk of most attractions. The views from our Superior Lagoon Room were breathtaking.
