There is only one person at hotel, she is housekeeper and receptionist and breakfast prepare and security. When she finish her work at 12:00 she goes. Nobody at hotel afternoon and night.
finally man on reception.
i was so surprise when we arrived.no reception, only skype.little bit weird.in morning it was one kind man but not in evening.we have been in basemant,no windows.all night our door was open because you couldnt breath.it was like prison.it is venice,i respect town, but you cant rent this kind of room that we stayed.
The location was great! Room was clean.
Breakfast was minimal, a roll. Croissant with jams, a cappuccino and a glass of juice.
Location is really great - even though couple steps away from Rialto bridge but calm corner from most tourists.
It is a simple but good place to stay. It could be a bit cleaner, but still I'd think it is good value for money.
Location was great, Breakfast was better than expected.
No one at reception, had to Skype with hotel operator. No clear instructions on how to enter hotel.
The location was good
The beds were uncomfortable, the hostess was unpleasant and absent 90% of the time (if she wasn't there you would have to check in via Skype!!!!), the wallpaper was grotty, the door of the bedroom was 2 feet from the reception desk and didn't open properly and myself and my mother did not enjoy one good night's sleep. Would not return even if it was free.
I picked the place because of the location, being in the San Polo Sesterie, away from San Marco Square, across the Grand Canal. Very quiet, and with the local Venetians....authentic area
A steep dark stairway leads to the reception desk. We were greeted by a computer! FaceTime, I guess, and who knows where the owner was. Dubai? Weird..... The lady serving breakfast never smiled and called me, "that woman". Impolite and rude. The room very dated and "on the edge" of rundown.
Position was the only thing going for this hostel
Shower was not good, very basic facilities. As above, more of a basic bed and breakfast Breakfast was horrible Flickering lights and so so wi fi
Great location, rooms were always very clean and wifi access was very good
Skype check-in was very strange but worked absolutely fine. The hotel isn't staffed for most of the time so protocol if something happened or we needed something was unclear.
The location is good and easy to find, the room actually looks like the photos and the service was good. Breakfast was basic but good enough.
The shower is really small, like you can even move inside.
Great location and very clean Check in by Skype very straight forward The receptionist was excellent
Had to be near reception to log on to wifi but worked fine in your room once logged on
Location was 100m from Rialto bridge. The staff were friendly. The check in was via remote computer on day we arrived but we then met the owner the following day. Given location and cost reasonable provided you don't want your luxuries.
Room was small and dark. We had room1. I would avoid as on the ground floor and was a bit noisy. Décor was tired and bathroom needs an update but functional. Breakfast OK but you have to have on tray in room.
very good location, quiet street, very cheap price, rooms are nicely decorated
there were no reception service all day round
location - quiet and central very nice croissants for breakfast spacious room for weary travellers
lack of wifi - couldnot find or connect to network for our entire stay (3 nights)
Location and breakfast
Great location near the Rialto Bridge. Check-in via skype, special, but the staff was very friendly. Lady who brought us the breakfast very very kind and caring. We would go back just for her!
Room nr. 1 very very small and that gave the impression of being in a basement. Typical Venetian décor that have improved the overall impression.
Staff was not friendly or helpful Breakfast was bad Old, unclean feeling room Safe didn't work Refrigerator didn't work
room with fungus lights flickering wi-fi didn't work in room 1 the manager didn't make the effort to change the room for us!
good location, 5 minutes walking from a station and about 10-15 minutes walk from Rialto bridge. staff fairly friendly.
very basic breakfast, tea or coffee with 1 pastry&1 bread to eat in the room. wifi is poor, keep disconnect. room not very bright.
Location and staff service
Shower cubicle is small and lack of laundry facilities
Breakfast was great - coffee, juice & hot crouissants. Close to Rialto Bridge and back roads. Easy to get around and explore where the Venetians go.
Small shower and beds not the most comfortable.
Very good location. Quiet part of Venice with close proximity to Rialto. Family hotel with very friendly and flexible lady helping us with all our non-standard requirements. Spacious, clean room. Will definitely come again if in Venice.
Smell in the corridor (not in room).
The location is excellent close to the Rialto bridge and many shops and restaurants.
The hotel is on the opposite side of the Rialto bridge to the water bus stop from Piazza Roma and the Alilaguna stop for transfer to the airport. Therefore if travelling with heavy luggage you will need to negotiate the steps and congestion on the bridge to to reach these stations. A porter will take your luggage over on a trolley for you at a cost of 100 euros! This would deter me from booking this hotel again. Otherwise clean and perfect for a short stay in the centre of Venice.
The host requests to state a double or twin room is needed. We requested a twin room but when we checked in, the host simply said that the twin rooms were full and could not be arranged. If this request cannot be entertained, why did the hist not reply through email beforehand? We had to stay there for 2 nights because we could not find another place to stay right away. We felt cheated.
Location was amazing! Just a few minutes' walk from the Rialto Bridge, so it made it easy to navigate such a complex town. Also, it was central enough to stop by our room for a midday rest!
We rang the doorbell, and a voice answered, but the door would not open. It took at least a dozen frustrated tries. We were wondering why someone didn't just come downstairs and open it from the other side, and we soon found out why: the receptionist is someone on Skype! She directed us to our room and asked us to check in the next morning. I don't mind Skype receptionists. Yet, when there was someone there, they were nasty. We were tired the next morning and happily slept through breakfast. When my husband went to the desk an hour after breakfast ended to check in with a real person, she yelled at him that she had been waiting for over an hour for us to come get our breakfast! I could hear her yelling from our room! She showed him the tray of orange juice and 2 croissants sitting there, but said he couldn't have them- as if we were 5 year olds learning a lesson. We didn't know breakfast is mandatory- we didn't even want it! If you're going to have a Skype reception, you have to make up for it with smiling faces later- not the breakfast police.
