The price was fair based on local rates.
The room is a little small and the location is at the edge of the central areas.
Ca'zosa hotel surprised as so amazingly. The location is just perfect so close to both great water bus stops ( Academia bridge or Salute) just opposite to main city center ( St Marco). is located just on "door step" to Peggy Guggenheim collection. lots of places to eat and drink around. Our hotel room was perfect for us, clean, worm, good choices in mini bar, breakfast nice and light perfect for early mornings. stuff always helpful. I'm sure everybody will enjoy it :) I would definitely go back again :)
The hotel is a small B & B hotel which entirely suited our needs. Room and en suite was fine, mini bar inexpensive, air con and wi fi good. First class location ,opposite St Marks. Sq .plenty of less pricey local bars and restaurants on that side of the Grand Canal. A two minute walk to the No 1 Vaporetto stop at Salute from which easy access to anywhere in Venice
The breakfast room was a bit poky, however the breakfast was excellent. There is no bar as such in the hotel so one has to stay in ones room whenever one is in the hotel
The location is perfect, very close to the centre. Staff is helpful and rooms are proper Venetian style.
Nothing to say
The staff were friendly. There is a mini bar in the room and most of the things were priced reasonably although they have small bottles of water which you can get cheaper elsewhere. I had a double bed but I think that the room is mostly used for solo travellers. The bed was comfortable.
The room isn't very big. The b and b is on a small laneway which is quite secluded so I didn't feel completely comforable walking back to the hotel in the evening. When first making your way to the hotel, plan your route. I think the easiest route from the train station is to turn right and go across the bridge turn right, walk towards motorway and turn left and follow the path around the outside of the island- Just check the name of the road you have to turn onto for hotel. Distance wise, it may not be the shortest way but less bridges than other ways and less chance of getting lost.
Excellent location by the Guggenheim Foundation, walking distance to Santa Maria della Salute and the Accademia Gallery (on the other side of the Grand canal from St. Marco). It's hard to call this location "off the beaten path," but I much prefer it to the throngs in some other places. Excellent base for exploring the city, near a vaporetto stop (direct from the train station). A charming hotel with lots of character, more elegant room furnishings than I'd expected. The beds were very comfortable too, which mattered to us adults with bad backs. Helpful discreet staff, very nice breakfast with real espresso/cappuccino (breakfast is often so-so in Italy, but not here). I hope to be back for a longer stay some day!
There was nothing I didn't like. There is no lift, but that's to be expected in Venice--the historical downtown is just not well suited for mobility impaired travelers. However, the stairs were comfortable. Checkout time is relatively early (10 AM); while that's common in Venice as well, a later checkout would have been nice.
Easy to find in a great neighborhood, helpful and attentive staff available around the clock, lovely accommodations (even for a standard room!) - we will be back again soon!
Friendly staff, away from the crowds but close enough to walk or catch the ferry or condela across the main channel
There is no lift so if you have heavy bags its a struggle to carry them up stairs
Staff extremely good Cleanliness perfect Location very good
Wifi often did not work and when it did it was very slow. Very steep stairs for older people and convoluted walk to rooms, but not insurmountable. Breakfast are very small but not disastrous.
Location was great away from the tourist crowds, but still close to Academia bridge. Clean rooms, nice breakfast with made to order coffee. Staff available 24/7. Quiet.
We stayed in the quad which was fairly small. We had to rearrange the furniture when we arrived because the staff had set up the two twin beds in a very odd way. Staff were efficient but not very personable.
The staff were accommodating and the Dorsodoro area is great for avoiding Venice crowds.
The room I stayed in was practically a box with a bed, very small and claustrophobic. The window was facing a small courtyard where all the AC was so you couldn't open the window for all the noise. The toilet broke down twice during one afternoon, but the staff did manage to fix it after that. There is no lift but the staff will help you with the luggage upon request.
Great location next to waterbus stop.
Wifi poor, seems to be the case in all hotels we have stayed in on this trip to Italy. Would be good if there was a full length mirror for getting ready.
Everything & nice location. Breakfast was very good too.
There was nothing I didn't like. A better iron would have been appreciated though!
It was ok, friendly staff, good breakfast
Wifi wasn't the best in our room upstairs
Friendly staff Good location Easy access Comfortable room Quiet at night
wi-fi is lame. either it does not work or it is waay too slow. breakfast space was smaller than the room we stayed. only 10 can eat together. it is cramped. and generally you have to wait in queue to find a place.
Great quiet location but close to major sights. Would stay here again.
Very small shower, but that seems to be typical and bed was very firm, which is good for those who like a firm bed.
The location was wonderful. We were taken by water taxi right up to the hotel door. We were less than 5 walking minutes from two "vaporeto" terminals, and five minutes ftom the beautiful San Marco square. The room had a very good size and was very conforyable.
The breakfast room was a bit too small.
This hotel is perfectly located near the Academia bridge. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was adequate.
The room was not as spic and span as the pictures suggest but they are adequate.
Very comfortable, located easy access to all atractions. Staff where terrific, breakfast was great, room and bathroom very comfortable. Highly recommendable.
We enjoyed the location away from the crowds.
The walls are thin and noise from the amorous couple next door was disturbing.
The location and the staff were outstanding. They really went above and beyond to help us. Kudos to the high standards of cleanliness.
It was noisy. Our room faced a small side street. Even with the windows closed… you could still hear the noise outside. It did quiet down after 11 pm. But it was hard to carry on a phone conversation earlier around 7 pm. The breakfast area was way too small. The food selection was very limited and had a processed packaged feel.
Stairs small and steep. Three small doors problem. Air con didn't work.
It is a small hotel with a great attention. Rooms are big and the bathroom very comfortable. It is located in a great place near the academia bridge (and vaporeto stop)
We liked everything. As a suggestion, bring small laugage since venice has a lot of small bridges (to get to most of the hotels you will have to cross bridges) and sometimes it is exhausting with big laugage.
