The Hotel is a Budget Hotel so don't expect any luxury. However, the Hotel/Hostel is very comfortable and clean. The Staff are very friendly and warm. They are simply wonderful. The location is very okay.
I arrived the Hotel after a long and tiring flight around mid night. I didn't like the fact that I wasn't offered anything to drink or eat.
We were in Rome from 10 to 14 December 2014. The staff was very helpful, specially Ali and Antonio, they were very kind and explained us in detail the easiest way to reach attraction points. The location is near the historical center and at the same time in a quite and nice area of Rome. The building is relatively old but the room and the bathroom was very clean. The breakfast was lovely (Italian style brioche, cappuccino, succo di frutta. My children loved the brioche with chocolate) Very good connections (line A san giovani, bus 81,801, 16). You can get to the hotel from Fiumicino airport with FL1 line directly to Rome Tuscolana train station and the ticket is cheaper only 8 Euro per person.
24 hour reception. Staff (Ali in particular) were very knowledgeable about the area and helpful when explaining options of things to do, places to see, where to eat, prices, time scales & transport. There was access to PC with free internet.in breakfast room. Access to small garden from breakfast room. We had great weather for December - Blue skies & no rain for the 4 day trip. Staff happy to help with request for 2 pin adapter when needed. I would use this B&B again.
No option of Cereal for breakfast. Shower took ages to get temperature right.
We booked after reading some good reviews about the staff and especially Ali himself. Well the truth is that we had an amazing time in Rome and most of it was down to Ali and his wonderful advice. If I come again I know where I'm going to stay.
No complaints really but if anything an electric kettle would have been nice.
Great owner and staff especially Ali. We did not know how to get back to the hotel one night and they guided us and made sure we ladies were safe.
Noise from other young hotel guests.
Great staff and wifi.
Location was kind of out of the way and there was no air conditioning which is horrible in the summer/ early fall.
The staff are wonderful, they really made our stay in Rome much easier by giving great advise on our sightseeing and using public transport. Having breakfast in the garden was lovely.
Excellent value and very firendly staff.
Wish it had air conditioning in July.
Ali was amazing! He gave us an excellent route for sightseeing and getting to the airport. He also helped print off our boarding passes and was generally welcoming. Room was clean, breakfast was good and computer access was very helpful!
Was close to tourist attractions and was quiet. Easy access to bus and metro, beautiful garden, great staff, helpful, friendly.
We liked all the staff very much, they are all very helpful and friendly. Thanks Antonio, Merella, Claudio and Ali. We liked the breakfast in the garden. We liked the comfort of the beds. We liked the quite neighborhood which is still close to 2 bus stations ( casalina/gallarate if you want to go to or return from termini and la spezia/Lodi if you want to go to or return from the closest metro station San Giovani). There was a very nice traditional Italian Restaurent close to the hotel. I really recommend the quadraple room for any family like us. The value for the money is excellent especially in the very expensive city of Rome.
The only thing that I did not like was that Italy lost its match with Costa Rica in the worldcup , this because I wanted this incredible staff not be disappointed and because Pirlo is my favorite football player :)
I can't say enough about how wonderful our 8 days at Hotel Lodi were. The staff are beyond excellent. They are full of information where to go in Rome and how to get there, and gave us great recommendations for local resturants. Our room was beautiful, quite large with a large bathroom overlooking the garden. Breakfast was simple but always fantastic. This hotel is located about a 30 min walk from the Colosseum, and about 15 to 20 mins from the train station. The bus stop is a 5 min walk and will take you anywhere you need to go. Really a terrific place to stay. We didn't want to leave.
Very friendly staff. The owner really cared about pleasing his clients. The room was large and very clean.
Breakfast was a bit redundant. Location is a bit far from nearest metro station and bus system is unreliable. This was ok for us since we are young and we don't mind walking a lot. But could be an issue for people with reduced mobility.
Beyond this being a lovely and comfortable place to stay -- with a shady, peaceful garden -- the people who worked there took such good care of us. We would stay here again without hesitation.
We loved staying at Hotel Lodi - staff is just perfect, warm welcoming and amazingly helpful. I can't even describe all the great emotions we still have, we are very satisfied with the choice we made. And their garden - what an amazing place!!!!! Hotel is close to the centre, but at the same time you feel so relaxed there (no rush)! Fantastic!!! + beds were comfortable; + wifi was working well. We give 10 from 10!
The staff were fabulous, and it was very nice that breakfast was included - the espresso and cappucino was an excellent touch! The staff helped us navigate the city so well.
The road traffic was noisy in our room, and it was a little far from city center. However, there is a new subway line being built that will make this location amazing when completed.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Lovely garden.
Room quite small and there was quite a bit if traffic noise at night.
Hotel Lodi is a fab place to stay away from the hussle and bussle of Rome's centre. The hotel had everything we required and had a rustic appeal to it which is what we love. The garden is a bonus being able to sit out and eat breakfast or for a coffee on return from a long day of sight seeing. The room was comfortable and had everything we required. There is access to computers for free and the staff are very knowledgeable of all that Rome has to offer and Ali gave us a perfect itinerary over two days which was spot on. Ali was a perfect host and was upbeat and friendly and nothing was too much. Well done to Hotel Lode - our experience was great and we hope to return.
Very, very friendly, nice, kind and very helpful staff; nice garden where you can eat breakfast and spend time; close to public transportation; everyday cleaning. Strongly recommend the hotel.
